My Adobe Digital Editions installation (4.5) is not opening .acsm files. This issue occurs with files from any source, including free Adobe ebooks. I get the following error message: "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY" I have been seeing this error for almost a month, and nothing I do resolves it. I have uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it. I tried deauthorizing my computer, but every time I try to deauthorize I get another error: "Unable To Erase Authorization. Please try again after some time." I have been getting this error for about 5 days.Attempts to contact tech support resulted in a 20-minute chat where I was transferred to multiple departments, was greeted with the phrase "I can help you," and then told to go to the forums. As you might imagine, this is extremely frustrating. I am running Mojave on a MacBook air.

License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERRORI have now followed the instructions from a few articles. uninstall , reauthorise etc.i do the install on Apple Macbook Tahoe 26.1Authorise the application with my adobe idlogin to adobe and download the sample ebook . but it always gives this message.i dont run a firewall and have tried with bitdefender disabled. Any ideas what i can check ?
Compro un libro electrónico en una librería asociada con KOBO, y al intentar convertir la licencia electrónica, (el archivo *.acsm) en un libro electrónico, me aparece el mencionado error.Aclaro: 1) Mi versión de ADE (Adobe Digital Editions está autorizada). 2) Este procedimiento (convertir la licencia acsm en un libro electrónico) no había sido problema nuinca. 3) Con KOBO es con el único proveedor que actualmente (y desde hace un año) tengo ese problema. ¿Alguien que POR FAVOR pueda orientarme para solucionarlo?De antemano, Gracias.
Hello Community,I am having trouble authorizing my new computer/e-reader using my Adobe ID in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).I suspect I may have reached the maximum number of authorized devices, as I get a generic "Activation Failed" message (or "E_ACT_NOT_FULFILLED").I need to deauthorize an old computer that I no longer use, but I cannot access it.Could someone please provide guidance or steps on:How to remotely deauthorize old devices connected to my Adobe ID?What is the best way to contact Adobe support if remote deauthorization is not possible?Any advice on clearing an activation slot would be highly appreciated! I have tried, many times to "Authorise" my computer, & get an error message: E_AUTH_FAILEDI cannot transfer my e-Books to my e-Reader, nor download them to my MacCan anyone help me please? !
Ich nutze digital Editions jetzt schon sehr lange. Jetzt habe ich mir einen Laptop zugelegt und möchte auch dort meine Bücher aus der Bücherei verwalten. Laut ADE müsste das an bis zu 6 PCs möglich sein. Inzwischen habe ich es erreicht, dass ich meinen PC authorisieren kann. Nur, wenn ich ein Buch auf den Reader (Tolino shine) kopieren möchte kommt o.g. Meldung mit dem Zusatz: keine Berechtigung zum kopieren des Buchs.
Ciao,il mio kobo Clara continua a non risultare autorizzato da adobe Adobe Digital Edition, nonostante che in Adobe Digital Edition invece risulta esserlo (sia computer che kobo). Nel kobo tutti i file continuano ad essere lockati e non visibili (i file hanno il lucchetto cosi come il file di autorizzazione) . Ho provato di tutto ad installare versione 3.0, deautorizzare kobo e ADE, nulla, stesso problema, poi ho installato la versione 4.5, stesso problema. Non ricevo nessuno errore, e come se il kobo non recepisse l'autorizzazione. Ho appena ricomprato il kobo clara quindi era la prima volta che inserivo l'autorizzazione.
Ik kan mijn autorisaties niet verwijderen van de computer; computer zegt steeds probeer het later opnieuw, maar ik probeer het al dagen; ik kan ADE ook niet koppelen aan mijn e-reader op deze manier, het lijkt of de autorisaties niet goed zijn, heb al nieuw password, maar krijg de autorisatie er niet af
I want to deathorize my account from ADE, but i get the message that it's not possible and have to try again later. I've been trying this for a week now and it still won't work. I've tried the steps for Macintosh: - quit Adobe Digital Editions. - Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.But this doesn't work because i can't find the map adobe in the Application Supprt map. Can somebody help me ?
Hey ADE folks. New here, trying to get an acsm file to epub without much luck. It seems like many on this forum compatibility is an issue across the board, including Android. I can't install this program at all because it was made for an older version. Guessing y'all are understaffed? I don't understand why this isn't rolled into PDF reader. Seems almost like you don't want us to use this format.
HelloI received an email from a user who needs to use Adobe Digital Editions to access content from an EBook Library Vendor. I was wondering if Enterprise IDs can be used to sign into Adobe Digital Editions?I am new to the software and in the small amount of testing I have done I have not seen any way to log in using our Adobe Enterprise ID, which pushes to our SSO (Single Sign ON) system.Any help would be appreciated. Just installed ADE on my iPad to read my $300 purchase - app says it downloaded the book, but I can't read or search anything, app seems to hang / freeze. Any ideas how to get this working? Any alternative (app)?
Hello ,I’m experiencing repeated crashes with Adobe Digital Editions. Every time I try to open or access certain eBooks, the application crashes, and I receive the following error message:“Error getting license – server communication problem E_ADEPT_DATABASE.”I have tried ., reinstalling, deauthorizing, authorizing ], but the issue persists.Has anyone encountered this error before, or does anyone know how to resolve it? Hallo, ich habe auf einem Rechner das Problem, dass das Hauptfenster von Adobe Digital Editions nicht angezeigt wird.Das Programm erscheint in der Taskleiste, doch das Hauptfenster nicht. Habe Folgendes schon ohne Erfolg probiert:- de-installiert und neu installiert- Start als Admin Bitte um Hilfe.
I upgraded my PC to Windows 11 a few days ago. This morning I tried to authorize a book through ADE and the programm crashed. I rebooted, same issue. I uninstalled the whole lot, reinstalled, still no luck. I did a deep clean, removing the keys from the registry before reinstalling a second time, didn't help. I tried a few of the suggested solutions, no results. The programm is marked as open on the taskbar, but there is no window to be seen, clicking on it results in something flashing in the corner and that's it. I did see some books at some point but clicking on the one I needed, turned it sluggish, then the programm stopped responding. I tried running it in compatility mode and as an admin, to no avail. I'm at wits end now. Any solutions from people who ran into the same problem ? Thank you. @Adobe : please fix this.
Ich bin am verzweifeln. Ich habe seit geraumer Zeit einen Kobo Aura H2O autorisiert mit Adobe ID. Wenn ich gekaufte Bücher über ADE 4.5 auf diesen übertrage, kann ich sie lesen. Wenn ich Bücher aus der Onleihe ausleihe (gerade erst registriert), in ADE über die ACSM-Datei importiere, kann ich das Buch am PC lesen. Wenn ich das Buch aus ADE auf den Kobo übertrage und es dort öffnen will, ist mein eReader angeblich nicht autorisiert. Die ID in ADE und die ID auf dem Kobo sind identisch.Jetzt habe ich noch einen Tolino Shine Color (neueste Generation). Ich habe die ACSM-Datei dorthin kopiert und erhalte die Mitteilung, dass ich das Buch nur über ADE übertragen kann. Also ID des Tolino gelöscht, unter ADE 4.5 neu autorisiert, dann Buch aus ADE auf Tolino kopiert. Das Buch zeigt mir beim Öffnen nur weiße Seiten. In ADE kann ich alles lesen, aber den PC will ich nicht rumtragen.Wie kann man so etwas beheben?

Hi, I’ve recently downloaded all the ebooks I’ve bought on my Kobo Account and tried to import them in ADE so that I could read them on my other branded devices. As I had just installed ADE on this computer, when I tried to open the .acsm files, it asked me to login in order to add my computer to the authorized device.I tried several times to login but it failed every time. So at some point, I checked the "I want to authorize only my computer without an id" checkbox and was able to add all the books. Then I figured that with this type of authorization, I was not able to open the books on other devices !!!So I though of creating a new Adobe account, ripping all the ADE installations and data files and do the process again of importing the .acsm files so that ADE would ask me to add my device to my Adobe ID. Which is what I’ve done.As expected, ADE asked me again to authorize my computer (as I uninstalled ADE and cleared all its data and conf). The authentication wor
It keep on crashing since 4 months now without any solution. I'm forced to use an obsolete and unsecure version of ADE ( v3.0). It looks like Adobe do not want to solve the software problem and this is very disappointing.Is there maybe somewhere an alternative solution available?
I want to sync my annotations from the Adobe Digital Editions App on my Android device to Adobe Digital Editions on my iMac computer. However, when I copy the .annot file from one location to the other, the macOS Adobe Digital Editions app will delete the file I copied from the Android app and I therefore cannot see my annotations on the macOS app. It seems that the android version uses a different XML format then the macOS version. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Hello,I am experiencing an authorization problem with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) related to inconsistent device identifiers.On my first two computers , ADE is authorized with my Adobe ID and both use the same device ID.On my third computer, authorized with the same Adobe ID, the device ID is diffrent thus I cannot open my ADE licend files.I have already tried the following steps on my third computer: - Fully deauthorized and reauthorized - Uninstalled ADE and removed the whole registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept to enforce a new device ID - Deleted the local folder AppData\Local\Adobe\Adept - Even created a new Windows user profile and reinstalled ADE with admin rightsDespite all of this, the UUID on my third computer remains unchanged, preventing me from opening DRM-protected eBooks that I bought and which were are workung on the first two computers.My questions: - Does anyone know someone, may be the Adobe Digital Support, to synch

Buenos días, os escribo porque tengo un e-reader Kobo Clara que hasta hace unos días me funcionaba perfectamente y me dejaba descargar libros de la biblioteca.Me he cambiado de comunidad y he empezado a utilizar eBiblio, y según Adobe el Id de la aplicación no existe y no me dan solución. Concretar que no coinciden las cuentas de la eBiblio y de Adobe, por ahí puede venir el fallo, pero al no poder dar de baja la cuenta actual en Digital Editions...He instalado y desinstalado la app, reparado el eReader...No se qué más hacer, salvo utilizar el móvil para leerlo, o la tablet.Le ha pasado a alguien más?
