Questions

Hello everyone. I am new to Dimension and have some questions. I design cycling apparel and very interested in showing it off in 3D. There are some 3d templates that I can buy from Yellowimages but I thought, maybe it's possible that I can create my own 3D object to apply my design to? I have played with Dimension briefly. Just applying design to objects.  The questions are: 1. How do I start?2. I design everything in Illustrator where I have a 2D template. Can I export the files/template to Dimension and make it 3D?3. Hello to the whole community.I am new to DIMENSION and I have a problem that I cannot solve.I have created a crystal glass in Adobe Photoshop and when I go to include a logo, it automatically creates 2, one in front of the glass and one behind.I only need 1 logo.Why can this be? can you tell me how to make only 1 logo appear?  However, when I choose an object from the default ones in DIMENSION, when I include the logo, it appears only once. Thanks in advance, Miguel 

I have a project with 7 objects (5 cars, a motorcycle and a diner) moving and manipulating everything is no problem, but when i try to add a texture (from the defalt options) the loading screen comes up, and sometimes never stops (just a loading bar without using any processing power)Any way to cancel the action? or to clear the window?

I've noticed this really annoying (bug)? in Dimensions. When I make a model to scale and use labels, and save to CC Library, it seems fine. I then eventually place all my models in a document together for a render and they all:1) place very far from actual size2) the labels are severely stretched and skewed.Forgive my bad example but blurred for some client privacy.the 4.5 in box example to the left is the file it's built in  - not dragged from the library. The 10in & 12in boxes are both placed from my library. You can clearly see that they are obviously way smaller than actual size and the 'label' (I use that method for placing my artwork) is skewed, zoomed, and just all wonky. Adobe, please fix this! It would make my life so much easier.

Hi, I have a problem with modeling hollow cylinders and importing it to Dimension without bugs (the programmers for Form Z can't find any fault in their program).  The hollow cylinder is exported to an object. Then imported into Dimension. Without doing anything else the program makes a square on top of the hole in the cylinder. This happens to any cylinder-object I make, both simple or detailed models.  Is there anyone that has experienced the same problem or someone who can think of a way to avoid this?We have tried to fix the UV-map, but that is very complicated and does not fix it a 100%. I have attatched a picture of the object in Form Z and one from Dimension with the square.Adobe would not let me upload the OBJ-file unfortunately.  All help is much appreciated! 

Hi.Is it possible to fill volumetric gradients in adobe dimensions. For example a transparent cylinder with high color density on the axis and the transparency falls off away from the axis. (I want to creat a 3d laser beam using dimensions).

Hello,  Can anybody help me figure out why Dimension is creating these strange web effects on mouseover? Have you experienced this? Feel like I'm living in the Matrix. Also should mention that I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to no avail.

If you look at the animatronic on the right youll see how glitchy it is. How do i fix this issue?

I have .SKP files and need to open in, I have found this suggesting .skp file  will work with Trimble SketchUp  but I am looking for Adobe Dimension supported files list from this official community only.   Thanks![links removed by moderator]

So the GPU no longer functions as a driver to render scenes. I shouldn't have to roll back my driver version either for Dimension to utilize my GPU. It is a rendering software for god's sake! Please fix. 

Hi everyone, i created an object with vectors in illustrator, then in 3d photoshop i created an 3d object with a 360 round extrusiuon and finally on to dimension as .obj , but when i try to wrap any image around in dimension, appears duplicated on each half side of the object instead as one single image around the hole object. as you see in the image attached i just placed once the image but it appears duplicated on each half of the object, instead as one single image wrapping around the hole objectany help will be appreciatedthank you

I have an Adobe subscription and downloaded Dimensions. It says that it should work on this computer, but when I open the program and try to create a new document, it just thinks and stops responding, no matter what I click. Can anyone help me please?

I've designed and built several labels in Illustrator. When I add them onto my bag as a decal, they seem to be blurry. Even when rendering them in HIGH resolution as a PSD they are still blurry. I know I can export each one of the .AI files as a .PNG and to solve the issue but that seems like a long workaround. Does anyone know why .AI files are blurry when applied as decals in Dimension? I tried to post a sample file here but kept getting this error …so here's a link to the sample file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jcqfkl09lqzhxvk/Bag%20Test.dn?dl=0

I can't open Adobe Dimension. As I open it i have a note saying to buy the Dimension license. The problem is that I already did it. I can use all the otheres adobes apps very weel, but with dimensio I'am having problems.  

I've installed Dimensions and all I get is a grey screen. The program will load for a second and then it goes blank. I can't even close the application. I have to open Task Manager to close the application. I've tried running the application as administrator, that doesn't work. I've updated all the display drivers and that didn't work. I've also tried low-saving energy and different modes for the display and it still won't load.  I have a Dell XPS 8920 (2017) tower running on Windows 10

Since two weeks ago, my Adobe Dimention stopped working, I tried installing the older version (3.3) and it worked for a couple of days and stopped working again. 

I have been trying to make a toy using Dimension but the moment I try to place a decal on one face of the form , it automatically starts showing on the inside of the hollow form too. I have no idea how to rectify this. Could someone pleas help me with troubleshooting the same.

Hello, I have just started using adobe dimension and all of the renders have come out blurry. Whenever I render something i have made, I do have previe activated and I have chosen the view that I want. Also I always choose the high quality option. Could someone help me and let me know what I am doing wrong?Thank you. 

Hi, I have a model which has been worked on in Zbrush (image attached) I cant seem to get it to load in Dimensions, its just getting stuck at 50% and i have to then force quit the application. Any idea what i can do? Thanks 

Alright so this maybe my novice 3D modeling skills, poor comunication between two programs, or any number of other factors... but I've been scracting my head over this for a while now and the community here is rather good about solving, or at least explaining whats happening, so thank you in advance to anyone who can help me! I have created a model in blender 2.81 with no modifiers, no subdivisions, no shade smooth properties, just a model at the bare bones... now this may seem familar to some who have helped me in the past because it is a similar bottle that I did take all the way across the finish line and it looked great but I have stripped it back to the bare minimum to try and solve an underlying issue. I am having trouble understanding the distortion I am seeing at the neck of the bottle with decal placement (reguardless of scale). It makes no sense to me when every other portion of the decal responds perfectly to the bottles curves. Again thank you in advance to anyone

I've downloaded several of the vinyl record templates from the Adobe Stock site. I started placing graphics on the objects, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting the label part of the record to look right. I'm talking about the center of the record itself which is a circle with a small circle cut out of it. Any image I try to place here is heavily distorted, almost like it's being placed on some kind of distorted glass object. I just need the image to appear flat and with just the usual scaling. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or need to change.

Ok, so here's my dilemma. I've done several 3D models in this program, but in the last couple of months Dimension has been running incredibly slow. Lagging is an understatment. Now it chooses to work when it wants. Especially when importing OBJ files to do custom model work. Is my computer just not capable in handling this program?? It just drives me nuts that i've been using this program most all 2020, and just started slowly working worse and worse till it just doesnt respond anymore.

Hi everyone, I haven't been able to open the app in a couple of days now. when i try to open the app, i get this message: a problem caused the application to not work properly.This problem usually lasts for days, the app then works for a copuple of days, and eventually stops working again.I have a Macbook pro 16 inch.
