Hey there I can't get rid of these red crosses that appear on my objects. It only happens when i resize them smaller. If i keep it large the red cross doesnt appear.  Can someone help me out and tell me how to get rid of that? Thanks!

I can't find anything related to this in the Illustrator Scripting docs.I would like to select a file and get a file path so I can do something with it in scripting.  Is this something that should just be done with standard js or does illustrator have a Select File Dialog box you can call?

HI, My Selection tool can't drag objects properly. If I drag one time the loader wheel on my mac pops up. I have to click again for something to happen and then it is like I am holding down the left click at all times. Have troubles in inDesign but After effects and Photoshop works fine. I am on a completely new Macbook Pro MAX M4 with Seqouia. This is a completely new computer from my company and I had another completely new Macbook PRO M4 just before this with the exact same problem. I have tried with and without mouse and different mice, and changing things in the app, I don't have any other applications installed (Like Magnet etc). I have also excluded security software to Illustrator. PLEASE HELP!

Greetings and salutations! I have the latest Illustrator version 29.4 running on Imac retina 2018, 64 RAM, MAC OS SEQUOIA 15.4.1 recently I had to work on multi page document, so I noticed an annoying bug: when I am making a new arboard by option clicking previous artboard, I can do it once but soon after the curson starts acting weird, and I cannot select artboard again, and when I switch to regular select tool it just starts not reacting, not selecting. SO I restart Illustrator and it works fine until I try to do it again, create new artboard and agaisnt it begins to act weird, really breaking work flow...

Hi, I double clicked an item in my library, an illustrator file. Here I made a few tweeks and saved it and closed the file.In the library it has not updated and is not reflected in other applications/links.How can I fix this?

Hi, I am having trouble exporting images as jpgs/pngs from illustrator. It feels no matter what I do when I go to export Save For Web (legacy) the image appears around 50% smaller than what I want it to be. I can open a 8.5 x 11 document, immediately go to Save For Web Legacy, and it will say that I am saving it out with those dimensions, but the preview and the saved image are clearly the wrong size. (I have also tried Export For Screens and it has the same results).  I have tried adjusting the dpi when I am making the file and thru Effect - Document Raster Settings but nothing changes the outcome. The dimensions of the file will say it is correct but the preview window and opening the actual image once it is saved shows something totally smaller.  any help would be appreciated, sorry if this was a poor description of my problem.

When saving a PNG with 34 characters in the file name to an iCloud Drive folder in Adobe Illustrator 29.5's Export > Save for Web (Legacy), I receive an error that reads: "Some names of the files being saved will be truncated to 31 characters for compatibility with Macintosh browsers. To change your filename compatibility options, click the Optimize pop-up menu, choose Edit Output Settings, and select Saving Files. [Cancel] [OK]" Clicking OK saves the file, with the name truncated. Happens every time, with multiple files whose file name exceeds 31 characters. macOS 15.4.1, M1 Pro MacBook Pro, 32GB RAM There is no "Optimize" pop-up menu with options for "Edit Output Settings" or "Saving Files." It appears this [truncation] function was imported from Photoshop's save for web code, without the dependent options to disable it, which are referenced in the error message. Adobe Technical Support was too frustrating to deal with, so I am turning here in hopes t

I have been struggling to find a way to do the following in javascript: 1) Open an .ai file that contains a shape (in this case its a warped rectangle)2) Place a PNG file3) Move the PNG file below the warped shape4) Perform an envelope distort (Make with Top Object) on the shape + PNG file This seems stupid simple, but I can't figure out a way to do the Make with Top Object envelope distort using javascript. Any help would be amazing. Thanks!

When using the polygon tool to draw rectangles, Illustrator is giving me slightly unsquare parallelograms. This happens both when specifying the exact size of a rectangle in the popup window or dragging the mouse to create a shape, either within a space defined by guides or not.  Don't know if this coincides with or predates updating Illustrator or OS as both recently occurred. I can't find a setting that controls this. Please help.

A video I have has two objects, one without any effects and the other with drop shadow and outer glow applied. After moving the objects, the effects one becomes pixelated. I checked my Raster Effects settings and is set high, with anti-alias. This was occuring in my main document, so I decided to make a new one with only these objects, but it still occurs. Any ideas?  This has been a recurring issue on other projects I've been working on. I'm using ver. 29.4 on an M4 Silicon Macbook Pro.

Hello,My problem with the navigator panel is when you open this windows the artboart and the project you I am working on it apperars very small, it shows you a big white space with the artboard in the right corner (approximately). It should shows you in the window all the artboard. Can you help me please?

Dear good people,I need your help on figure out the issues I've been having in this couple days.The problem is whenever I scale objects (using transform and type exact % like 200% bigger or smaller), then result of objects measurements comes out weirdly with numbers including decimals. This wouldn't happen when I make rectangle but it happens to the offset rectangles. I'm working in millimeter.Lets say, I create 10mm x 10mm rectangle, then I offset the rectangle path inward using path offset under object,  type in -1mm to make 8mm x 8mm box within 10mm x 10mm box.Then I go to transform and type in 500% so result should beOuter Box = 50mm x 50mmInner Box = 40mm x 40mmInstead I'm gettingOuter Box = 50mm x 50mmInner Box = 40mm x 40.001mmI just find out as ling as I make 8mm x 8mm box instead of offsetting -1mm from 10mm x 10mm rectangle then It works fine no matter how much I scale using transform.Another thing is that this occurs to any object I have getting weird decimal measuremen

Greetings! Ok, so my canvas colour is stuck as white. I already know you an change it via user interface, even when I mess with that and have it checked to match user interface (or whatever), its just stuck as white. When I open a new doccument, its the normal dark grey I enjoy, but for some reason in one file its just stuck as white. Anyone know whats going on?

When I go to open illustrator from my dock, the only thing that happens is I get a black blank screen. However I can open other ai documents and itll take me right into the workspace; I was even able to create a new file by going in through a previous one. The main issue is that the home page when you first open illustrator is not working/ broke. Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve???   {Renamed by MOD}

J'ai un fichier qui est complexe car j'ai une vingtaine de calques et beaucoup d'écriture sur chacun des calques et j'ai travaillé plusieurs heures sur un calque et j'ai enregistré toutes le sminutes mais quand j'ai rouvert le document j'avais perdu beaucoup d'informations sur ce calque. Il était incomplet.Je vois les informations sur la miniature sur la page d'accueil de illustrator mais quand le fichier s'ouvre ils n'y sont plus. Avez-vous déjà eu le cas ? Comment avez-vous gérer ? J'enregistre dans mon ordinateur directement. Avez vous des conseils ? Mon ordinateur est tout neuf et Apple dit que c'est le meilleur et en le testant ils ont vu que je en'utilisait pas toute la mémoire vive donc ce n'est pa sun prblème de puissance.Que puis-je faire s'il vous plait ? C'est un projet très important et pour l'instant j'ai juste continuer à travailler sur un autre fichier avec des calqu
