Earlier, I posted in the CC Libraries four,m and it was suggested I post here:(After I posted this, I noticed that my Photoshop library items showed up when added. It seems to be AI that has the issue. I haven't tried any other Adobe apps.) When I create a new library and place a PNG in it, I notice that it shows as the CC logo instead of a preview of the item.  I tried creating a different library, but the same thing happened,  and when I placed the new item in an older library, the same thing happened. Complex items (layers, etc.) are also shown in the CC logo.  I have searched this forum and tried the suggested solutions to enable previews of my library items but to no avail. This is an ongoing issue, as there are multiple posts with the same issue going back to 2022 (maybe further).  The first I noticed this was yesterday. Hi everybody, I've gone to Preferences > Selection and Anchor Display...8 px width tolerance is just not enough. I'm having to still click bezier handles 3-4 times everytime I want to click.  Is there an alternative option or plugin available that can allow me to make the tolerance setting like...20px?

Looking to Extend a patch without having to purchase Astute Buddy

I'm suddenly having an unexplainable issue trying to create a pattern swatch in Illustrator. I have the invisible box on the lower layer, et al, but when I select all and drag it to my swatches panel the swatch appears with a lot of white surrounding a teeny tiny swatch in the middle (not repeating). When I try to then use the failed swatch the shape just appears empty. I can't figure out what's going wrong! Would anyone mind taking a look at the file and trying to see what the issue might be? Hi all -I'm trying to edit the pink stroke on this object, but the Color palette shows that no stroke is applied. How do I make this pink stroke editable?   

I'm trying to figure out how to read the XMP Title of a document, and compare it to the file name. I keep coming up empty on google, and their AI is recommending a function that doesn't exist as per usual.From what I'm seeing in the scripting documents, there is only:app.activeDocument.XMPStringHow do I just parse out the title? I keep getting results for Photoshop and InDesign, but those functions don't appear to cross over into Illustrator.<dc:title> <rdf:Alt> <rdf:li xml:lang="x-default">Untitled-2</rdf:li> </rdf:Alt> </dc:title> 

Hi - I'm very new to illustrator.  I've navigated placing my image (originally procreate) into illustrator, embedding it, and image tracing it with 'ignore white' ticked on to retain the transparency.  However, I've come across an issue in that as some parts of my design are white, these are now been 'ignored' too so I now have transparent areas within my design.  I don't really wish to have to re-touch up a design with white in and use a different colour?  I am confused as to why an image with a totally transparent background yet white in it (it all looked great when i did ctrl-shft-D) defaults to one with a white background if you don't have the ignore white ticked. Any advice appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello,I'm having an issue with my colors. And no, it's not a color management skill issue. My original file displays the colors I used. When I duplicate the same file, my colors suddenly change. They go from vibrant to dull. I made sure my colors were correct. Same RGB/HEX values. Both files are set to RGB. What kind of sorcery is this, Adobe? I haven't tried to export. I'm hoping the colors look the same. Regardless, this issue is annoying. Please see the images below. Same color, same RGB/HEX, set to RGB. All I want is for the colors to match. AGAIN, it's not a color management skill issue. It's an Adobe issue. Let me know what's going on here. Thank you,Unhappy Adobe Subscriber 

How Do I add Decimal Points in Illustrator 2025 Document Setup? A client needs a document size of 3.625 inches wide. I don't know how to add the third decimal point to the document in order to achieve this, and end up having to choose between 3.62 and 3.63 in document size. 

Adobe seems to be settling on Ctrl+Cmd+H to Hide applications on Mac (Photoshop, After Effects). Illustrator still has no default shortcut for this, but worse, we cannot use the Mac Ctrl key for any (?) shortcuts in Illustrator. This doesn't make sense to the user. Muscle memory for common actions like hiding should be respected and universalized across apps.

Illustrator freezes when the battery on my MacOS laptop gets low. However, it freezes in such a way that MacOS doesn't realize that the app is frozen. I have to go into Force Quit Applications and quit it manually. It's so annoying, I lose work all the time and I got so many "recovered" files on my laptop now it's insane... 

There has been tremendous requests to remove, or expand, the current size limits of the canvas in Illustrator in the following thread.https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/20395555-remove-canvas-size-lim… There was only one response from Adobe personnel in October 2017, and my understanding is they no longer are part of the project.Can we have someone from Adobe followup on this request since it has received a lot of votes.  I don't know if that feature request forum has been depreciated or not, or if feature requests should be made at a new site.Thank you.

I am in need of a reliable solution to manipulate pathItems in a one-to-many relationship similar to that of how a relational database works. I am open to any method as long as it adheres to the following requirements: The parent pathItem (“File 1”) must reside in a separate layer with unknown layer hierarchyExclusion of all other pageItems that are not pathItemsThe relational aspect of the pathItems would ideally be hidden from the end-userNames (pathItem.name) need to remain unchanged although could be temporarily manipulated“Assets” layer is to remain locked and will always be a top-level layer“Assets” layer pathItems (“File 1 Asset 1” and “File 2 Asset 1”) will always be hidden          My current workflow generates unique ID numbers and assigns them to the parent pathItem and children automatically. This has been going on for MANY years/versions of Illustrator and I've seen many posts here about the issue but it's yet to be resolved or have any work arounds.All you have to do to replicate the bug is to hit alt (don't even need to hold it) and assuming you're on a high refresh rate monitor you will instantly feel input lag and see the cursor moving at what appears to be 30fps or less, until you left click with mouse, then it will go back to normal. When you hit ALT there should be no difference in the rendering of the mouse cursor. It should feel and look just as smooth as before you hit ALT.While this isn't a program breaking bug it's still annoying nonetheless. When you're used to moving the mouse at a certain speed and you hit alt to duplicate or whatever you want to do the mouse instantly feels off/slow and it really breaks down the smoothness of the program to me since ALT is a very critical hotkey.Please work on fixing this next update.This happens on newest version 28 and ha

Illustrator 28.5, Mac I set up colour swatches, gave them custom names and added them to Libraries – where they are displaying names correctly. However, when I add them to swatches in a new Illustrator document, they are now losing their custom names and reverting to their CMYK values.

Hi all, Can you help me In illustator, my Graphs is not formating like colors size resize etc.I restart my illustator not formating is there some glitch or we cant do this . I installed the new version on this after that this glitch is occured ?  

Just noticed that text will not paste centered on the artboard... it pastes slightly to the left. (After cmd-0 to view full and centered artboard on Mac).Even stranger, this still happens even after the text has been converted to outlines....Other objects seem to be working fine.Hmmm.... any ideas how to fix?

I have created a library with multiple colours. Is it possible to use those colours in various files and if the colour is changed in the library then that colour will be updated in mulitple files that use it?

Hi! I'm trying to move an artwork from one page to another, and my pattern tile within the artwork isn't staying in the correct please! I've tried ticking/unticking the 'transform pattern' box, and resetting my settings incase i'd pressed something accidently. It's only recently become an issue, it's never done this before.   Please can anyone offer assitance as it's driving me insane!

Novice Adobe user here.  Just downloaded Illustrator for purpose of creating tee shirts.  Also downloaded an Adobe Stock font (?) called Good Vibes (retro 70's).  I see it in my Library but are the letters that appear an actual font?  If so, how do I use them?  Have tried to use some of the tutorials but getting frustrated with not finding the right answer.

Hi all, I’m experiencing an issue where the text and characters in the Color Picker interface are displaying much smaller than usual. I’ve checked the UI Scaling settings in Preferences, and it’s already set to the far-left (Small), but the issue persists. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any advice on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated! Attached is a photo reference.
