I'm extremely frustrated that despite extensive online research, including Google, YouTube, and the Adobe community forums, I've been unable to resolve this issue. While editing hundreds of photos in Adobe Bridge, I've noticed that as soon as I apply a rating star (1, 2, 3, etc.) to an image, it inexplicably moves to the very bottom of the non-rated photos. This forces me to constantly search to find where I left off and locate the image I had previously selected and rated.  

Yesterday I discovered that the Keywords list in Bridge 16.0 (2026) was totally empty! Before that I assigned keywords on November 6th latest (probably even on November 9th). I checked the XML file in users\..appdata\roaming etc, but the file size was just 1KB and it had no keywords in it. When checking the 2025 and 2024 XML files, I saw they too were empty. How can I recover the keywords I used until November 6th or November 9th? I updated Bridge from 2025 to 2026 about a week ago.   

I do not wish to have Bridge continue making these files and am curious about how to disable them? I am the only one who uses Bridge in a pipeline and do not want to manually delete the file after every project

Seriously, I need help! I cannot remember well but I tried to do arrangements where my downloads go to (it is stupid that I cannot choose where I import files using Airdrop). As a result, I have a Downloads folder which appears and works fine at the Finder level. However, Adobe Bridge 18.0 is not able to show that folder: In Bridge, there is a strange icon as if there were a file icon above a folder icon! Even though its name is Downloads and it contains files normally in Finder, Bridge doesn't show any files in that "hybrid icon" folder. Eventually, I deleted Bridge by the CleanMyMac app and downloaded and installed a new one. Before, I booted my MBP M2. No avail! The strange icon is still there in Bridge and its corresponding one is nicely in Finder, without any strange icons! What can I do to get Bridge working as supposed??? Tahoe 26.1, MBP M2, 32MB, 1TB.

Bridge keeps crashing when I click on Downloads in the Favorites window (it does briefly begin populating the files from the Downloads folder). I can right click on Downloads and Reveal Folder works fine, opens the Download folder window and can see/open my files. To see if other folders worked, I clicked on Documents in the Favorites window, opens fine, and I can open my files from here and does not crash. I thought maybe I needed to reconnect the Downloads in Favorites, so I Removed the Downloads folder from the Favorites window, then went to the Folders tab > Computer > Macintosh HD > Users > MeTheUser > Downloads > Add to Favorites. Went back to Favorites > Downloads and it still shuts down.I also opened the Downloads folder from the Folders tab, going the path in the previous paragraph - still, briefly populates Bridge with images, then Bridge crashes. And lastly, I added a folder that's inside the Downloads folder as a Favorite. Hi, When I try to renamle and move some XQD memory cards (240GB) to an SSD things get very slow (since a couple of versions of Bridge). Performance of the card reader and disc is fine outside Bridge. Tried every solution (clear caches regularly, do not generate yhumbnails for files greater than 1 mb,... ).  It take for ages before the dialog box pops up for calculating the time and when he finally has calculated the time, it take another age for the warning "are you sure you want to move the read only file". Once it starts the batch rename/move proced performace is acceptable. It has to do with the tasks before. Any suggestions ? I am not interested in the thumbnails, I just want to move the files to an SSD from memory card and do the processing in lightroom. Lightroom is suitable for renaming the files how I want...  

When using photo downloader, all the images are not showing up. I need to "refresh list" in order for the correct number of files on the card to be downloaded. I recently updated Bridge, and now files no longer open in photosop with a double click.  I have to right click and use "open with".  All my file assosictions are  set correctly and photoshop is set as default to open files, so that is not the issue.   Bridge 2025 Version: 15.0.0.397 Mac OS: Sonoma 14.7 How do I fix this?    

Hi there! I have a ton of files in a folder that I would like to add on the prefix "Machine_".   For example: Old: 482_PartyBus New: "Machine_482_PartyBus"   I don't see a way of doing it in Bridge. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I am seeing a little stop sign to the side of some images' labels . I would like to know what it is and how to remove it. I believe that it is preventing me from exporting the image to Lightroom for further editing. Thanks.

Hi,I wonder if anyone can help me. I want to know if you can view the metadata list in a logical order when you are trying to add metadata when using the Get Photos From Camera. My first photo attached shows my metadata in a logical order when you go through the Edit Metadata Template. But when I try and apply metadata through the Get Photos From Camera "Template to use" (my second photo attached), it loses it's logical order, then I have to scroll through to find the metadata template I want to use. Any way around this? Just trying to make my workflow more efficient. Thank you.Best regards Paul

How can I display the filename and extender in the grid view of Adobe Bridge 2025, as shown in the CS6 example?

Im tired of dealing with this recurring bug! I've wasted hours resetting file and folder permissions, reinstalling bridge, photoshop camera raw. Changing keyboard shortcuts. Resetting preferences and purging caches. PSD v RAW FILESI can change the label of PSD files but not raw files within Bridge. CAMERA RAW v BRIDGEI can change the label of raw files within Camera Raw which then update in Bridge, but not within Bridge itself.

Hello there - I am new to the forum and have been using photoshop now for a long time. Recently I have been having issues with sorting my images in bridge and I can't seem to figure it out. I am downloading from 3 cameras - 2 of mine and 1 assistant. I can't seem to get bridge to sort them in the correct order - or to date created. There are times on the images in the file info but no matter how I sort them is doesn't seem to do it correctly. This is making my editing job so much harder. I do a time stamp before I shoot - but it doesn't seem to matter any more - I have to go back and manually sort them which is a huge pain!! What am I missing? Thanks so much! Kathy

At some point, I must have changed settings; I know when, but not what.In Adobe Bridge, prior to a certain date, videos taken with my Air Mavic 2s showed thumbnails / previews fine.  After that date, it just shows the .mp4 icon.Any ideas?Thanks,Mike

Hallo, wenn ich in Adobe Bridge 2024 unter Windows 10 ein Bild lösche, ist es in der Übersicht verschwunden. Nach F5 ist es wieder da. Lösche ich ein Bild auf der Festplatte, ist es in Adobe Bridge 2024 auch nach F5 nicht mehr vorhanden. In den Einstellungen von Adobe Bridge 2024 habe ich keinen Eintrag gefunden, der sich mit dem Löschen beschäftigt. Wenn Du ein Anwender von Adobe Bridge 2024 bist, hast Du vielleicht einen Tip für mich, wie ich dieses Problem abstellen kann. Gruß Hein

Hello, Having a panic. I favourited a bunch of photos using the star rating in camera raw, then in Bridge, I selected create new folder with selected images and the folder never appeared and these photos have GONE. I checked the recycling bin, I checked the original folder and I'm just so confused - does anyone know where they could've gone??  Thank you! 

I've just experienced this. After editing in Camera Raw, The thumbnails in Bridge do not update. When I go to Bridge Photoshop>> Image Processor, the CR3 files output a .jpg but the edits are not showing, just a jpg of an image that needs editing. Specifically, if I were to de-noise, and open from the thumbnail into photoshop, the Camera Raw image will show the updates, but when I close Camera Raw, the thumbnail in Bridge doesn't change. Outputting a .jpg still shows all the noise. Perhaps this is a setting, as it's a new computer because I lost my hard drive and this is a new install on the new Drive. Windows 11 Home. Also, on my Updates, I used to have Photoshop Beta, but that's not available now. I need to process these images, but to do so from Bridge is not working. Any help is appreciated. 

Is there a way to display the image metadata, esp the file name in full screen mode?This is possible in Slideshow mode, but there  I can't see an equivalent setting in full screen mode. SBB

I don’t know how Bridge works with files, but I have a strange problem. On one of the computers, I keep getting corrupted PSD files — but only on this one. Let me explain: we have pre-processed PSD files on a NAS server and download them to workstation computers for processing. However, on one of the computers, the files get randomly corrupted. I don’t know if it matters, but only this computer has an Intel Arc 750 GPU; the others use Nvidia GPUs. Please see the screenshot.

I have been trying to export a MOV drone file as a JPEG sequence, it always comes in with odd numbers. ... in this case, 90000, so I tried batch rename, and the order came in wrong, so that the footage was jerky (it wasn't in the original form. Chat GPT has been hopeless and leading me on a wild goose chase, so I'm asking humans :).  Any ideas?
