Illustrator 29.3.1/MacOS 15.3.2 When playing an action, it expands.... so that it visibly "walks" through every step.I have the Playback Options set to "Accelerated", so the walking is rapid, yet the action expands and I see the panel highlight every single step of the walk through. Am I missing something?I want to click play, and the action run while it stays collapsed. Is this not possible? I do not need to see the steps as they are performed, nor do I want "Button Mode" - Button mode lists ALL actions in ALL sets as a button, not a specifc set. With even the default set loaded, that's a lot of panel-filling buttons. If Button Mode honored sets, where I could collaps a set, then Button Mode would be okay - but that's not how it's ever worked.

Hi,   When an arrow key is pressed, the object on screen moves by 0.139 inch.   Is there any way to make it move by 0.125 inch?   Hosun  

Illy version 29.1. My artwork has undergone several file revisions over months. Across all revisions I've used clinet specified Pantone colors on objects in the file. From the start, each files has been set to CMYK color mode. In the newest file revision Illustrator changed all the spot colors to CMYK. The Pantone swatches are still in the Swatch window, but the shapes in the file are now all using CMYK color builds. This causesd a color shift on the latest print run. This same thing has happend to other members of my team. Specitic spot colors change to CMYK.  

Hello community.  I followed the instructions here to successfully create a box around my text: https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/19824/illustrator-auto-sized-text-box-with-shaded-background I'm able to change the text box color with ease. I'm not sure how to change the type fill color without affecting the text box color. Appreciate the help, tried to look it up but didnt find an answer.

 Is it possible to create an alert like this using extendscript or ScriptUI?Would be so excellent if there was a way to create non-modal alerts like this.

What is going on with strokes in Illustrator? When using strokes, you get weird jagged artifacts, and when converting strokes to outlines, the conversion is terribly imprecise half the time! We use Illustrator because of the precision it is supposed to offer - this has become incredibly frustrating and a time waste! The issues seemingly started when they began introducing the garbage AI tools in the software. I've fiddled with the stroke preferences, the file resolution, and so on, but - no luck.  Has anyone found a solution to the issues?

Hello yall! I've been running to an Illustrator issue, where when I try to open a file it flashes for a moment, and then I cannot see anything... the only fix thus far is to hold ctrl+shift when opeing AI then I am able to see any files. Also, I cannot drag AI files into the main home window to open them - I am recieveing an X when I do this! Anyone else run into this issue? TIA

i'm using Illustrator and I need to type in Portuguese/Spanish so i need to use accents like áàêEverywhere else on Mac OS if I long press the key I get an accent pop up, like this:In adobe products, this never shows up.Am i missing something here or does Adobe products don't let this native pop up show up?

how can I keep all my layers I created and put them all in a clipping group(a bounding box)when I try, all layers go into the clipping group here is a snapshot of the groups I created and then the clipping after that - which all my layers went into 

I drew this Logo in Illustrator, ttransformed them and saved as a SVG File. When I loaded it into my cutter Programm it looked like this, which makes it unusable as the overlapping shapes are recognized. This also happens on the Text. Do I have to adjust some settings or even draw the Logo different?Thanks in advance.

I've been going through the past, similar articles about trying to figure out which font has been used without any luck.I've opened the file in Notepad but it doesn't give any "font" "text" or "type" information.I've used the Match Font feature and it's giving me matches that look NOTHING like the font I'm trying to match.I've retyped the same phrase and arrowed down through every font available in Illustrator and Photoshop trying to find which one matched without any luck.The original file was created in 2022 using Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm trying to add another line of text now with the same font, and I can't figure this out for the life of me. Can anyone help? Do you recognize this font? The lower case "a" and the uppercase "e" both have difinitive shapes to them that I can't find in a similar font. This is a .jpg of the image I'm trying to work with, but I do have the .ai file on the computer. 

Dear Adobe Community, I'm facing an issue with the online ACP Illustrator exam on Pearson VUE's platform.Apparently I've attempted to take this exam twice already and got stuck at the exact same spot.The online exam uses the OnVUE app, which essentially connects to a VM, part 1 consists of theoretical questions, then part 2 involves Illustrator loading up on the VM with a "Certification Test" panel on the right hand side which is supposed to load up Tasks that need to be completed.Now, when I click on Next to access the first task, Illustrator promptly crashes and a "Please Wait..." screen is displayed. (Just like at the beginning of the exam.)As the proctors suggested, I've restarted the (latest version of) OnVUE app numerous times, rebooted my laptop 3 times, they restarted the session and I also refreshed it - to no avail. Once Illustrator has crashed, there seems to be no way to trigger its load up again in the exam.There has been a strange event also, namely that the Creative

Hi, I'm trying to design an iPhone app page in Illustrator and have to print it out true to the size of an iPhone. The file seems to be extremely big, and font sizes have to be very large. When I go to print, the artboard is extremely big, and I can't scale it to the paper or it won't be true to size. 

I have six illustrator files from 1993 that I had saved from a class I took then. I wanted to send the images to someone, but when I tried to open them, all I get is text files. I tried online conversion, but since the images are so old, they don't have suffixes and adding suffixes did not work. I refuse to give in to not being able to convert them, so does anyone have any suggestions?

why a lot of things like create object mosaic are grey and not working in illustrator

I wonder if anyone can assist. I want to change the size of a bounding box without scaling the image i.e the image must stay the same size and bounding box shape and size can change. (similar to cropping the image).  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

When I open any Illustrator file I get the alert below. How can I fix the problem?  

Hi everybody, I have a logo which was text but I turned the text into shapes. I am trying to modify the points on the shapes but I have found that the anchor points are in fact not just one shape! It’s hard to explain but when you move or delete an actor point you have to move three layers of it. The shape is repeated underneath twice. You can change the colour of one of them so I have turned it red in this example. The grey bits appear to be two shapes stuck together. Can anyone explain what is happening and how to make it just one shape? Thanks.
