Thanks for adding the ability to add 1:1 shapes while holding shift.Unfortunately the behaviour seems to be more buggy in the latest beta.  After opening a new, empty comp, double clicking the rectangle tool (without holding shift) creates a shape layer with a rectangle. If I Ctrl+Z Immediately afterwards and try to create another one, the functionality breaks and no shape layer is being added.Highlighting another panel (like the viewer or the timeline) then trying again fixes the issue.This happens to me on a PC. Thank you.  

I'm trying to follow a tutorial from linkedin learning for drawing a circle in After Effects. I am on M1 mac running the 2022 intel version for this software. How in the world do a draw a cirle? In the tutorial they show a button in the composition window after using the ellipse tool to select "Toggle Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction" to change the ellipse to a perfect circle. Help? I don't see that icon and can't find it in any menus offhand.

Hello, I'm using Macbook Pro with M1Pro chip and both rendering and playback is very very slow. Just previewing a simple png image sequence in Quarter resolution with no effects on it is choppy and plays it in like 5 fps. Why is that happening? I used an older 2014 mac and it was working much better. 

After version 22.3MacOs M1, Monterey 12.2Sur la dernière version Beta installée, ni le menu contextuel ni le menu "Animation" ne donne l'accès aux lissages de vitesse sur les images clés. Impossible d'appliquer les lissages de vitesses classiques, sauf à l'aide des courbes. C'est vraiment pénalisant pour un usage avancé du logiciel.C'est sans doute un problème d'affichage des fenêtres dans Monterey.

We'd like to get your feedback about changes made in After Effects that affect the default 3D view settings of new comps: When you create a new comp, the Composition panel will now default to a single 3D view (the active camera) with Draft 3D disabled, and the 3D view layouts have been updated.   Please let us know how this works for you. Is this how you expect a new comp to behave?   The reason for these changes is related to the improvements to the Composition panel toolbar made in After Effects 18.0. The toolbar has been de-cluttered so that it is easier to find and use the controls. This includes only showing the 3D controls when there are 3D layers in the comp.   Many of you let us know about a problem with this. If you have changed your 3D view settings, when you create a new comp it will inherit the 3D view settings of the previous comp, but since there are no 3D layers in a brand new comp the controls aren't visible and you can't change any of the settings

I'd like to introduce you to a minor but hopefully helpful UI change in the latest release of After Effects Beta (build 22.2.0x55), a re-vamped Exposure control at the bottom of the Composition, Layer, and Footage viewer panels. A quick summary of what's changed:The old Exposure control was two different controls: a button to turn exposure previews on and off, and a numerical control for the exposure value.The new Exposure control is a single button to turn exposure previews on and off. To change the exposure value, click and hold on the button to bring up a menu with the value controls.Note that if the value is 0.0 when you turn on Exposure, the menu will automatically appear. This lets you know that turning on Exposure won't have any effect until you change the value. Just wanted to thank the team for their amazing work on AFX these days, I'm using the latest Beta on my M1max 14" macbook Pro with just 32gb Ram and it starts to blow my 12000 € Mac Pro with 16 cores and 192gb ram out of the water... it's kinda crazy! It also already runs pretty rock solid. Keep up the good work! I saw render times nearly cut in half in some cases. 

I got a new MBP 16 inch M1 Pro laptop with 16GB and first project is glitching.  I import Quicktime exported footage (Screen capture) and the video glitches terribly (pixelation etc).  I actually can't use it.  I downloaded the Beta version hoping that would fix it but still doesn't work.  Any ideas?  Note I've checked the original and it is fine. 

Can We make it so you Can Freeze Frame a Rotobrushed Layer? that would be super helpful. also a feature like Refine All Edges Automatically, based on the original Green RotoBrush Done.   A Feature where you could do an Automatic Edge Refine Brush around all of the Roto Brush Outlined would be Amazing. instead of having to pause anytime theirs a new Area I need to draw my Refine Edge Brush in a different Area it could be a feature where it automatically finds all edges to do this to. if selected a button like "Automatic Refine Edger, or Refine All Edges" Up to you guys. Hi all, I'm having this weird issue on my Macbook pro M1 Max, since this week my after effects is not loading any script from aescript. It worked perfectly a week ago, but now everytime I tried to load one AE keeps thinking forever. I tried to solve, removing preferences, reinstalling after effects, the scripts, but without no luck any idea how to solve this issue?thanks in advance,

I seem to be having an issue with enabling Draft 3D on the beta. It works fine on the public release but I can't get it to work on the beta. I have the setting enabled per the image attached to enable it but I'm at a lost for what to do. Specs:Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7iMac 2013 27 inch, 32 GB RAM

When multi-frame rendering is performed, stop in the middle at the m1 max chip.Also, GPU usage is too low.My GPU is 36 cores.But it's less than 20%.I randomized the 4K 60fps video.

I use multiple screens, but this also happened on a single screen setup. When I pass my Logitech M705 wireless mouse over the composition panel when moving from one panel to another, automatically zooms in to the highest number if I move to the left and zooms out to the smallest percentage if I'm moving right. I am not touching the scrolling wheel or buttons -- I've been very cognizant of the possibility of a spurious mouse command. If I pass the mouse below or above the composition panel, it does not zoom, only if the mouse pointer moves across the panel.

Steps to reproduce:    1. Trying to use a script that uses 'write to network feature' in preferecnes. 2. Preview and export impossible with the multi frame rendering enabled.System info :    Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.2.0.25    OS: macOS v12.0.1, RAM: 32,00 Go GB, CPUs (logical): 10     MacBook Pro 2021 w/ M1 MAX

When split sequence is cut and later prtion is shifted time-wise, the later portion restores the cut area. I could not remove the cut area at all. It did not happen without Lumentri effect I presume.I am no sure if this problem is specific to the beta version. (No time to duplicate the problematic issue.)

All builds up until this point have been very usable but this morning after the latest update my AE is crashing constantly when scrubbing through an existing project. The same project caused no issues yesterday.

I updated the AE Beta to try out the new viewport option and in the process noticed that I no longer have the ability to enable Draft 3D. The button is greyed out and I'm not sure why it's doing that. System specs2013 iMacMac OS Catalina 10.15.7
