I am using adobe illustrator 30.3 (latest version) on Windows 11, version 25H2. My issue is with selection and drag with mouse. As soon as I Lauch the application and try with selection and move it works but after one or two operations it stops working and object selection and drag does not work. some keys like space bar also stops working. I did all trouble shooting as suggested by help and support, but the issue remains same. I reinstalled the illustrator after uninstalling but that also did not work, I tried with fresh document and with a simple text but the same thing happens for text also. I am not able to select and move the text with mouse. kindly guide me.

Hi everyone,I’m pretty new to Illustrator, so sorry if this is a basic question 😅I’ve noticed that sometimes when I scale or resize shapes (especially after copying or grouping them), they don’t behave the way I expect—like strokes getting thicker, or shapes slightly changing proportions.I’m not sure if this is something I’m doing wrong, or if there’s a setting I should be using (like “Scale Strokes & Effects” or something like that).Could someone explain what’s actually happening here in simple terms? I want to understand the correct way to resize objects without messing up the design.Thanks a lot in advance 🙏 

None of my Adobe Illustrator files will open and I have recieved this error that says “Can’t open the Illustration. The file is locked or in use. ID: -54 I tried everything, I restarted my laptop, I tried opening files on Adobe InDesign which worked perfectly but somehow it does not open in Illustrator.

The colors in my working space constantly change to dull and bright again (they need to be bright and I am in RGB)--I have attached a screen recording. This isn’t new--I previously asked about this, and it’s still a problem. As you can see, the colors are only affected in Illustrator--not on the rest of my screen. Sometimes it happens on it’s own without me scrolling, and as you can see, it definitely does it when I scroll. I have 2 other files open, but they are basically nothing. Extremely frustrating to deal with. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? My computer is basically brand new, all my files are on an external drive, and all my software is updated.

Turntable is missing from Adobe Illustrator yet in the home screen, it literally shows a promo/tour of the Turntable feature.

I tried using the new lock artboard feature because I wanted to paste an item in place on just one of my artboards. So, I clicked the lock icon next to all of the artboards I wanted to lock in the artboards panel. The problem is-- when I deselected the lock icons for all of the artboards, they remained locked. I can’t get at those artboards anymore! Help!

I don't know how to describe. I've been trying to reinstall it, but it doesn't work.

I’ve been using a script to make our Proofs Smaller and locked w password to be able to send through email and since updating illustrator it gives this code now. 1129270854 ('FNOC') It worked in illustrator 2024 and not 2026. Im not really techy to figure it out. I saw a few post saying something about open art boards but I’m usually only using one art board.

The new 30.3 update for Mac introduced "improved font handling in Illustrator (macOS) for better consistency and reduced reliance on unsupported system resources"However, this seems to have broken auto font activation with the Typeface font manager. Is there a way to get this fixed?Thanks!

If you want an auto nesting feature that works well I would not spend $1.000 a year on some plugin when you can do it free on ChatGPT. I am creating a multiple DTF sheets at a template size of 23 inch wide and 200 inch long. Spacing the files 1/4 inch aprat to allow for cutting and nesting based on file to nest same design with same design over placing a random design in the middle of several that are the same so it makes for easier cutting and sorting.  Can you gang up sheets of my dtf prints?   ChatGPT said:Yes, I can help gang up (arrange multiple designs efficiently) your DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints onto a single sheet for printing. Hey everyone, I’ve been using Illustrator for a while now, but recently it’s been getting super laggy even on simple files. I didn’t change anything major on my system, so I’m a bit confused what’s causing it. Has anyone else faced this or found a fix that actually works?

I have experienced this error (0xc0000142) when attempting to open InDesign and illustrator several times over the course of a few months now. There is a fix that I found through the Adobe forums that involves repairing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable program files and it works temporarily, but after a few weeks the problem reappears. I have tried installing several versions of both programs to see if it is just affecting a specific version, but it does not appear to make a difference.Any help toward a permanent fix is appreciated, as I require authorization from my company’s tech support department in order to perform the fix every time this problem occurs and it is interfering with my job. Just updated Illustrator and now when using the Eyedropper tool, it no longer gives you Smart Guides to highlight the path that you are sourcing. How the absolute heck am I supposed to do this now? How can you see what you are selecting? This has ruined my workflow.This is so absurd. Dear all,I have already mentioned this in other posts around but since I managed to get a little deeper I wanted to give this a separate thread.Every time I launch Illustrator 30.x (that is, ever since v 30 was released), macOS Tahoe shows me the following alert (Illustrator would like to access data from other apps):If I press “Do now allow” (left button), then the home page of Illustrator is blank and the app will not work properly. No problem, though, I relaunch Illustrator and press “Allow”, thinking this would be it.In macOS, apps that asks for this specific permission are listed in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation, as shown here:As you can see, Acrobat got correctly added the first time it asked me to access data while, regardless of how many times I try, Illustrator doesn’t get added. Unfortunately, there is no +/- button to manually add an app to this list. Even assuming this would be a bug in macOS, it would be for Illustrator to solve this with Appl

The only workaround I've found is to save PSD as TIF and place it into illustrator file instead of PSD. It works, and I can see my spot colors again, but it is frustrating to have to reopen all PSD files and save them in different format. That happens since last update (30.3).

I’m trying to use the Mockup Beta feature in Illustrator, but it's missing for some reason, so I can’t do the mock-up product. Despite watching many tutorials, I still don’t know why. Just in case I did something wrong: I downloaded an image to use for the product then used my own artwork designed on Illustrator as a logo. Is this the correct procedure to use for a mock-up? Thank you.
