Im using Adobe Illustor 2020, and I cannot move objects. Everything is Updated, also to note I am on a school computer so I do not have admin privilages.

I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do on my end from the help blogs but some options I do not see From the Adobe help page, it says I should:You can choose between available composers from the Paragraph panel menu (Windows > Paragraph > panel menu). For example, you can use the Middle Eastern & South Asian Single-Line Composer or Middle Eastern & the South Asian Every-Line Composer. But I do not see any Middle Eastern composer...  That blog post also says I can do the following:To create content in Arabic and Hebrew, you can make the right-to-left (RTL) direction the default text direction. However, for documents that include left-to-right (LTR) text, you can now seamlessly switch between the two directions.Select the paragraph direction from the Paragraph panel. I do not see that option at all:  What am I doing wrong??? Is it possible to reshape with the Direct Selection tool and constrain the handles in abstract directions, not just the standard multiples of 45?

Hi,I've been dealing with a frustrating issue for a while, and nothing seems to solve it. I've tried uninstalling and resetting the settings, but the problem persists.When I change the font of a word in an existing document, any attempt to edit that word causes it to revert back to the original font.For example (see photo), the word Appetizers was originally written in Futura. After changing it to Gotham, adding characters in the middle or end of the word makes it switch back to Futura.This started happening a couple of weeks ago out of nowhere.Please, PLEASE help me solve this! 

anyone kknows how to reset all of illustrator setings, printing preferences, color swatches etc, etc, all at once without re-installing the software?

I have a small business I'm trying to grow. We recently bought a muse vinyl cutter to letter dirt track race cars, does anyone know if I can use Illustrator with the Muse cutter?

Illustrator not opening any file, even new ones. When i click new file, i see the Loading process, but it always crashes after some % loading.I tried to uninstall, reinstall, rename UXP, modify printer settings, modify windows display settings... install an older version, but nothing seem to work. Please help !

I'm hoping I'm not the only one experiencing this? Currently running Illustrator 29.1 (awaiting to install 29.2.1) on Intel i5 2020 iMac 27" with Sequoia 15.2. For the last few weeks, I've noticed that when editing or adding to existing text, any new content that I add is added in another font entirely - in this video, when I add to existing text in American Typewriter, new text is added in Helvetica! It's not just reverting to Helvetica, I've had it revert to Gotham, Avenir, Times New Roman (and a few more which I can't name). This problem does not seem to be linked to specific font coding e.g. OpenType; as it is happens to locally installed TrueType and Adobe cloud-hosted fonts too. I've seen guidance of it being localised to 29.1, and to revert back to 29.0 while the issue is looked at; however I started having the problem while I had 29.0 installed. Any advice woud be miuch appreciated - thanks.

anybody facing this issue, I have been tried with Ai 2021,2022,2024, and 2025 version with same OS and even the OS installed with new SSD, still same problem of not responding, like when working with AI, and inbetween gets stuck, then Force Quit again same. it not like a small file or heavy file all same issues. anybody can help for this?

Title says it all, really. If I make a colour while the outline colour box thinggie is selected and drag it into the swatch palette - either from the colour palette or from upper part of the swatch palette, Illustrator instantly quits without warning. Lost a lot of work the first time it happened - it seems Illustrator hadn't saved any recovery data for 40 mins or more for some reason. Mac M4 Pro, SequoiaIllustrator 29.2

I'm sure there is an easy fix to this that I'm just not seeing. I've been working in illustrator all day and I must have hit something or changed a setting by mistake becuase now I am not able to change the size of any of my symbols or obejcts other than the use the "scale" tool.for example I am highlighting areas on a map right now and some of the block faces I just placed a transparent square. Normally I can rotate and stretch a object like that when I click on it. But now when I click on it I'm alowed to move it but not rotate it or stretch it. I feel like I've tried everything and it must be something so simple.I tired shutting down Illustrator and reopening and opening different files the same problem remains.Any help?

Hello, I have a problem, I have 25 drawing boards in illustrator and the file is saved as .ai, I want to export to single pdf for each drawing board, I've done it with export for screens, but the problem is that when I open the created pdf again into illustrator I see again all the 25 drawing boards and not the one that I exported in this pdf, it's very annoying, then I have to delete the drawing boards that I don't need. Anyone has a solution? Thank you!

Hi Guys, I'm reaching out to you because I'm struggling with a problem. Here's the data:1. I have a set of three circles (diameter 485 mm, 490 mm and 495 mm) that are dead-on concentric. Ruler has been zeroed on the center. 2. Their sizes are evenly distributed: +5mm in diameter each time, so 0.25mm in radius from one to the next. This means, the space between the inner and outer circles is 5 mm. 3. There's another small circle at 3 o'clock (5mm in diameter) whose center is vertically aligned with the center of the three big circles. THE GOAL: I need the small circle to be positionned 8° above his original 3 o'clock position, following the perimeter of the circles, so that the small circle remains exactly between the inner and outer circles. THE PROBLEM: When i realize a parametric rotation of 8° using the center of the three circles, the small circle is slightly OFF the inner and outer circles (see printscreens). Hi there I have some difficulties aligning different sized text with the "Vertical Align Bottom" button. Instead of aligning the baseline of the text, it aligns the outlines of the textbox. I have played with "Align to glyph bounds" and "use preview bounds", but nothing seems to work. I also have the feeling that this problem only arose after the update to the new Illustrator version. Does anyone have a tip on how to solve this? 

I will use Adobe Illustrator to create the source files and then export the graphics in SVG format.this SVG file will be part of a widget used in a web page. the widget will allow you to analyze the state of a storage battery and the individual cells.i have never produced SVG files for this purpose. I like to know what the best practices are and if there are any specific tutorials.thx

I need to create a pattern of increasingly flattened sigmoid curves, I tried the arch tool and the blend tool, but so far I haven't found a way of automating it in a way that is clean and doesn't require me manually constructing each curve. Is there maybe a function that can reproduce this result?(I also tried the blend tool with more inbetween steps but it doesn't work, and it doesn't look clean at all) In case this info is needed, a sigmoid curve is an s-shaped graph belonging to the sigmoid function: 

Some Background:I am working on a project involving cards for a board game. The file includes multiple layers, 12 of which are the different pages of cards, and there are 16 cards per page for a total of 192 cards comprising roughly 700 individual text boxes. Lots of copying and pasting and small format changes and handoffs in a file that I've been working in for a decade, so I wouldn't be surprised if the file is corrupted in some way, especially since I have not been able to duplicate the issue in a different file as of yet. The Issue:When working with text boxes (in this PDF file), Illustrator no longer automatically formats the typeface and font of my typing to match whatever formatting I have already assigned to the text box. In other words, let's say I have a text box that says "Happy birthday!" in 12 pt Motiva Sans (italic), but then I double-click the text box and change it to say "Happy freaking birthday!", now "freaking" shows up in 12 pt Myriad Pro (regular) for absolut

E também quando vou mover algum objeto no Illustrator, ele cria um quadro branco ao redor! Alguém tá com esse problema?

I have an issue with PNG files... I don't know how the program interprets the files, or if it's a fault with my video card.Has anyone had something similar happen to them, could you help me? I don't know if I need to fix something in the Illustrator configuration or if it's time to buy a new card (I hope not) 

I've encounted a stange issue in illustrator. I'm working in a file and the colours are randonly shifting. Not just visually on the monitor. But the colour values within the swatches too.  Illustrator 27.9, windows. Screenshots from versions of the same file. All are open simultaneously so this seems to be file specific.V3 is the original.  (Yellow = #FFF200)V4 is where the issue was first noticed (Yellow = #FFD000)V5 is a new file this morning, trying to restore the work and now the colours have shifted again. (Now Yellow = #FFE700)The V3 yellow matches the yellow when you open a new file: I'm working on an A3 sheet but set the template to RGB.The file has not changed to CYMK.  Colour mode still shows RGBColour Settings are the same across all files.No proofing has been activated.Anyone else had this issue? Anyone know how to restore these?  

I'm trying to place copies of a PNG into an artboard to get a uniform background color, but I can't figure out how to blend the color line between the images--which is seen at the bottom of the image which is the bottom of the artboard. Am I having trouble blending because these are PNGs? Thanks for any suggestions.

When I try to start Adobe Illustrator after the most recent updates, when I click the icon to load it, when I go into Creative Cloud to load it, or when I click on an .ai file to load it, I get the blue circle next to my mouse cursor, but it doesn't start. It appears in my Task Manager list -- once for each time I try to load the program! -- but it doesn't bring up the loading screen at all. It just... stops. I have the latest updates for Windows 10, version 21H1. I've used the cleaner tool to completely remove it and when I did, it did start. But then I needed to restart my computer and we're back to not loading. I tried the tool again, and now even that isn't helping. I've searched for the help others have gotten on here. I've tried making the program an exception in my anti-virus. I've tried turning the anti-virus right off and trying to load it. I'm running out of ideas and patience for a program I've paid a lot more for and will apparently have to keep paying for -- I'm payin
