HiI want to move my dreamweaver html files on to a memory stick so i can show my teacher at college. However when i tried to by doing the .ste method it just showed the whole page as white with no colour and just the text i put onto the page but not in the position i put it on. There are also no pictures just a black outline and a mini picture icon in the top left corner. I am using Dreamweaver cc 2017 on a trial.I was wondering if anyone can help me as i need it done by the next couple of hours as I'm selling my macbook today.Many Thanks Nat

I'm following a recommendation from @AdobeCare to post here re: a problem I'm experiencing using DW CS6.  I've found that when I work on a site with large files (i.e. > 20k lines) DW performance plunges.  Every action (open file, search, switch tabs, etc.) takes at least seconds to complete.  I tried all of the fixes I could find for the slow performance (resolveremoteurltoip = false, exclude from antivirus scan, disable code hints, delete wincache).  None solved the problem.  When I work on any site with smaller files, DW performs fine.   When I return to the site with the large files, it goes back to taking 10+ seconds for every action.I'm currently using Eclipse to work on the site with the large file.  It very occasionally pauses for  a couple of seconds but really performs just fine. Any suggestions for solving the issue DWCS6 is having with large files are appreciated.

a friend just turned me onto firacode which doesn't really work in dreamweaver since there's no ligature support in code view. which i realize is a new kind of weird thing to ask for, but i also have a couple nice mono fonts like operator and menlo and sf mono and when i tried to use them for code view, dreamweaver just falls back to the default (courier, i think). also none of my regular fonts work either which like, i wouldn't want to use a non-monospaced font for coding, but it's a free gd country and i should have the option, y'know?

Hi,I love to use Dreamweaver, However, Adobe has decided to drop off many features that i like (such as Database support and spry validation tools and so on....),Now i have a very irritating problem, i tried to upload files from local to remote server using dreamweaver ftp tool. all the script files have been minified ( or compressed) after that.initially this is a great idea, till after my file has involved some server or dynamic script (i.e.: PHP or JS),the file will corrupted after uploaded to server due to the minify feature.of coz, you will ask me how do I know is the minify feature issue. becoz i use the same file (without Minify) saved in my local hard disk upload via third party ftp client software, (smart ftp or cyber duck), the file just works fine without any error.anyone here can guide me how do i turn off minify Code via ftp upload in DreamWeaver CC 2017, that will a big help to me.Thank you very much in advance.timhere is  my result.after uploaded to server via dream

Anyone had an issue like this before.I use the php mail function to send information gathered from a form on the clients website to my clients email address but they say they are not getting the emails. If I add my own email address and a couple of test email address to the 'recipients' - comma seperated - the mail gets through to the other email addresses just fine so I know the host mail server is dishing out the information.If I sent email to the client via an email client, not a website form, the mail gets through to them just fine. I've asked them to check their spam box but they say there is nothing in that. I've asked if they have any internal server set up which then distributes the mail from the host mail server but have not had a reply about that as yet.Its puzzling me. Any more ideas?My next move is to set up a test email account using the clients details and see if anything comes back to that.Os

Hi all,I'm new to dreamweaver and have only learnt the basics of coding recently and seem to be hitting a brick wall at the moment.Basically, I am creating a holding page for a website that I'm (trying) to create.  I would like the logo (which is 50 x 50px and centred in the page) to fade in for about 2 seconds then slide to the left to allow another image (which is 50 x 415px) to fade in while keeping them centred.It seems I may have been a little over-ambitious given my skillset but now that I've decided on what I want it to do, I feel I would be failing if I didn't learn how to do it!Any help would be much appreciated!!

In Dreamweaver CC 2017 I've had my iMac screen go totally black while working on a website. There was no response with my mouse, there was no way to get the screen back.  I've had to force quit the iMac and re-boot it several times.  Has anyone had this happen?  There doesn't seem to be a common trigger for when this happens.

Apologies, but I'm fairly new to web design. Although I have a specific question, if what I am doing isn't possible (or if nobody has an answer), in the end I'd like to know the best way to create a customizable menu (with the ability to insert images into the menu) in a fluid grid layout. So that is the ultimate goal here. I am using CS6 and my website is in a fluid grid layout. I am building menus with the Ajatix Advanced CSS 5 Dreamweaver Extension add-on because it allows one to insert images into the menu. With the Ajatix menu builder I am able to build the menu exactly how I want it. However, when I insert it into the website, it does not conform to the fluid grid layout CSS. So the menu does not resize and it does not appear that CSS stylesheet created for the Ajatix menu and the CSS stylesheet of the fluid grid layout are communicating with each other, or one is overriding the other. I use DW-CS6 and I have just started using LBM.  I've reviewed the manual but I'm not finding my answer there.  Can anyone please tell me how to create bullet lists in LBM so that they remain inside the working column?  I find that they keep jumping outside of the left side of the column area into another column area.Thanks,Tamlyn

Underwhelming. Particularly when using ColdFusion - CFSCRIPT in particular. eg comments are the same colour as script code. Why is that I wonder.You really dropped the ball with DW2017. Going back to CC2015 thanks.

HelloMy new laptop displays webpage size differently. Also menus etc on the laptop.It is a 15.6" 1920 x 1080 display with Windows 10My desktop pc has the same screen resolution but a 27" display and uses Windows 7I use Dreamweaver CS6.A webpage I have measures 900 pixels wide and if I use a tape measure it shows 11" on the Windows 7 screen of my desktop pc.On the Windows 10 laptop the screen measures about 6 and 3/8ths"Something to do with DPI I think. The Windows 7 pc says 96dpi but I do not know what Windows 10 says as the same screen is missing the DPI number. They have a sliding scale from 100% and recommend 125%. This shows the webpage as described above. This is any webpage mind you.Anyone experience this?David

Yesterday I was working remotely on my mobile computer and I had DW-CC-2017 inform me that there were new color schemes available for download and I hit the "yes" and it downloaded them.  I love one of the new schemes and was looking forward to getting into the office today and getting the same update however even with a manual check for updates I still only have the default ones.  Was this update rolled back or..? Is there a method to manually update?

I've encountered this twice now. Dreamweaver has randomly changed my colours from what i have used back to the ones i got from a template that was already there. All the information is there but the colours have all gone when i preview it. if someone can tell how to fix this it would greatly be appreciated.

The entire Wordpress FTP files were downloaded from a remote server onto dreamweaver but even with MAMP running, the dreamweaver live view is only a white screen?Is the white live view screen displaying because the database also has to be downloaded? If yes, where does the database get saved ? Does the database get saved in MAMP/HTDOCS?Thank you in advance!

i'm trying to use dreamweaver with xampp v3.2.2 but the testing server is not working in dreamweaver live view....it shows the error of object not found ,,error 404?? i have connect dreamweaver with xampp many times but live view is not working with my php files ?where is the problem??

Well I feel foolish, I just spent two days teaching myself Fluid Grids on Train Simple and it's not available anymore in Dreamweaver 2017.  Are previous versions available to download?I just do not want to have to learn a whole other way of doing this.

Hi there,after installation (no errors occured) I start dreamviewer, but nothing seems to happen. I find as much Processes "Dreamweaver.exe *32" as I have tried to start the application, but there is no dialog, message or anything else.Dreamweaver CS3 was successfully deactivated on my old Win XP- Computer, the new one is a Windows 7 64 Bit, Intel Core i7 6700K,  32MB RAM System. Space on SSD etc. all okay. Acrobat Reader works. No further Adobe Setups.What is wrong? Thanks for any help

I administer a web site that is maintained using Dreamweaver CC (2017). Very recently, I've been getting several reports of people getting 501 errors when they try to visit my site, which hasn't been the case previously. Each time, I believe they have been using Chrome as their browser. Changing to another browser has taken care of the error. Any ideas on what types of things might be triggering the error that are browser-specific like that?
