I want to create a logo 

Hi all,I’ve come across an illustration style that I really like and I’m trying to figure out how to recreate something similar in Adobe Illustrator. It has a [describe the style briefly – e.g., "bold, flat colour look with minimal linework" or "textured, hand-drawn feel with grain and shading"].Can anyone guide me on what tools, brushes, or techniques I should be using to get this look? Happy to share a reference image if needed. Thanks in advance!

When I want to use a pencil and I change the brush definition before I paint something, the settings automatically change to basic. How do I change this?

Everyone I look at on the internet gives me the same process to create a pressure sensitive brush tool.  Go to Brushes, click New Brush, switch the size to Pressure.  Simple enough.  Except that when I go to do that, every time I reach the part where I have to change the Size to Pressure, I can't click it.  It's not available.  Is there a way to turn it on?  I'm looking at people who have the same version of Illustrator as me and theirs is perfectly functional.

Why is Adobe Illustrator (28.0) asking to record my screen and audio? This makes no sense to me.Obviously I declined.

I have a background image that I want to take the vector text that is in front of it and mask it. I have done this in the past but now it seems to not be working. I end up with nothing visible inside my letters. Please see screen shots below. Btw I am on a Mac Version Sequoia 15.3.2 and Illustrator 29.4

Bonjour,comme mentionner dans le titre, il arrive parfois que sur certain montage vectoriel, le tracé affiche ne suive pas la forme qu'il devrais lorsque je zoom sur une tracer, cela est très pénible car je ne semble plus pouvoir modifier le tracer avec précision. J'ai essayer de change de mode d'affichage (cpu/gpu) mais cela ne change rien. J'ai également remarquer que sur certain angle je n'ai pas la possiblité d'arrondir l'angle.Quand cela arrive je vérifie s'il n'y aurais pas d'autre point d'encrage qui peuvent posé problème.Pour palier a ce problème des fois je déplacement légèrement le point mais cela ne fonctionne pas toujours. J'ai mis quelque capture d'écran pour montrer le problème. Je voudrais donc savoir s'il y a des moyens de régler cela.J'utilise actuelement la dernière version d'illustrator et tout les mises a jour ont été fait.Merci

Hey guys! I did this file on adobe cloud, then saved locally to my intel iMac. Everything works.However, when I opened both the cloud and local working file with M4Pro macbook, all the layers are there but none is visible. I tried changed colour, drag them, toggle the eyes (visibility). I do see outline during CPU Preview, but when changing back to GPU Preview then back to nothing.I wonder if there's any solution or it is a bug with Apple Silicon chip/ latest version of Illustrator? Would be  really appreciate if anyone could share your wisdom to help resolve the issue :') Thanks!

When I change the size of an object (example a circle) in properties to a complete number on registering that size the value changes after registration. Granted its small but nonetheless annoying. Is there a fix or is this just a Illustrator glitch we have to live with?

So I have some hidden layer inside a layer. How to select that main layer, while also selecting the hidden layer inside of it so I can move it around without having to manually unhiding it one by one then hiding it again?Thank you!

Hi, can I please get some help figuring out why my colors would be extremely dulled down compared to what is in the browser. I've created a new file 1920x1080px, RGB mode, 300dpi. Color settings are North american general purpose 2. I've attached a screenshot of what I'm dealing with. Not really sure why the vibrancy can get so dull in Illustrator.

Hi, I have previously made a logo with text around a circle with no problems. Top text was outside the circle, bottom text was insisde the circle. I have tried to do the exact same thing but there are no handles to edit the text after typing on a path. Ican move it around the circle, or inside or out at all.  I also cant see the highlighting over the text I have selected to change so never know which part of text I am at. Can anyone please help with this?

So this issue continues, for some unknown unsolved mystery ..Say I have an AI file, it's got some CMYK photos that are embedded. I save it as a 'Press-ready' PDF, with 'Preserve Illustrator editing capabilities' checked. It saves out to a 11 meg PDF. Yay! Prefect size for emailing. But wait.. oops.. I forgot i needed to edit a graphic in the AI file. So I go back to same AI file, change say a simple opacity on a graphic, do the EXACT SAME save as a Press-ready PDF, same settings as before, and now the PDF balloons to 297 megs!!!Pardon my French, but wtf. Makes no sense. It's as if Illustrator thinks about it and says to me - sorry for my oversight on the first PDF save, it's actualy quadruple the size.. my bad.Any and all insights appreciated. And btw - I cannot share this file or screenshots w tech support here - it's proprietary. 🙂

Hi, I have some lines which run horizontal. I'd like these to distort but look even within the space in the shape. I have used an object shape where I want the lines to follow the top path. The spacing feels a little out. If I then re-set with mesh I can edit further but the envelope mesh rows/columns fall in the wrong place.  If I create a rectangle and use the mesh tool and choose where the vertical lines are and then distort the outer edge to roughly match my previous shape, is it possible to 'replace mesh shape' with 'new mesh shape' Then perhaps this might to a better job distorting the lines so it feel equal. Or perhaps there's a better way, can anyone help? See attached file for ref

I frequently use this panel and for some time the angle field does not mirror the requested positional change. Example if the command is to move the object up the artboard the angle should read 90 degrees and on moving down should read -90 deg. In my app this so often fails to register. so I have to manually change the angle field adding time and irritation. Is this a know bug will it get fixed or is this a new issue? 

Hi friends, I have an Ipad and I really need to send the raw illustrator file to my client today. It just spins and doesnt do anything when i try export, when i share the file via a link its blank and then when I try and share it via creative cloud its also blank... i do not understand, someone help!!

I'm trying to create an a design using text that arches, but the text is never centred and can never be large enough to fill the path I've designated. In order to fit all the text, I have to minimize the size, but as you can see, there is still lots of room on the path, so I don't understand why making it a bit bigger in turns makes the words dissapear and I get an overset text error. Even with large text, it seems to me there should be room for the "to a" used in my example. How can I make the text go the whole way, while keeping it a decent size?  I think part of the issue is there is a lot of lost space as the text does not start at the beginning of the path, how can I fix this issue? I am not using a circle since I want the rounded rectangle look, so using the direct selection tool to adjust the angle of it so it appears centered/alinged does not work for this project.

When I export a PNG from AI and include artboards, I find that the exported art does not come out to the page dimensions I set in Illustrator, UNLESS the ppi is setto 72. For instance:AI page dimensions are 4800x4800pxExport PNG @ 72 ppi, open in PS and file dimensions are 4800x4800 @72 Pixels/inchExport PNG @ 150 ppi, open in PS and file dimensions are 10000x1000 @150 Pixels/inchExport PNG @300 ppi, open in PS and file dimensions are 20000x2000 @300 Pixels/inchwhen what I'm after is:Export PNG @300 ppi, open in PS and file dimensions are 4800x4800 @300 Pixels/inch because that's the requested size from the vendor. Now I can change it in Photoshop, but why doesn't it just export at the page dimensions and resolution to begin with?

I haven't used Illustrator for a few months (after like 25 years of using) and suddenly something changed. When I try to scale a Paragraph type part, it's aligning my text automatically and actually non-stop the way i would NOT like to align it. Vertically and Horizontally. It looks like an Ai way of aligning, but I definitely want this to control this on my own. ANyone a solution?
