I have a web site made in Word Press, and I want to move it to Dreamweaver and continue editing it, developing it, from Dreamweaver. Can anyone advise the process how this is done.   Thanks

Just upgraded to Monteray and 21.2. Open/Preview in browser no longer works, no matter what setting I have clicked it does nothing. No errors just nothing. Have deleted all browsers from the list and added them again, no diference.Same from the file menu or from the right click on a tab. I can create a temporary file if that is clicked but that's hardly practical every time I want to preview something.

Hi, If col-12 is changed to col-8, the content block is shifting to the left, even though the content within is centered. I would like this content block to maintain its appearance at the "col-8" width, but to be centered on the web page.Not sure how I can do that? I’m working on a DreamWeaver site using DreamWeaver 2021. The server uses a Razor Markup Engine to render .cshtml as .html. The .cshtml files are in https://preprod.globaltrafficgroup.com/Views/Home. If I update an existing file, say https://preprod.globaltrafficgroup.com/Views/Home/PortableRed.cshtml, then the corresponding page, https://preprod.globaltrafficgroup.com/portable-red reflects the update. Yes, I see the name and path differences and I don’t know how that happens. Also, the shared files are generating menus and link lists using a @foreach (var navItem in Model.NavigationItems) function. If I duplicate PortableRed.cshtml, re-name it to Parking.cshtml, then make changes in DreamWeaver, and upload it to the server, it does not become available as https://preprod.globaltrafficgroup.com/production. I did find an invisible file, https://preprod.globaltrafficgroup.com/Views/_notes/dwsync.xml which lists all of the files in the menu plus the new Parking.cshtml, so while dwsync sug

Hi Guys, I need a little help with understanding Flex.  I would like to rearange the layout of this page.  Currently the header goes across the top.  The next row is a nav area on the left followed by an article area and then an aside.  The last row is the footer.  I've figured out the order property but I cannot seem to make sense of the flex property used by naviagation and rightcolumn.   I would like to move navigation making it a row under the header.  The third row becomes an aside where the navigation is currently.  Everything else stays where it is.  Here's the HTML. <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en" > <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Holy Grail</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/styles.css"> </head> <body> <div id="headerwrapper"> <header id="header">Header</header> </div> <div id="main"> <article id="con

I am not an experienced user, doing simple static html to use in emails. When I use the preview item in the status bar bottom right, it works for browsers, but I really want to see how it will look in Outlook. When I try this, I get a message in Outlook that says "Unknown host in URL".  Don't know exactly what this means or what I can do to fix it. Help anyone

Hi I use the Jump Menu to post chronological items for multiple entities. However, whenever you click the '+' to add a new item to the list, the new item populates at the bottom of the existing list. Each entry I add needs to move up to the top of the list since it is newest first. Again, however, the Up and Down arrow functions within the Jump Menu only allow moving each item one space at a time. Some of the lists I am adding to have dozens of existing entries.  There MUST be a way to either add a New Item to the TOP of the list, or a "to the top" arrow to allow me to move the newly added item directly to the top of the list without dozens of clicks. I add multiple new items to hundreds of entities, so I honestly spend much of the day just clicking the "Up" arrow moving each indvidual item from the bottom of the list, up to the top, one click at a time, over and over.  Please help there must be a better way to add New Items to the top of the list, or to have a

I’m having an issue viewing an html file in Dreamweaver’s “Preview in Browser” option. The color is correct in the design view but is not rendering correctly in the browser preview. This is the case with all browsers, too. I’ve tried cleaning the browsers caches, restarting, etc., but it is not rendering the correct color. I do not have this issue with other files rendering correctly. Attached are four images in an attempt to show what I’m talking about. The sample menu displays correctly in DW as citrus but when viewed in any browser the menu items are blue with a black hover. Dreamweaver's Shortcuts have a Duplicate Command in the Edit Menu, though I can't find it on the Desktoop Menu. When I create a shortcut (Alt-Ctrl-D) nothing happens. I want to highlight a text and duplicate it without Copy-Paste. Anyone know of solutions?

I have been using Dreamweaver CS3 for many years, I know its out of date!  It has suddenly decided it cannot connect via ftp or sftp to my server.  It connects and loads fine in Filezilla.  Dreamweaver server test says connected. Attempts to upload hangs, while green line creeps across background file activity and just before the end it says timed out cancelling.  GRRR!!  Sometimes it retrieves from remote server other times that times out also.  I have tried the solutions found on this forum but without success.  It is definitely Dreamweaver that is causing the problem.

Hi, I know I can use git checkout <hash> to accomplish this, but I'm thinking Dreamweaver must have a tool for it. When I use the Git Repository History tool, I can see the hash numbers of all the commits but I can't copy them from there. Seems like there should be a better way rather than trying to remember all the numbers in the hash and then type them into the git console. Anyone know?

After the last update, ALL my Hard Drive folders disappeared from the Files Tab except, Library and System? All the other Hard Dive expand just fine, it's only my main Hard Drive - and yes all the files are actually there.
