File size and resolution restrictions should not be that complicate of a question to answer... I am working in Captivate 2019 on VR projects and I am not a newbie to VR or Captivate but VR inside of Captivate has been perplexing to say the least. There is little to no information out there on how to use it or create content.I am deploying for mobile and desktop for my newest project and so far video inside of the VR workspace has been not very easy to work with or figure out why some videos work and other do not (just black screen for duration of timeline?) Is there a maximum resolution the video size can be (under 4K, 1920, etc...?) Thanks and any help with this would be huge for those working in VR with video.

Hello,I've created a drag and drop interaction, and after submitting, the feedback appears as expected, but then disappears about 2 seconds later. I can't find any way to edit this, or any type of explanation for why this is happening. Can anyone help?

Hello folks, I have a query from a proposal that was brought up in a recent client brief. They have asked that at the beginning of the module, the user be prompted to input some reasons for taking the e-learning course, (text field or similar for instance) and that those reasons be presented back to them at the end of the course, with the question of whether their personal learning objectives have been met.I'm not aware if Captivate has this type of functionality, would anyone have a suitable solution?

Using 2019 versionI am experiencing issues with creating and updating advanced actions, This is a problem I have never encountered and I believe it may be a bug, When trying to create or update an advance action when update action is clicked the response box saying your script has been updated is appearing as usual, however, for the last hour each time I have made changes to an action after the update confirmation has been made I am getting a further save changes prompt if i save it says that the action name is already in use????, if i click don't save when I open the updated version all the script has been cleared. I have tried all the work around and fixes I can think of. This is really frustrating has anyone else experienced this. I am experienced with scripting an this is baffling me. Have deleted all the similar actions and created new ones but the problem persists.

I have a responsive project and want to align objects to the middle of other objects that are located below them. I can use smart positioning to align objects from the eft or right of the object below but how to align them from the middle of the object to a border of the object below?Perhaps I miss something simple?I am in Captivate 2019 and use breakpoints in the project.

In Captivate 2019, when selecting the "Fade In and Out" options under Transition, the video will fade in for the number of seconds specified, as long as Auto Play is selected.  But the video will not fade out at the end.  This persists even the Fade Out Only option is selected,

I'm building a template based on my company's color and branding, which is primarily royal blue.Most of the elements are working fine, but I'm hitting one sticking point.Since the background of the slide is royal blue, I'm using white for the text. When I'm creating a quiz question, though, I run int a problem. In the MCQ,T/F,FIB,Sequence question type, I've set the font color for multiple-choice questions to white. This works as intended. However, when I test a fill in the blank or a short answer question. the text entered into the (white) text area is so light as to be unreadable.If I go into the master and try to change the color for the fill in the blank answer style, it then reverts the style in the multiple choice/true-false answers.I'd like to accomplish the following:Answers in multiple choice/t-f questions in white textText entered into the text boxes in FITB or short answers to be in a dark text, -OR- being able to change the color of the text boxes.Is this doable?

The website, user info, forums, etc... all say Captivate 2019 works best with the Samsung Gear VR to view content but nowhere does it actually say how to do this?? I have tried publish to VR Device, QR code scanner, custom project settings, uploaded to web server to get url, etc... and nothing allows it to open from my Gear VR. I can view it on my desktop, laptop, or Samsung S8 all day long in "mock" VR with just a flat 360 move the phone or mouse around but nothing has allowed me to connect it to my Gear VR and view inside the actual device. How do you do this?? Once you publish the VR content there is a launch to VR viewer but in the settings tab it notes Cardboard viewers (which is not a daydream or gear VR?) It also says "Insert into your cardboard viewer" again not the right device. This is tech that can change the game and using a program I am already familiar with for creating content would be a huge asset but only if it works. PLEASE HELP community!!

Hello,I am very much a beginner to Captivate so I apologise if this is a basic question.I have to a few edits to a piece of work that has already been made.The main audio is playing, but i want it to pause when i hover over a shape, and different audio attatched to that shape to start playing,then for the main audio to resume when you hover off.I have multiple shapes that need to be hovered over and have the same function.I'm sure someone can help me!Thanks

I've created a project in Captivate 2019 by importing PowerPoint slides that already included animation in them.  When I preview the project in Captivate, everything works just fine, but after I publish the project, the slide animation never plays - it's like it's been paused from the start. I've checked all my interactive objects (I use click boxes) and even published a version where I unchecked all pauses, it still didn't fix the issue.Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and is there a setting I might be missing that's causing this?Thank you,Marina Z.

I am i a project where I want to create a hotspot so the user can click on (a part of) an image and than the magic will happen (e.g. go to the next slide). When I use a smartshape for this (promoted to "act like a button") I use an image fill in the smartshape and show a part of the slide with that image. To make it stand out on the slide everything else is faded and the user knows where to click. Now this works fine as long as I do not scale de slide. Since it is a responsive project this needs to work with all kinds of sizes of the canvas. For clear reasons we use breakpoints in the project and every time I scale the slide, the image in the smartshape is moving away from the image below it! When I just use an image, the scaling works perfect and it all stays in the same place. But the image itself cannot trigger an action....? How can I use a part of an image like a hotspot without scaling-issues where a user clicks on and triggers an action while the project is responsive with the b

I repeatedly have issues getting my projects to work in MS Edge browser. I develop responsive (no fluid box), accessible projects and publish in HTML 5. I have nothing fancy in them (they are straight-forward "click next" projects) and they aren't, for the most part, image heavy. They work well in IE and in Firefox (I cannot test in Chrome). Can anyone offer any guidance, please?

I am trying to create a quiz that allows users to enter data on a sample form.  I have tried using Fill in the Blank and Short Answer quiz slides, tried modifying the quiz master slides, and am having no luck.  A screenshot of the sample form is below.  I want users to be able to enter the dependent names and relationships, and then the total number of dependents, based on a scenario they are provided.  There would be individual textboxes/fill in fields for each area (max 2 under each column and then 1 for number of dependents).  Is this something that is even possible in Captivate?  I am using Captivate 2019.  Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to investigate this issue as it's going into territory that I am not familiar with!  I am not very knowledgeable about how it all works in the background between the browser and the LMS. I have published an eLearning developed in Captivate 9 and published in SCOM2004 which uses some custom scoring.  There are assessment sections that use a variable called 'score' that increments by 1 if they click in the correct place.  At the end of the section 'On Slide Exit', an advanced action runs to ascertain if the score if above a certain number and then either jumps to a pass or fail slide.The issue am having is that for some users it works perfectly and for some users they keep getting the fail even if all clicks are correct, so either the score variable is not incrementing or the advanced action is not running / failing to jump them to the right slide.The LMS provider of course keeps saying it's an issue with our

I am new to Captivate. I want to create a demonstration video of a tool on our website. I have a script that I will read as a narration. No webcam needed, as I only want to follow the mouse as I move through the tool, describing what one sees and what is happening. I opened up our web site to the page I want to start recording from, but it started to record from my email. I also couldn't uncheck the no narration option, but I didn't have the microphone attached. This should be very basic, but I need to specify what screen(s) I want to record from, and turn on the narration. If I need to do more, I'll appreciate any help I can get. Thank you very much.

I recently upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and reinstalled Captivate 9. Now when I open Captivate all of my screens are cut off and I can't see all of the options available on the screen.Is this an issue with Captivate 9 / Windows 10 compatibility or is it a setting in Captivate?Appreciate any insight you are able to provide.

I just got another rejection letter for a job I really believed I was pretty much cut out for. Maybe being a 58 years old is just too old to be in the field as a designer for Adobe Products.Maybe I should call it quits.
