Working on an animation project and I ran into an issue with a piece of text where the percentage was supposed to be listed. The text read “...greater than or equal to %25 of...” and I flagged it as a typo. However, when I tried to fix it, no matter what I did or where I copied the text from, my “25%” formatted to “%25”. Was working in v26, but the issue carried over when I downgraded to v25 as well.Haven’t had this issue with any other project. I just tested it in another recent project (also v25) and was able to type the percentages okay, so not sure if this is project specific, v26 specific, or user/formatting error. Saw another couple posts on the Photoshop forums with the same issue, but no real fix.Two things I noticed/did to resolve the issue.For some reason, Hindi digits was checked. Hi There,I'm doing a School of Motion tutorial, and am a little confused on a very basic function.When I hold cmd, the anchor point of a shape layer does not snap to either the center or corners etc. When I hold cmd on other layers, like a vector shape or comp, the anchor point snaps.Would you have any idea why this isn't working for shape layers? I've tried toggling the snapping box on the toolbar, and that doesn't seem to change the functionality.Thanks!

Hi,I have been going crazy looking for a solution to how to solve the 'blank frame' glitch when creating a looping composition using the loopOut() expression.I tried the current/previous solutions which involved adding a keyframe on the penultimate frame or manually setting the final keyframe value -1 frame. These worked, but I was still getting a visible animation glitch happening.My final solution, for a perfect loop with zero visible glitches or blank frames, was to open the pre-comp layer (the original composition that you're trying to loop) and for every layer that reaches the final frame, drag it beyond the end. These layers may appear to run to the very end of the comp and appear as though they reach the final frame, but manually dragging the end of the layer 'off' to the right of the comp was what was needed for that final 'missing' frame to show in the precomp loop.So, starting with a Time Wrapping comp that is showing a blank frame:1. Hi everyone,I’m having a serious performance issue with After Effects 2020 and would appreciate any advice.When I open After Effects and load certain templates, the preview becomes extremely slow—sometimes dropping below 1 FPS. At the same time, RAM usage suddenly increases until it exceeds my 32 GB of memory, and eventually Windows becomes unresponsive or crashes.My PC specifications include: NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super 8 GB 32 GB RAM Windows I’ve already tried both upgrading and downgrading After Effects to different versions, and also templates(from light to heavy) but the same issue continues.Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Hello, I have an active Adobe Creative Cloud license. I need to install After Effects 24.6.4 because several existing projects and plugins are validated on this version. However, Creative Cloud only shows version 25.x and 26.x under "Other Versions". Is there any official way to obtain After Effects 24.6.4, such as:- Adobe Support access- Direct installer- Admin Console package- Any special entitlement Thank you for your help.

While testing 3D shadows using two solid layers in After Effects' Advanced 3D Renderer, I encountered an unusual rendering issue:When the two solid layers are close to each other, intersecting, or even perfectly overlapping in 3D space, a noticeable white edge/white line appears along the edges of the shadow cast by one of the solid layers.The issue can occur under the following conditions:The two solid layers have a certain amount of spatial distance between them; The two solid layers intersect each other in 3D space; The two solid layers are completely or almost completely overlapping; With the Advanced 3D Renderer enabled, and lighting and shadows turned on, an abnormal white edge can be observed around the boundary of the shadow.In particular, the white edge still appears when the two solid layers are completely overlapping or geometrically intersecting. Therefore, this does not appear to be caused simply by the distance between the layers or by normal layer occlusion. 

Adobe After Effects wont launch and throws up the AGM font error from version 26.0 onwards.A possible explanantion that can be drawn from this:Company has updated it’s security measure, which causes this conflict with the AGM font.To compensate I have been using v25.1, which has also suddenly stopped working. I recently updated my after effects and adobe media encoder to 2025. Now everytime i try to render a video through media encoder it says "Adobe Media Encoder 2025" is damaged and can't be opened.You should move it to the Trash.This file was downloaded on an unknown date.I'm on a m1 macbook pro and use these programs regularly for work. I tried to install the previous version of media encoder and get the same issue. I don't understad what could be causing this issue. and am struggling to find other people experiencing this online.

after effect used to re link all the missing files as a batch - now i have a new macbook pro and it relink only one file each time and not automatically, do you have a solution for that bug?

I’m a Video Editor who edits for fun, specifically using After Effects 2020. I edit on an HP laptop, with an AMD RYZEN processor. Whenever I make video edits, when I zoom out into a black background/no background (specifically while editing pictures), I see some weird lines that sort of act as motion tile near my footage. This only happens if I am editing in a way where I am using no motion tile or reflect in my transitions.I have tried multiple effects and methods, as well as different settings to try to help but nothing helps.I’ve tried adding a black solid layer in the background, adding slight motion tile, etc. I am wondering if the cause for this is the After Effects settings/version itself, or my Laptop (settings/model). I have had other versions of After Effects, and I have had 2020 before on a different laptop but never faced this issue. I will include photos as an example:

After effects crashes moments after every time

I'm trying to follow the 'Top 10 Skills Editors Want to Master in After Effects' course, but the download for the project files don't work. I've tried to download them many times and in many different ways, but the download keeps getting corrupted. Only I read that multiple people have this problem.Does anyone have a different link for the project files or can the download please be updated?

For whatever reason, whenever I launch After Effects now, the app freezes when scanning folders and immediately crashes. No error message shows up.I tried basically everything.Starting in safe mode, disabling third party plug-ins (didn't have any to begin with), resetting preferences.Uninstalling, re-installing, manually deleting all files relating to After Effects and then installing it again.It always crashes at the splash screen when it's scanning folders. The folder it crashes at changed every time.I went into Windows settings and gave high-performance to After Effects but that didn't work either.It was literally working fine less than 4 days ago and I finished a project on it. Now it does this and I'm truly stumped on how to fix it.

I have two text layers, these were made in different comps. Both have the exact same properties and font, yet one has a thicker weight compared to the other. I’ve copied one text layer over into another comp to compare the two. There are no effects, strokes, or text animators applied to the text layers. 

Hey everyone,I've been using After Effects for years without issues, but lately, whenever I add a 3D camera layer to a comp, the preview just freezes solid. I have a 3D button enabled on all the layers. I have two viewports open too – one with an active camera, another with a custom 3-view camera. It throws this annoying "using processor graphics" error even though I've got a beastly RTX 5080. Sometimes it shows this message and sometimes it doesn't—just stuck the preview. This wasn't happening before—everything was smooth. After Effects keeps telling me it's using your processor graphics after I disable it on the Device Manager—there is no effect to it. It still gets stuck and won't preview at all. Super frustrating for my motion graphics work!How to Reproduce (Easy to Test) Open any project or new comp. Layer > New > Camera (make it 3D).
