Captivate 2019 version 11.5.1.499Updates controlled by corporate admins(running Windows 11 w/ 11th gen Intel i7-1185G7 @3.00 GHz/1.8 GHz and 16 GB RAM [15.7 GB usable]  I have a template that I am using to create several modules for (deadline in two weeks). This morning,I initally opened successfully and  attempted to make adjustments to a template that I have four or five projects underway in. When I tried to save, I got an error message saying the file was corrupt w/"retry" and "cancel" options, but either one just opened a "50% compression window" whic remained hung up on the screen. I had to close Captivate through Task Manager as this window hung up the whole computer and I couldn't leave the Captivate application. Now I can't even open the template at all. It won't allow me to create a "New Project from Template" using the template, and when I try to open the template, both from from file explorer from the Captivate start screen, I now get the follow

Hello Madam/Sir,Good Morning/Good Evening, There is a issue with my project, please find the explanation below:Explanation:1) There are 4 buttons on the main slide, and the 4 buttons have 4 pop ups with 4 close buttons on the same main slide.2) These 4 popups have audio's inside them.3) Once the audio's from the 1st popup is done playing then only the close button from the 1st popup should activated to close the popup. Till then it should be disabled. It is the same for the remaining 3 popups.4) When all the popup audio's are finished playing next button should be enabled. Is there a way to write a advanced action for this case?

I found by accident that sending variables to a database with 'form action post' no longer works. My question: Does captivate prevent sending variable via 'form action post'? The variables are read in via php and mysql after sending.

Hi, We currently have PowerPoint slides for an instructor lead training course. So this in a classroom and the instructor uses a presentation clicker to advance the slides.I am wondering if Captivate can do that same thing, so slides are advanced using a clicker? Can I just import the PowerPoint edit what needs changing and then export as SCORM? Can a presentation clicker still be used? Kind regards, Kelly Sheehan

I am having significant trouble getting a SCORM 1.2, HTML5 (blank, non-responsive project) to sync up its completion status with Talent LMS.  I have tried just about every Adobe Captivate (2019) publish setting I can find with continued issues. Specifically, it seems there is a lag between the SCORM completing and the LMS recognizing the SCORM's completion status. Thus, learners are stuck on the screen with a completed SCORM, but cannot advance to the next learning module within Talent LMS. Current problem: All that to say, I thought I had identified a workaround by forcing the SCORM to close when completion criteria are met. This triggered the Talent LMS environment to enable learners to click to advance to the next module. HOWEVER, I have a few colleagues who tested the SCORM using Google Chrome on macOS and reported a browser tab crash upon completing the SCORM. Other open browser tabs are not affected, only the tab with Talent LMS and the embedded SCORM abruptly clos

Is there a way to publish a Captivate 2019 project into a different format than HTML.  This project won't be hosted on an LMS.  The customer was asking about MP 3 or MP4.Thank you,Susan

I am new to Captivate.  When trying to upload either a PPT or PPTX, it seems to upload the slides, but then when I get to the preview window, it freezes.  I cannot hit OK or cancel or change anything.  So I am never able to actually convert them.  HELP!

I want to add some assets but when I click on the assets button, nothing happens. I'm using Captivate 2019Has anyone run into this and how do I solve it?Thanks

HiI have created a simple slide in slide out menu. But for some reason the script only run once. I have tried to used variables to "reset" the script but no luck. What am I missing? One script are on one open button and the other on another close button.

As part of a new project, I have been asked to update our current eLearning which was mostly built in Animate/Flash. Is it possible to use old existing swf files and build newer eLearning in Captivate? I tried inserting the existing swf files in a new Captivate project but they do not seem to work. I was hoping to sort of create a course in a rapid manner with existing swf files, but maybe that's not the right approach? I would appreciate any ideas/ suggestions on this issue.

I am reaching out to ask for your support for my ongoing project. Currently, I am creating an Interactive Animated Video in Adobe Captivate 2019 version. Upon trying to upload an eLearning SCORM 2004 version into our Learning Management System, it's all good and the interactions are working. However, when I tried exporting and disabled the eLearning Output setting and then uploaded it to our Content Management System, the asset is working but once clicked on the interaction, the video goes to loading and then routes at the start of the video again. I would like to hear from you on what is the possible problem and solution for this one.

Hi, Is there a way of returning to a certain point on a slide? I have a slide that shows a sequence of events.... one the sequence has been completed, id like the user to be able to watch it again via a 'repeat' button. is there a way that i can say, 'when repeat button is pressed return to 00:02 (for example)  on the slide and play so that the pattern repeats (as many times as the user likes) many thanksRob

Hi Adobe community,  I have uploaded a SCORM  Package 1.2 to the LXP platform called Degreed and when I try to open the course it shows the following message "Adobe Flash Player is no longer supported". Is there a way to run the course on Degreed? Thanks for your help,Sabina

Hi, I hope someone know how to do this. There is a quiz. It has 30 questions. Each question has 3 answers to choose from, A and B and C.The goal is that at the end of the quiz, if more A's were selected by the user, then show message X as feedback. If B's were selected more, then show message X1 and if C's were selected more, then show message X2 as feedback. I hope it could explain it clearly.  Thank you very much. 

Hello,    I made an e-learning course to include in my portfolio (google site) rather than for uploading to a LMS1.  I download the project to my device as an HMTL 5 file (not zipped)2.  The download is successful and I can view/play the "output" and see my project.3.  I upload it to my S3 bucket on AWS and the upload is successful.4.  When I click on the index file to get the URL I get this message*I tried uploading a zip file and also uploading to a different hosting platform with the same result.   Can anyone help with this?

In a project I am working on, I use a Hide Playbar action when the slide is entered.  After it plays to a certain point, I want to Show Playbar to reveal the Playbar.Is this easily accomplished? Many thanks in advance!

Has anyone else encountered an issue where the published HTML files work fine in Chrome, but problematic in Safari. The animations are not smooth in Safari and audio files are not playing. I am not seeing the same issues when using Chrome. There also seems to be loading issues and the file becomes frozen in Safari.

Hi All!I'm an animator, and I've created some training animations for a client. The idea is that the user will watch the animated video (created in AE), and then do a quiz or reflection based on the video. There will be six videos, followed by six quizes. The client will deliver the material on Moodle 3.9, hosted by them. So my question is: Would Captivate be a good tool to do this with? I need it exported as a SCORM package, and I don't have a ton of experience with Captivate. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hello all, I am new to Captivate 2019 and I already wanting to uninstall it! It seems to have been coded in the early 2000's (maybe late 90's) and the more I use it, the more I want to remove it. Its vastly different and disappointing compared to today's modern eLearning products. I come from using Articulate 360/Rise and this is night and day in comparison. Is there anyone out there using Articulate 2019 and can relate to this or is it just me because I am new and haven't gotten used or accepted this setback? I have used many of the Adobe Creative Creative Suite products and love them! In fact, this is like a totally different product as it has none of the looks and feels of other Adobe products. Its sad because on paper, its appears to be a great product for the capabilities and features it offers but the UX is horrible - non intuative poor layout/design, no intergration with other Adobe products and crashes peridically (and I am on a late model very well spec'ed Alienware

The image below has colored lines with arrows. Any recommenation on how to most efficiently, effectively animate the arrows traleling through the lines?   Dvaid
