Hi everyone,right after the 21.5 update, DW can't sync files anymore.I've tried everything, including deleting dwsync.xml files and even preferences files.Nothing: it just can't sync with remote server.Got back to 21.4, but I think this is a huge problem to fix asap.

HelloI am having performance issues with Dreamweaver that has been going on for weeks. Namely extremely slow response to loading-file-to-scroll times and extremely long response times for editing.Typically loading a small standard html file takes 40 seconds, 20 seconds of which is a white screen in the editor and the other 20 seconds waiting for the mouse to be able to scroll. Then I enter a single letter and another 20 second lag before the cursor updates. It is unusable for development work. I have been using DW for fifteen years on my site and it has never performed so poorly.I have 16 GB RAM and the total computer typically uses 11 GB with DW taking up 3.5 GBHere is what I have tried according to the forum and AI assistance1. Do not have live view enabled - I never have, so irrelevant2. Switch off code hinting - no effect3. Switch off site cache in the site console - no effect, bad with and without cache4. Cleared site cache and rebuild - done several times - no effect4. Check late

Hello,I have created a page and the page shows everything it should in the designer view screen. Also, when I do a preview in the browser, it is still there. But when I upload it, the image does not appear. I am specifically referring to the header image that should be the constitution like in the screenshot below. I've uploaded several times, and even deleted the page and image from the server and uploaded again. Nothing. Can you tell me what I may be missing? I'll put the link in the comments because for some reason, the post won't let me add it.

I just got a brand new Mac Studio with M4 chip. I had Mac Studio with the M1 chip. Identical setup just a new computer.  Dreamweaver FTP worked fine on the M1 mac, now I'm getting Access Denied errors or password and user is incorrect. Filezilla works fine.

It's been a long time since I've done this, so I've forgotten how to do it. I primarily access my website from my Mac Studio, but I'll be traveling and need to work from my laptop. I have DW on both computers. I've entered the FTP settings into DW on my laptop, thinking I could just download it to an external portable drive, but it doesn't let me do that. I know I'm missing something simple but critical, since I've done it before.  

In Dreamweaver, I have the following function:This function, and the whole file that contains it, runs without error on my server, so I believe it is valid PHP code.However, Dreamweaver is displaying errors, claiming there is a syntax problem.I believe the syntax I'm using is valid since PHP version 7 or 8. Dreamweaver seems to only reference PHP 5.6 or 7.1. I have selected for Dreamweaver to reference PHP 7.1, but this has not made a difference.Why is Dreamweaver marking my code as incorrect? Is the PHP in some way non-standard, even though it works? Or is this a limitation of Dreamweaver?

I noticed on the bottom toolbar of dreamweaver, it has some pre-defined screen sizes for phones like 1phone7, etc. Is there any way to get an update to the newer phones into that area vs me manually adding them? Search in genaral on all search engines, including Adobe can't seem to find a document on this, they default on how to make your site page responsive.

Hi folks. Something strange is happening with Dreamweaver's file manager.I just upgraded to Dreamweaver 19.1 but have noticed this in earlier versions as well.I'm using MacOS 10.13.6. I also have AVG installed but I'm able to reproduce the below whether I have it enabled or not so that doesn't seem to be a factor.Otherwise just a very normal setup / nothing unusual with my network or software etc.So we normally have production and development sites, each with separate FTP accounts. I would sync both and often use FileMerge to compare the two sets of files. I've been noticing recently that certain files seem to have differences that are unexplainable (because they were happening to files that we weren't changing as part of our work e.g. JS libraries).On closer inspection, these files would contain strings of unknown characters (see screenshot). If I view the original file on the web server using the file manager in Plesk, this corruption is not there.I dug a little bit further and tried

First of all, I'm not a professional, not a coder, and not a webmaster. I don't write HTML, either. I could make a basic website with the old, 2015 Dreamweaver, aligning text to center, selecting the medium/large/x-large font, create tables, etc. I had just gotten to where I understood CSS and could use it a little. But this new Dreamweaver that I'm using during their trial period - it's like a totally different program, and only meant for paid professionals. I don't know how to even align the text to center, make it larger or smaller, or do anything, really. I designed my two, basic, existing websites with DW, and I'm not sure a different program will accurately modify them, so I thought I'd try the new DW. Talk about a learning curve! Am I going to have to buy a book (how antiquated) just to figure out how to navigate this version?

Hi all, have a Dreamweaver license running on my old compuber since 2013. I remember when I installed it, I had to call support. They said something like: "We changed the licensing servers."I know they asked me to disconnect from the internet.I don't know how I got to the next menue, however I got a REQUEST CODE. The support gave me a RESPONSE CODE and I had the program installed. I thanked him and asked what would I do next time. He said: "Just call me again." I think I did the offline installation for Dreamweaver CS5.5Last week I called Adobe and they said, the support is over, they cannot help me.I know there is a response code generator Antwortcode generierenI disconnected from the internet, but there was no offline activation procedure started. I cannot remember what I did in 2013 to get there. Can anyone help me? I am looking forward to your answer. BestWolfgang 

New installation of DW 21.4 on mac Ventura (I am very experienced with DW CS6, new to CC)If I click on a link in Design view, the Properties inspector shows the target value, but  does not highlight it and I cannot select the value with the mouse. I can place the cursor at the end of the URL and backspace over the whole thing, but what a pain. Similarily, if I'm looking at a CSS selector in the CSS Designer panel and click on, say, the color picker in the properties panel, the value does not highlight and I cannot select the value with the mouse. If I try to past a new value, it appends that to the end of the current value. I know it should highlight as I have watched a number of how-to videos with DW CC and those fields highlight and select just as expected (and how CS 6 worked.) I've quit and restarted, no joy. Don't see any setting for those input fields either.

Why can't I select multiple images in the FILES PANE and drag them onto my HTML page?  It worked a long time ago on earlier versions of DW but recently does not?  If I select three, it brings in only one.Second part, I now select several images using FINDER on my Mac and was able to drag them into the HTML page.  In DW 2017, I get a message saying "Your files are not within the root" even through they really are?  When I drag them into the HTML file, I have to bring them in one at a time and then delete the local path name?  Below, the file I want to bring in is in the path  /starlighters/2017-01-21/    that is the images is at  /starlighters/2017-01-21/2017-01-21-starlighters-post-diner-001.jpgIf I say YES, it moves ONE AT A TIME.....  If I say no I get a pathname of //LILES/MAC-HD/users/sites/starlighters/  in every image and have to remove and replace them......  Until I can do this, I go back to CS5 and bring in the i

J'ai créé mes propres CSS avec Notepad++, mais Drw ne s'en contente pas puisqu'il créé un nouevau style à la moindre modif en direct, côté Wysiwyg (Style1, style2, etc...).Donc au bout d'un moment, on se retrouve avec des quantités affolantes de styles créés automatiquement dans la liste des styles.Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

i need help in getting a section of the body text of one page (index.html) from one domain's folder to populate to the specific body section of multiple domain's pages (index.html). i know this can be accomplished via css, but every youtube video i search does not address this specific problem, only how to use css as style templates. what i need to happen is every time i update the particular section of the index.html of thedocfactory.com that lists the films and thumbnails or production status of the list of films (over 56 so far) i need to have it update the same list of films on each films individual page. please don't suggest copying and pasting, as i said there are at least 56 other sites that must have that particular section updated each time a new film, preview thumbnail, or status changes, and there are new films added constantly.all i need is a generic instruction of how the text section of one page can populate multiple pages by linking to it in dw. then i can link all pages

Why isn't display background files activity window on dreamweaver.Until yesterday, a pop-up window was displayed where I had feedback regarding the process of uploading and/or downloading files from the server.This morning I noticed that that pop-up window with background activity no longer appearsHow can the problem be fixed?

Hello. I need to get the site I'm working on to refresh automatically (much like major news websites which will refresh every 30 seconds or so, but nowhere near that degress of frequency) every hour or so and can't find any way to do that. Is there code I need to add to the header of the index.htm to make that happen?  Thanks.

'm just curious — I used Dreamweaver and also taught it between 2004 and 2010. I haven't used it in years, and I wonder how it's being used today in terms of coding or design. Does it still have layout issues when designing?

Is there a way to disable the automatic insertion of closing brackets in DW 2018? I appreciate the HTML and PHP code completion but the closing of brackets drives me crazy.Thanks in advance for your help!
