Since I upgraded to 2017, there seems to be no Design view option. It shows in the dropdown menu under view, but it won't let me switch. When I choose Design view, the page goes blank, and the check mark stays on Live View. If I switch back to Live View or refresh, the page stays blank, with only code view showing content. I have to close and reopen my document to see Live View again. Live View slows my computer down dramatically and doesn't let me edit. I can only edit in code and the F5 to refresh does not update the live view. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and basically I can't get 2017 to work for me at all.

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to embed a video into Dreamweaver Bootstrap that I took with my iPhone 6 in 2015. The information I have found online does not work. I have it as a.MOV & .mp3. I would appreciate some assistance on this subject.Thank you.Carolyn

Can't insert any components. Error box says I'm using a version < 3. It then lets me update to bootstrap v 3.7, but still get the same error message.

EDIT >> PREFERENCES >> LINTING ????? Why in heaven I can't have the EDIT option on Dreamweaver 2017? Please let people choose what they want to do with their code/programming according to their use/work.Among many other things, this is why I reverted back to 2015.As soon as you put the EDIT option again, please let me know and I will gladly install Dreamweaver 2017!!!Thanks, but NO thanks!

i recently purchased the new MacBook Pro and installed CS6 Master Collection. The panels (ie style and property panels etc) all seem to be pixelated, as if the screen resolution is low.Non-CS6 software seems to be fine.any idea how to fix this? ps I'm aware I've posted this in a dream weaver discussion forum but adobe don't seem to have a forum for the this type of issue covering the entire CS collection.

I am trying to set up a registration, log on, log off, activation of a persons account and access to membership pages only. I am using dreamweaver cs3 with wamp and mysql. I can write all the relevent html and the database items in phpmyadmin. What i really need to know is how  I get the two to communicate with each other. It all seems to go wrong if I review it in the firefox browser. Your help on this is greatly appreciatedPeter

I have done a site for a company who had let their domain name expire and purchased a new, different domain name for the website. It is normal that their other listings should be given more weight by the Googlebot (Facebook, etc.) but strangely, the contact us page appears just before the home page in the Google SERPs. It is a dynamic site and the only copy appears briefly on the home page as a teaser, of which the majority appears on the contact us page. Is this the answer to the question?

I can't reset my Browser list in Dreamwaver CS6.If I remove all items in the List, and restart DW again, Safari ist still in the List again, and DW tells me that he can't read the browser list. The screen dialog tells me to remove al list items (which i already done before).System is 10.9.5.Where can i find the browser list on the hard drive? Is it possible to reset the list by removing the responsible file?

The buttons with a left and right arrow on them that are supposed to be situated to the right of the Find field in the Find dialog do not usually appear when I am doing a find - a find that is searching for terms that I know are in both the html file's text and code because I can see them. The "Find All" button works, which proves that the Find engine can locate what I am looking for, but that is usually not a convenient way for me to work. All filters are off.Another point I want to make is that when Dw's darkest interface is chosen it is very hard to tell if the filter buttons are on or off.

Anyone help with this?When using DW CC 2017 version, my <p> <div> etc, tags have started to highlight in a horrid green highlight colour in white text.I've looked at various settings and can find no way to change this or make it stop.Any suggestions?

Hello i recently updated to DW 2017 my main problem is when i double click to select an element including the php $ symbol, the past version only selects the "name" of the variable, leaving aside the $ symbol, this new version includes the symbol in the select, how can i only select the name? regards

Unbelievable how much crap one has to go through in a lifetime with this company! I've spent literally thousands of dollars over the years and it seems like I need to go through some nonsense like this once or twice every year.My Dreamweaver CS5 WAS working previously, up until shy of a month ago when I begin getting the alert telling me that I've got so many days left in my trial.I've repeatedly gone down the deactivate, uninstall and reinstall process using both the windows Programs Uninstall method as well as Creative Cloud App method...as well as making use of the Adobe cleaner tool. Still no progress. Mind you, my login credentials will work at each instance of the install but then NOT work after I try to run the program.Is it too much to ask of a supposed technically advanced company like this one to offer up software sans problems? Is it!???

The "I got the Study to Swim" part is supposed to be white just like its bottom text but when i launch it on the web browser, its purple. In dreamweaver i added the styling to put it to white and it appears white there but not when i launch it. Is there any way I can keep this to white on a web browser?

When I am trying to edit an HTML file having latin and Arabic text I stuck with the Arabic text, I can select it while I am installing the Middle Eastern version of Dreamweaver cc 2017.The Video I have made show you that some time I can select the Arabic words in individual manner and some other time I couldn't while I can do that in latin text smoothly and easily.see scrrencast of the bugIt seems to me that Dreamweaver never detect the text written in non-latin text and deal with it as one block.

Hello,with my older DW I entered & and got - no matter where - a pulldown menu to select special characters.Now with the newest DW this works not anymore inside PHP code. How do I get it back?Thank youClaus

I am making E-books (EPUB3) in DW CC 2017.0.1The EPUB standard uses xhtml files, so that's what I am making. I use this heading which is standard, with no DOCTYPE:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:epub="http://www.idpf.org/2007/ops">This has been working fine until now. But now, probably since the last DW update, it won't display anything in Design view. Only Live view works.This only happens on my laptop (PC). On my desktop PC, Design view still displays just fine after last update.Older versions of DW on my laptop also displays Design view just fine. So it shouldn't be a problem with my code - it ought to be in DW 2017 settings on my laptop. I have had a website using Dreamweaver CS4 but since my computer was upgraded I am unable to get my working files onto Dreamweaver, or connect to my internet website to get them there. When I open Dreamweaver, none of my files are there -- but I can find them one by one on my desktop when searching, at: C:/Users/User/Desktop/User/Desktop/User/Application%20Data/Adobe/Dreamweaver%20CS4/en_US/Configuration/ServerConnections/(my website address)/   with each of the files names after that.I don't know how to define root files etc. as the help manuals suggest -- it was always just there to use nefore I was upgraded. Any ideas on how I can regain my files, and connect to my remote site to put and get?  thanks! Spider

Hey,it's not a very big deal but kind of annoying everytime I see it: Some of my dialog boxes in Dreamweaver but also in Illustrator have a weird glitch with the dropshadow.Here's an exampleThis glitch comes up on both of my machines with different screen configurations, graphics cards and drivers so I think it's not a driver related issue. HiDPI and normal DPI screens make no difference. Windows and Adobe Cloud are with their latest updates.Anybody else seeing this? Any thoughts?Tim

I'm trying to set an image in the page.Here's the problemWithin Fregger there are two Folders : Business and ImagesMy page is in Business and my image is in ImagesWith my page (3m blunder.html) loaded in DreamweaverI access "insert image" and locate the image in imagesI select the image and click OKAnd I get a dialogue box with the following messageThis file is outside of the root folder of the site 'Description-Photos'and may not be accessible when you publish the site.Your root folder is:C:\Websites\Groundbreaking\Would you like to copy the file there now?I've tried everything I can think of but nothing displays the image.I cannot understand how my root folder is Groundbreaking. All of my files and web pages are in FreggerIs there any help out there?

Sometimes the html code does not appear in design or live view and vice versa. Regardless of which view I see or if I click on either side id Split view. Does this happen to anyone else? It does not always happen. (Mac Mini O/S Sierra 10.12.2) See illustration:
