Z key only zooms in on graph editorhow to zoom out with keyboard shortcut

Hi, I need some guidance from seniors here. If my AE comp height 1080, That means my Y axis limit is from 0 t0 1080. Right? that means My Sin wave's crest/peek will touch only two borders/egdes up and down where in Y axis down is 0 pixel and up is 1080. Then why the sin wave crossing the top/up edge here?? I already told the AE that value is 1080 in expression. then why its not listeing to the expression? When I specify the value in 'Expression' , the property that is linked to the expression must listen to that right? Please help me. Square's Y position must stay between 0 and 1080, I mean it must only oscillate in between 0 and 1080, nowhere I said go beyong that. then why its going?   

This is a weird one.We have a couple of projects that are in ACES, we're using Prores stock footage.Around 20-28th August something happened and all our projects just changed the Prores Mov files color space in OCIO from sRGB Color Picker (that we assigned) back to default Aces2065-1.It gets weirder.We're talking about a project on 20th that I worked on, saved (I always save before rendering), then rendered out.Now I open the project a week later and it's all wrong.The rendered files from that project rendered fine on the 20th - now the same project - that has NOT been saved after those renders - is wrong. All Prores MOV files are changed to ACES2065-1.ONLY Prores mov files changed - we have some Photo JPEG Mov files that kept their sRGB interpretations.It is bizarre - correctly saved projects changed their content.I thought that maybe the act of opening the project file does the mess, but if I open the same project file but from 18th August - all the Prores interpretations are still s

Hello Designers,I have a small problem opening a new workspace for an L-shaped screen. The details sent by the company only provide a workspace of 2236 x 516 pixels. The shape appears uneven, so I need to create a design with a vertical part and a horizontal part. Can someone help me visualize this scene?Thank you.

A client gave me a 4K PSD to animate, however, the designs are all assembled as Layer Comps. I've never used PS Layer Comps, but PS won't export a single Layer Comp as an individual PSD without an error message due to the 2GB date limit. Is there a workflow for exporting PS Layer Comp layers to After Effects? Or to an Artboard? Thanks

Hey everyone,I just downloaded the Adobe CC and I'm trying to compose a simple 10 second GIF with motion text in After Effects (latest version), but find it painfully hard to work with keyframes since the playhead is always a second behind my cursor when I try to move it. Hi, I am following one tutorial. In that tutorial, the tutor' s sin wave is not matching mine. His Sin wave started from 0.0, Mine from 1. Though I did exactly like he did. I need guidance. Please help me to understand where am wrong.

I'm trying to change the fill color of a text layer to a light blue. Using the RGB number from an Ai file, I go to change the text layer in AE...but it isn't even close. In fact AE says that that number is full black. Using the HEX number will get the blue color right, but it'll say that the RGB values are in the tens of thousands. Is this a bug? After Effects Stop Responding on File Importing.  I am on the latest updated version.Whenever I drag and drop a file into after effects it freezes however if I go right click>import>file and import the same file that way it import the file instantly.Just drag and drop freezes. How can I correct this issue.This happens on any type of file, even images, jpg, png, doesnt matter if I drag and drop it after effects freezes. Good evening Community,  I created an Earth with VC Orb. To make clouds more "realistic" and to get total controll of the cloud-behavior, I created some Clouds by using VC Orb with Turbulent Noise and Turbulent Displace.  Optically I have to tewak here and there, but there's a huge problem with the cloud layer itself. While I use 3 static versions of clouds that I simply link to the earth rotation, I have a rotation issue with the Turbulent Noise Layer. When I rotate it by X-Position in VC Orb, there's an ugly scar at 180°, because there is no seamless border to the left and the right.  So my Idea was: I link the Earths X-Rotation to the Turbulent Displaces displacement value. But how? I understand, that I have to convert the angles degrees to position values. But how can I do that? I want the Turbulent Noise Clouds to move exact in the speed of the earth rotation. As I would simply link the X-position of the cloud to the X-position of the earth model

Hola! Simpre he arrastrado composiciones de after en premiere sin problemas, siemplemente arrastrando las composiciones o el bin con las composiciones al proyecto de Premiere sin problemas. Estoy trabajando con un proyecto de after effects que ya no me permite hacer eso, simplemente no aparecen (ni una sola) pero tampoco me dice ningun tipo de error. Simplemente no lo hace. (tampoco funciona el importar usando dynamic link importar composiciones de after effects. tira error.)Se que es el proyecto de after Effects porque lo he probado con varios proyectos de premiere y no funciona y también he importado composiciones desde otros proyectos de after y puedo importar arrastando varias composiciones sin problemas.- Alguien sabe que puede ser lo que ocasiona esta fallo ?

Hej Guys :), i want to know if there is a way to implement photoshop layer comps in AE ?i couldn't find anything about it. It would be cool, if there is a script or mechanic to use the ps layer comp feature in AE. 🙂 Hopefully someone can help me. Cheers and thx !!

I'm getting some strange glitches in my plugin I'm developing when using MFR. This effect calls for many random numbers every frame to generate boxes and place them in random positions. It's a relatively simple plugin so there's not much more to it than that. However, when caching for a preview, some frames have the boxes in the same position as the previous frame. If I disable MFR from Settings - > Preferences -> Memory & Performance it goes away and every frame has correct random box positions. So that's how I'm assuming it has to do with MFR. I'm not using any out of the box functions just your bases srand() for see initialization and rand() for generating a new number. I even tried a thread-safe random generator but the issue persists: int intRand(const int & min, const int & max) { static thread_local std::mt19937 generator; std::uniform_int_distribution<int> distribution(min,max); return distribution(generator); } 

Hi There, When undoing a recently applied effects preset, AE also closes the Effects Panel folder structure. This makes testing presets incredibly tedious. Is there a way to stop undo from also closing Effects Panel folders? Or is there another way to test presets that allows you to quickly remove and apply them? Any help much appreciated. Cheers, Ben - MacOS 13.6.7- AE 24.6.0 (Build 69)

Help please! Know how to rotate a 3d object with camera, but unsure how to rotate camera around object? Trying to use camera to do a 360 orbit around stationary 3d car, but failing! Im obviously missing something as should be straightforward?

Just upgraded to AE 2022 and its not linked to AME. The whole thing is messed up, tried so many things. Anyone found a way around this?

Adobe After Effects 2022 is stuck on Initializing Required Components. It's worked fine for months now. Then randomly last night, I quit out of AE. Attempted to re-open it and it was stuck on the splash screen: "Initializing Required Components."  I tried to google the solution but didn't find what I wanted. Someone suggested it had to do with a lot of fonts being installed. And I had installed a weird arrow font that day, So I deleted a bunch of fonts. Restarted my Apple computer. The issue persisted. I took the media core folder and dragged it to the desktop. Tried to go back into AE and the issue was still there. I got live support to remote into my computer. They put ".old" text at the end of some folders that had to do with settings, they did some other stuff like force quit out of coresync in the activity monitor. and i was back in! So I dragged the media core folder back to where it belonged and the issue came back instantly! I removed the media core folder. that didnt work

Hey,So for some reason, when I try to use a specific style of a Font family (in this case, Fakt Pro is the font family, I specifically use Fakt pro Semibold), After Effects won't list all the options.Fakt Pro shows up as a font option, but I can only choose "Normal" as an option, not Bold, Thin, Semibold, etc.But I don't have this problem with Premiere and Photoshop. In Premiere and photoshop, I can choose all the styles just fine.This is really messing me up, as it has to be Semibold, and if I have to make the text in photoshop first, that severely limits the range of animations I can do. I don't understand why AE can read the font but only SOME of it, while its two sister programs can read them all just fine.

I have tried to access two projects from a year ago, both of which are using geolayers 3, and there are multiple layers that are not visible when I open the project. I didn't know if it was a version issue problem or what?  All layers with the issue exist above the mapcomp in the Composition.  If I reset the transform settings, I can see them in some capacity, but I need them to be exactly how they were a year ago. It was possible the preferences were changed in GEOlayers 3 since then, or we are using a different Map Tiler?  I don't see why these things might make the transform settings not exist in a certain space. Any help would be much appreciated!  Thank you!!

Has anyone found a HDR Limiter Plugin for Adobe After Effects that works? I am often required to suppy UHD HDR content in Rec.2020 color space (ST2084 gamma), but that is limited to P3 gamut. There are times when image anaysis tools like MTI Film Cortex or Colorfront Transkoder report that the maximum gamut level has been exceeded with a HDR gamut target of P3 on renders that come straight ot of After Effects. Currently, I have to import all these AE renders in to Davinci Resolve and use their "Gamut Limiter" color FX. This takes time and disk space.FF Pictures have been promising something for ages, but it still doesn't work on recent releases of AE. https://ff.de/hdr_limiter_plugin/Any help with this workflow would be sincerely appreciated.  

Hello everybody, an issue has arised In my After Effects 2022 right now. For some reason none of the controls for any effects or plugins is appearing; it's just shown as blank. I've restarted my computer, quit after effects, and try to make a new project but none of it is working. Does anybody know how to fix this?   

 Suddenly, this week, my After Effects became super slow. I checked the project files, and they seem fine on other computers. I noticed that aerendercore is using 120-200% of my CPU. This issue started out of nowhere, and it's urgent because I use AE for work. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?
