I have a perpetual licence and my computer crapped out and installed dreamweaver on the new computer but i can never get it activated. I assume its because i was never able to deactivate on the other machine, which i dont have anymore. Not sure what to do.

I've installed two extensions and niether one is showing up.  I get "No extentiosn available"

I'm trying to access the extract panel, it loads perfectly fine but when I try to upload a PSD it shows this message "You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT administrator to gain access." I'm not sure if my license has expired for dreamweaver, but any help or tips would be appreciated.

Hi, I am running a personal website. When we access this website, we are seeing a Red line on top of Lock-Symbol, as a prefix of URL prashanthvfx.com  [link removed by moderator].  When i cross checked with my hosting provider, they said that i need to buy SSL security, cost of which is more than the hosting package itself.   Can somebody advice, whether we can able to solve this in Dreamweaver itself?   Thanks for your time.

I'm currently building a fansite for a series of web videos. The title for the series uses Georgia Bold with a fisheye effect applied. I've approximated the fisheye effect on the text in Illustrator but had to convert the text to paths to import it into my XD mockup. Assuming that I license the typeface for my fansite, is it possible to apply the fisheye effect to HTML text in realtime via CSS or other web standards technology?If this should be posted somewhere other than the Dreamweaver community, please let me know if there is another Adobe community board where it would be appropriate to ask web-specific questions such as mine.

I am used to using Dreamweaver,  and have a monthly subscription of it at roughly £20 per month. I use it to sporadically update a website I run. The thing is, it is costing me the best part of £240 a year to use an app about 7 or 8 times! I know this probably isn't the place for this question but would appreciate a direction to take my request to - anyone help or give an idea of who to contact please? Dave, UK.

When looking at an HTML export, dreamwever (in split view) will show the HTML at the top of the page, but will not show code view on the bottom half. Tried viewing code only, and coworkers works fine. Help get my code view back!

[Branched & moved by moderator.]   Why take something that was so easy and intuitive and make it more complex and unintuitive? Why not have Ctrl-F offer all the features of Ctrl-F and Ctrl-Shift-F and eliminate Ctrl-Shift-F? Why do I have to fill in so many items just to do a simple search? I tried to create a list of  <title> tags of all webpages in a folder. I know every webpage has a <title> tag. The results -- "Done. Not found in 65 documents." It used to be so easy to generate a list of all <title> tags. Now it may be impossible. Adobe really needs to hire a User Experience expert.  

I am new to dreamweaver, I know there are sites out there to use like mail chimp etc, but as I have all the Adobe programmes I want to be able to do it myself...I don't want to give up! I have managed to begin designing my email so far using the 'responsive' email template. But before I continue down this path... I want to work out how you send it once its created. I will be sending the email through Outlook once it is made.

When I create an HTML email I can't figure out why the light grey box area surrounding the center table doesn't adjsut to the email panel. After several attempts, the issue persisted, so I loaded a template in preview, copied and pasted into the email and the same thing happens. The preview looks great, and when I zoom out of the email the grey body extends, but who is looking at their webpages at 30%. Anybody have a fix or thoughts?

I am using DW from CS5.  I understand how to install a third party file comparison tool, but not how to actually launch it within DW.  Anyone here know how?

Hi everybody, I would like to incorporate a text preview function into a Dreamweaver site, the type you commonly see on sites like dafont.com. It allows you to type text into a text box, select from different fonts or variations of the same font, and view the changes in real-time. Let’s say you print vinyl lettering on athletic jerseys. You could list the different fonts, and allow visitors to toggle between them to see what their lettering would look like based on the font they select, real-time. Any idea on how to proceed with this? with the update to 21.0 all my DW settings, workspaces and site defs had disappeared. No problem so far, except when opening a file in dw, I had the view splitted horizontally (Code and  Entwurf).Now I have to set such for each and every file I open in DW, I can't find a setting and it is driving me mad.

I recently had to subscribe to Creative Cloud after my old CS3 license expired. So I lost all my stored FTP connection credentials. I'm trying to reconnect to my client's site to make changes and edits, but just can't connect. I'm 99% sure I have the correct username and password (my client sent that today) but suspect it might be the Server Name and FTP Address. I spent time online with AT&T chat, got the Server Name (series of numbers -- I seem to recall using the URL before) and they claim FTP Address is not required. But it's a required field in Dreamweaver FTP. I have no problem connecting to my sites, is there something different about AT&T hosting that the agent helping didn't get? Is there a way to look up these settings by URL? Thanks for any guidance. Dave

For the last couple years I've been using a really cool video player app from Envato which works very nice for various pages on one of my websites. It's called the "HTML5 Video Player with Playlist" and has worked great for a few years now. I liked it because it was a rather simple player with image icons along the bottom, w/ description option, etc. However, that specific video player app for websites is now outdated and I'm looking to upgrade to another which may have more options. So I went to Envato and chatted and was directed to this ONE called the "Modern Video Gallery Player". After doing some reviews along with seeing how it works I like it a lot. One question I asked was will it work with all web-building programming (i.e. Dreamweaver CC) and the answer I got in return was "I can't answer that." So the question I would have here is: how can I gaurentee before purchasing this product that this will be able to work well with my Dreamweaver CC version 2017? Hi,I'm an average HTML programmer who knows just enough about PHP to use includes.I have a simple website layout that uses PHP includes like this :<?php include ('../_header.php'); ?><?php include ('content.php'); ?> <?php include ('../_footer.php'); ?>Can't use root-relative paths in includes because, as you pros already know, root-relative on the server means something completely different.Is there a quick and easy way for me to remedy this, perhaps with an added line in either the header or htaccess file? The convenience of being able to move files outside of DW without having to worry about links like these is worth the initial bother, I find.Thanks!

My old web pages print fine. When I try and print a page from my new website that is more than one sheet long, only the first sheet prints. This happens with Chrome, Firefox and other browsers. I doubt that the problem is with the browser, but rather with my web pages. I'm running Windows 10 and the differences that I can think of that might make a difference are: (1) The new site uses responsive web design, and (2) the new site uses Bootstrap 3. From experience I know that there are some things built into Bootstrap that must be over-ridden so that your coding will do what you want, e.g. a black rule is not the default. Could there be something in Bootstrap that is affecting the printing? Thank you for your help. Marcus

14 years ago I was using Macromedia Dreamweaver to develop PHP and MySQL database driven websites.For the last 14 years I was not using Dreamweaver nor developing websites.I wish now to develop PHP and MySQL driven active website.Does now Adobe Dreamweaver has same features as previously Macromedia one?  

Does anyone know how to get a Bootstrap Menu created in Dreamweaver from appearing below my page content. I have tried adding a Z-Index property of 10 to my navbar elements but they still appear under the page content.
