Steps to reproduce:Just finished rendering several dozen files, which worked flawlessly! The CUDA acceleration problem I last reported is fixed, and the machine went to sleep when it was done.When the machine awoke, it showed green checkmarks on all of the files that they were done, but the Encoding window showed the last file open with the progress bar half done. That had me confused for a moment. When I clicked  the comment button, the Encoding window cleared and now is OK.That freeze in the encoding window could confuse someone, so I’m reporting it as a bug. System info    Application: Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) v26.3.0.29    OS: Windows v10.0.26200, RAM: 63.79 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

Yesterday I rendered a timeline to h.264 and AME shows a choice of renderer for either the nVidia 5080 Cuda or Software only. Hi,I’m currently testing the Media Encoder Beta and noticed an issue with GPU acceleration.In the Beta version, the Renderer option is greyed out and locked to “Software Only”, so I can’t enable GPU acceleration.In contrast, in the non-beta (stable) version, GPU acceleration works perfectly and is enabled as expected.System details: GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti I’ve already checked that my GPU drivers are up to date and that no other settings differ between the beta and non-beta installations.Thanks in advance for any insights.

New in Media Encoder (Beta) 25.6 build 38: Transcribe source footage directly into .prmi sidecar files so editors can jump into Text-Based Editing the moment they open Premiere Pro.   If you're working with a high volume of footage, waiting for transcription can slow you down. This update lets you offload that task to Media Encoder during import, enabling transcription to run in parallel while you continue editing in Premiere Pro.   This builds on our existing use of .prmi files for visual analysis which enables editors to jump into the search panel in Premiere Pro. I have a watch folder set and a preset to transcribe all video files in the folder. Issue number one is that for about half of the video files I get an error saying that analysis only works for media files, which they obviously are. If I put the videos into Premiere the text gets transcribed just fine. Issue two is that Premiere isn’t recognizing the .prmi files. For the videos that do get transcribed, when I put them into premiere it doesn’t recognize that it’s been transcribed already and I don’t see a way to import the .prmi files and I have to transcribe in premiere again. Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something here?

Anyone experiencing Media Encoder 26.0 running extremely slow and only using a small percentage of their GPUs?

There is a marked export speed issue with the latest builds of Media Encoder Beta (Versions will be noted at the end) when exporting with Premier Pro Beta, direct Clip is an Iphone 30 FPS REC709, with Lum color applied, no other effects.Clip is 5min, 43 secondsPremier Direct Export is 6 minMedia Encoder is over 21 minSystem is using a RTX3090FE  Export Settings: Versions:  This performance degradation has only been present since after the fix when every export to media encoder was failing, it was working within expecations prior to this, approx a week ago, I cant recall the exact last properly workign version.

Media encoder do not render any project from Premiere Pro.

I'm trying to render DV NTSC AVI files to MP4. Having extreme difficulty if I'm not using the SSD array because AME now needs to read the whole file before it does anything. I'm using SATA spinning drives on a USB 3 dock because the files have to be captured on other machines (because Firewire Capture is now omitted on Premier). Source files are between 8-12GB Steps to reproduce:    1. Drop a file into the render queue   OR2. once it loads click the preset setting to change settings Result: It takes forever.  Looking at Task Manager, the drive is reading the entire file at full USB speed (external drive), but the file's so big it's taking 5 minutes to do just one file. Unacceptable.Expected: AME is ready to go within seconds. Workaround: Use CS6. Just to test, I started the queue in CS6. New in Media Encoder (Beta) 25.3 build 35 you can generate visual analysis sidecar files so that editors in Premiere Pro will be able to use visual search as soon as they import the media. Read the Premiere Pro Beta Feature page and the FAQ page to learn more about Media Intelligence Search.With this new functionality in Media Encoder, you can: Analyze individual files in the Queue using the Visual Analysis system preset Create an Ingest Preset that includes a Visual Analysis step Create a new Analysis Watch Folder   These will write a sidecar .prmi file next to the media file which contains the visual analysis. You can now choose to automatically shut down your computer when the entire Media Encoder render queue is complete.  Check the option at the bottom of the queue.      This is useful to save energy by powering down the system after a long overnight render job for example.  Media Encoder will issue the shutdown command to the OS, but other apps could still interrupt the shutdown process at the OS level, so be sure to quite those other apps.  This option is sticky, meaning it will still be checked the next time you launch Media Encoder.   Be careful testing, because . . . your computer will shut down . . . which is the intention of course 🙂   This feature is available in AME beta 22.0 build 89 and later.   We want to know what you think.  Please join the conversation below.

export stuk at 100 did not finsh

Here's something that always drove me crazy, and sometimes caused problems.  It's been present in all builds of AME... It's the scroll wheel action while scrolling settings. If I'm scrolling through the video settings, and the mouse happens to pass over one of the dropdown lists, the dropdown list starts scrolling, and if I'm not looking, I've set something where it shouldn't be. If scrolling the settings, the dropdown lists shouldn't respond unless clicked on, then the scroll wheel could reveal the list. Thanks! System info    Application: Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) v25.1.0.50    OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 63.83 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

When running ME in darkest mode, it's nearly impossible to see if you have an item in the queue selected as shown in the screenshots. This also does not mirror the color of a selected item in PP as shown in the screenshot. When you shift to dark mode, the selected color is confusing to me since it just blends in with the rest of the iterface. 

Steps to reproduce:  Add item to Media Encoder queue.  Sign into Vimeo from within Media Encoder (and enter title, etc.).  Encode queue item and wait for upload.  Add a new item to Media Encoder queue.  Sign out of Vimeo from within Media Encoder.  Sign into a new/different Vimeo account from within Media Encoder (and add title, etc.).  Encode queue item and wait for upload. Result: Both items were completed but uploaded to the same Vimeo account - the first one that was signed into. The second queue item showed the correct Vimeo account information for the second Vimeo account signed into, but uploaded to the first account.Expected: Both items should be completed, but the first one should be uploaded to the first account and the second item to the second account. System info    Application: Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) v24.3.0.39    OS: Windows v10.0.22621, RAM: 31.88 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 8

newest beta AND updated 24.3 can't normally export.only 24.2  still working properly.

This is really a question about best practices to improve AME Beta opening after an update. Current specs below. The most recent context is testing a PR export with caption sidecar problem: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-bugs/pp-beta-hangs-when-exporting-mp4/idc-p/14569420#M2574   For many versions, AME Beta fails to open when queued from PR Beta. And if I open it first with a preferences reset, that may or may not work.   Today I updated PR Beta to 24.5.0.16 and AME Beta to 24.5.0.14. Throwing caution to the winds, I queued from PR without starting AME separately. No splash screen; I did see AME Beta running under PR in task manager but not in its own process.   Restarted PC. Opened AME Beta with Shift modifier; no splash screen.   Restarted PC. Opened AME Beta with Shift modifier; got the splash screen and preferences reset. Reset all. Opened.   Left it open. Started PR Beta. Queued successfully.   I posted several times in th
