Good afternoon,I am trying to create a menu button in dreamweaver 2021. It has been a while since I used dreamweaver, and I was going by a textbook that I used in school. Some of the information is new in the dreamweaver 2021. For instance, when creating a menu bar, the inline command is not in the property or layout panel. I started with the navigation through the insert panel, and I typed in the menu bar. 

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question regarding a JavaScript that I am trying to write for a gallery page for my website as I seem to be hitting a bit of a brick wall with it. Basically what I am trying to achieve is to have all of the images pre-organised by photo type into different folders on the server and when a particular button in the navigation bar gets pressed, it will look for every image in that folder, create an index of them and then create a table on the page to display the image results. I've tried looking into the find and fetch functions going off some YouTube tutorials however I don't think that I used them correctly as the videos were slightly out of context for what I am trying to do and it's doing my head in. I also tried just coding the table with placeholder images into the source code and have the JavaScript replace the data but the total number of results can change. Also, I would like to include a class to the table itself so I can add in some CS

03/21/2022 > my "animation containers" are not displaying - they've been up for over a year.The header on my personal website (www.flydutch.net) is blank, on my desktop workstation, my android/Samsung phone, doesn't even appear in Dreamweaver ...Is it a hack on me personally, or has Adobe/the World sworn off Flash content translated in Animate ("done" in late 2020)?Thanks in advance ...

I have been using Adobe Dreamweaver for like 7 years and every year it gets some automatic updates that keep ruin it more and more. Periodical crashes, black&white interface that is non-customizable, again periodical and let's not forget about the periodical crashes. I installed Windows 11 2 weeks ago and DW simply gets stuck or crashes every 2-3 hours on a highend PC. I am sure it's not a problem from Windows,Since 1h, I cannot open DW without crashing it. I open it, some windows are missing, I reinstall, then it works, now this happens again and again.I feel this program is being overwhelmed with useless features that simply cannot be turned off, so I want to look for an alternative.My requirements are simple. I am looking for a:-code editor for PHP/CSS/HTML with code hinting-must have built in site manager and FTP client for quick upload to server;-must have a mass search/replace featureDoes anybody have any idea what program would be a good replacement for DW to satisfy th

When I copy and paste in Dreamweaver 21.2 the pasted code is not displayed correctly with a left shift of the characters.  When I edit to correct, save and then review the information is incorrect because I was editing something different to what was pasted because it wasn't displaying correctly. Things get worse when I undo, with wierd stuff displaying.  Very hard to use the code editor when these behaviours are witnessed.

My site is on GoDaddy. I added Directory Privacy to a members-only folder. Once logged in, I have a link on the member page to a folder that, when accessed, will show the documents within for members to download. When I open locally within my browser, seems to work fine. But on-line, when I select the hot-link, I get a "FORBIDDEN - you don't have permission to access this resource. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request"  I have been on tech support for GoDaddy and with Adobe for many hours, with no solution, other than typing each document's name and linking each line to its related document, not feasible. I have to believe what I want to do must be possible and not very complex. 

Wondering if there are plans for Dreamweaver to support the newer space-separated value HSL notation in terms of color preview pop-ups. The new notation works fine in the code (doesn't trigger an error), but we don't get that little pop-up previewer for the newer HSL space-separated syntax/notation.

Hi, When I was learning .html I was taught that you should never put your e-mail address in the body of a page. This is because if you do you will be guaranteed to get a lot of spam. Is this true? I remember the best solution is an “mail-to” script that when clicked on it opens the user’s email program and fills out a specified email address and subject line. Does anyone have the code for this? Thanks for your help.

i am unable to extend the menu bar to fill the width and the footer to fill the width and extend to the bottom... any help is apreciated..

Hi all,I have used Dreamweaver for years, but the DW8 has satisifed my requirements, so I haven't caught up to DW 2021 until recently. My current irk is if I hilight an area in the Live window, the cursor location in the Code view doesn't always respond. I have to search for the code area I want to change. However, just to confuse me, sometimes this approach works perfectly - if I click in an area in the Live window, the Code window automatically displays the correct area. Am I not grasping an idiosyncrasy in DW 2021? Many thanks! Don

Hi everyone, I am very new to this program and I'm wondering if Dreamweaver can help create a desktop app, not a website. Is that possible? If it isn't are there any alternatives? I've been using Adobe XD and just realized that I need another application to code up an application or an actual developer to code it for me. Thoughts? Help would be greatly ppreciated. Thanks! 

Hi everyone, I wondered, in desperation, if any of you (more patient) people can help please. Mac Mini M1 2020 OS Monterey.Since day one DW constantly crashes mid coding, literally disappears from before your eyes followed by error report. Previously did the same on Big Sur, so its not an OS issue, as such. Happens 4-5 times day, nothing else crashes . I also have MacBook Air 2019, bought from family a few months back, brand new (wiped) Monterey install, with CC and DW duly installed from scratch. Use this for 2-3 hours a day in the morning. Same issue, yet completely different device and processor. The whole DW interface without warning just disappears from view as I am actually writing code, the restore file it offers is usually pointless, it's lost previous entries.. ISSUE 2Control/Command Z (Undo, CMD Z, CTRL Z for searchers) has a ridiculous habit of rewriting whole chunks of page code, especially on CSS files whenever I hit undo. It will not only undo who

I once loved Dreamweaver back in the good old days. Back when Macromedia released Dreamweaver in late 1999/2000. I introduced Dreamweaver to my college campus and we abandoned Adobe Pagemill in our web design class. This was so long ago it seems like another life. This was the Stone Age of modern web design, but Dreamweaver was an amazing tool that made it easy for a graphic designer like myself to layout a page. It still wasn't WYSIWYG, but it was pretty easy. You could also dive into the code and do whatever you wanted. It actually introduced me to writing code. I still remain primarily a Designer, but I can mostly do what needs to be done in code when required. I'm just a little rusty at it now. Adobe acquired Macromedia and Dreamweaver was still my go to for creating any web pages for years. Real Time Preview is great to preview HTML changes in real time. But it will not preview in real time CSS changes. Rather than have to click out of a CSS file and click the previewed HTML file  - is there a way to save the CSS file and automatically refresh the browser window?  

I have been on Adobe and GoDaddy tech support for 2 days, almost solid trying to gets the steps to make my login page work. The site is up: lakecityharmonizers.org, but I can't complete the members login page. Any help ASAP would be really appreciated. Adobe justs sends me links that don't help this simple mind. Using latest version of Dreamweaver. Today, I successfully connected to the server via FTP within DW. Selected two folders of images to be uploaded into the Images folder on the server. There was no indication that either folder was put into the destination. Checked the FTP log, no data. Checked other folders around the Images folder to see if they went into the wrong one but not there either. Now, both folders appear to have been deleted from the Local files and are not in the Recycle Bin. Anyone experience this? Ideas where the folders might have gone? Never had anything like this happen before. Don't have a backup, as they were just created. Thanks for any info. DW Help was no help. Chris

put it in a web page an I can add formatted text in a page.  Tried to usit later today  and he text no longer stays int the texbox..I wasted two hour with no luck.  So I used one of our other workstationg and loaded a site and added textbox to the page and same problem.  The "D" should have been inside the box, not out.

Hi Everyone,Hope you are doing well.I found some issues while using Dreamweaver:Full Screen Mode is not working as other apps like Safary does when is on Full Screen Mode On.When doing Git Push or Pull, most times the app stop working and you must Force Close.While using Git features, on create a Tag, the Tag doesn't refelct on GitHub online, but if you do on GitHub Online it does show on Dreamweaver. So.. i'm really new to HTML and i've got it all set up after following one of the templates and going from there, and so i'm ready to export it but i only have a HTMl and a CSS file but thats it, and it doesent look like in the preview at all when i do upload it to the web server. Hi,I am doing a regex search://\s+([a-zA-Z])To find all lines that  match this: // test// another test...I would like to change the first char to uppercase. I thought I could  use the following in the replace:// \U$1to instruct the $1 result to be upper case but this doesn't work in dreamweaver.Is there a way of instructing the search and replace dialogue to alter the $ output?

The menu name will only highlight, but will not not drop down - second try and holding the cursor on the name causes it to drop down - but there is no way to select across to the secondary menu item, i.e., "insert". Just started, maddening and useless at this point. I reinstalled Dreamweaver form CC, but useless.
