As someone who's been using Illustrator for nearly 40 years, I'm asking—no, pleading—that you make Illustrator accessibility compliant. A few days ago all of my fonts—both installed and activated—stopped appearing in the font-drop down menu in adobe illustrator and only adobe illustrator. They appear in both photoshop and in design, just not illustrator.Attempting to preview installed/activated fontsAttempting to preview Adobe Typekit fonts (yes creative cloud is on and active)Can't see the font name of text I've selected, but I CAN see the secondary selection "Light Italic Caption". Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to recreate this stunning stepped spiral design (see attached image). I love the blend of clean geometry, optical illusion, and rhythm created by the stepped lines spiraling inward. Hey all! I came across this brilliant visual and would love to recreate something in this style. The design plays with a warped, wave-like illusion using horizontal lines, but what really grabs me is the stepped/jagged edges on the sides, giving it that layered, glitchy depth. It feels like a mix of displacement, blend, or envelope distort—but I’m not sure where to begin. I'm working in Illustrator but can hop into Photoshop if that's more appropriate for this technique. Any tips or walkthroughs on how to build this effect, especially how the central "bulge" is formed and the jagged offsets are created, would be massively appreciated.

I was wondering if someone knew how to add a font from the fontbook on mac to illustrator. Ive been watching videos and still nothing on how to do it. If someone can help me out with this question that would be great.

Hello! I've created line drawing icons in Procreate, saved those files as PSDs, and then opened them in Illustrator with the hopes of exporting them as SVGs with transparent backgrounds. A few weeks ago I was able to export these transparent SVGs with no problem, but recently, everything has come out with a white background added in. I'm new to this but have seen people requesting workflow for solutions, so here's mine:- I right-click the PSD file in my downloads folder and click "open in illustrator"- I turn on the transparency grid, and check that the file has no background. It looks like this:  - I click "Export" > "Export As > SVG. Sometimes I click "use artboards," and sometimes I don't — I've been trying a couple different things. These are the settings the SVG exports with:- I click "OK," and the file appears as an .SVG, but when I upload it to Google Drive / drop the file into other softwares, it appears with a white background. I use Illustrator for my CNC/Laser cut work and havent had any problems till now; when i import DXF, there's no longer any GCODE for the machine to calculate/appears blank. When the same files are uploaded using a different software though, the GCODE is available. Whats gone wrong?

Ola, estou tebdo problema ao exportar alguns arquivos em JPG, eles estāo salvando vazio. Sāo imagens do memo arquivos e alguns salvam normal e outros nāo. Nunca me aconteceu isso e nao esrou sabendo o que pode ser. Ja fechei o programa, a reininciei tudo e nada. Algume consegue me ajudar?

The last two updated in Adobe do not save the last printer used and will not save the settings of "fit to page". PLEASE FIX. I make PDF's and print multiple daily and it's a HUGE time waster when I have to reselect the printer and click done and then change the page to fit and click done and then print.

Just take a look at the following screenshot of the Illustrator UI, and PLEASE do your job or quit! Why is this both called "appearance" but why I only have access to advanced options of strokes, and why do you throw your properties and options all over the place and not f*kn consolidate them so that I can find the bl**dy function that I am looking for all in the same place!?I had to search on the open sea of the internet - the help community search is just weak - for 15 minutes to learn how to change the fill opacity of a simple rectangle! Hello! First time poster here.I have a logo that has used stock art of lens flares which have the gradients set to fade into black. Is there a quick way to change all the blacks to white and change their opacity to 0 so there's no muddyness? Thanks for any suggestions in advance. 

We have roughly 55cards that all have the exact same text. The titles and backgrounds differ among the cards. So I've made just one AI with the different backgrounds and all the text as one copy in a layer on top. Now I can just hide each background layer and save as PDF. But even unchecking preserve editing capabilities, the file sizes let me know that it is still including the images and backgrounds for all the hidden layers. Doing a quick test and deleting all the hidden layers brings the file sizes done considerably.I was under the impression that saving as a PDF without editing capabilities only saved what was needed for that particular PDF. It seems I was wrong. Do I just have to keep deleting the hidden layers for each copy?      

I work for a company that places customer art on templates. We require that all images be embedded but sometimes we get one that is linked. When we open that file, we get the warning about missing links, etc. My question is can I re-link the image if I don't have access to the original source file? I was told that I can, but I don't see how that would be possible if I'm receiving the art file from someone who probably received it from someone else. Thanks for any info!

I would like to use Global lighting on all 3D objects in a scene in Illustrator. I have not found where I can do that. Any advice?

Hi guys,  I am trying to wrap some text around an object in illustrator and for some reason when I create a text wrap it shows up with the guidelines for the text wrap but there is no effect at all on the type.  I've done a video below, I've tried with the text above the object, other way around, on the same layer and on a different one. I've opened a new file to see if I can just do it with a basic object and new text. Same thing each time!!  Stressing as this is for some coursework!ThanksNic

I've noted on a few occasions that after saving a piece of work (as standard .AI, no special attributes)  that I've had images within clipping masks move. Tha mask itself stays in place but the image has moved upwards a significant amount within it. Not a bit, bit a lot. This has heppened on multiple pieces of work, both embedded images and linked. This doesnt seem to happen every time, but has been increasingly common.  Files are stored on the local HDD - However I've also had the same result on 2 different PCs when I took the file home to work on it on a memory stick. See example attached. 

I find it tedious to constantly rearrange layers to be a part of the same artwork or Artboard. So I don't jumble it along with the others., when I marquee select and move elements around, etc. So let's hope the devs make this a priority and implement this ASAP.

Illustrator 2025 is unresponsive. Artwork is visible. When I opened the Object header it opened properly but locked up.  

I have been using Illustrator on the same Mac for years. After one of the 2025 updates, images that I copy and paste (or drag) from websites or Outlook become corrupted within Illustrator. The images turn into jagged color lines like the below example.I can correct the color format in Photoshop to fix the issue when necessary. But most of the time the images are just for reference, so it would be great if they didn't randomly scramble. 

If you try to move the page with the  scroll bar, the Illustator gets stuck!! When will you fix it??

Illustrator was working fine a few days ago. Today, it crashes on launch with an, "Unknown error has occured, (25,700) Adobe Illustrator will now quit. I uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the computer several times and all updates are current. There is no problem starting other applications.

How do I change the page order / print order of artboards in Illustrator CS6? I know it was a much griped-about neglect in previous versions once artboards were introduced, but surely it has been fixed by now. It's just I can't figure out how to do it. It is not intuitive by any means.
