I have an illustrator file with just one layer. It contains 4 separate blocks / pages which will come together at the printing press to create an embossed flyer (printed in multiple stages, hence the 4 separate pages). The printer only accepts PDF files. When saving the Illustrator files as PDF, the last two pages disappear.  The file is super simple, the first two pages are the base CYMK colour with no text or images. These export to PDF perfectly. The last two pages contain the rasterised images. These do not export at all, they just cease to exist. I've attached a screentshot of the Illustrator page.  Any ideas?

I've been trying to discover a way to apply the following halftone effect to text in Illustrator 2019:I've got Photoshop, and I can accomplish this in Photoshop, then expand or live trace the resultant image in Illustrator for a scalable vector, but I'm certain that this functionality has got to baked into Illustrator somewhere, and I'm just missing it.Embarrassingly for Adobe, the above image is from a simple tutorial for a free Windows vector editor called Inkscape. It's strange to think that I could download a free app in Windows via Parallels and pretty easily accomplish this, but I can't seem to get it done in the $250/yr Adobe software? Someone, please tell me I'm wrong.Thanks for any help/guidance!Matt

HiMy current installed version says 27.0 and says is up to date but i seen 27.9 should be the current version.Why am i not up to date? thanksMike 

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new Adobe license and immediately started working as usual. A few weeks before Illustrator updated to its latest version, every time I opened a file or tried to create a new one from scratch, the program would show a white overlay, freeze, and load indefinitely. I've missed important deadlines and continue to miss them, having to rely on other solutions or use different computers. I would like help resolving this issue, as I haven't found any solutions through my research. I've tried downloading both the latest and previous versions of the program, but the problem persists. My PC:AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon GraphicsRam 16,0 GBRX 6750XT Gaming XFX Graphics Card AMD Radeon, 12GB GDDR6, Ray tracing, Fidelity FX - RX-675TMBAF9

Hi,I am importing a image into illustrator and when I close the file and reopen it - it changes the links to <Clip Group> -> <Image>Why is it doing this and hoe can I disable it??Thanks

Hello ! I would like to know if there is a parameter in order to : when you duplicate a layer, the name of the layer don't change ? For example : I want to duplicate the layer "My layer". But, I don't want that my new layer is called "My layer - copy".Is-it possible ? Thank you for your answer

I am having some trouble with maintaining page size (artboard size?) of .pdf's that I create using Illustrator.  I made an illustrator document with an artboard size of 57.5 x 12.5 inches, and I need it to be printed at that exact size.  However, when I save as a .pdf and view the page size in adobe reader, it says the page size 22.64 x 4.93 inches.  What am I missing when I am saving my file as a pdf that is causing the page size to change?  Thanks in advance!

I can't install Adobe illustrator (error 717) on my windows 11 latest version and my IE is also latest version. How to fix it? 

Today I was working on a client project and kept having an issue I've never had before. Every new line or object I make goes to the bottom of the layer, sometimes on a wrong layer underneath the one I'm working in, seemingly randomly. Another example is that I'm copying an object with alt key, and the new object goes underneath the copied object when before it's gone on top. When copy pasting objects the pasted object appears on a random layer below the layer I copied it from. I couldnt even use brush tool on a layer I wanted. The lines I drew all appeared somewhere else. I had a rectangle as background color, locked. The objects, if I managed to make them in the desired layer, would appear underneath the locked layer. Can anyone recognize what's going on and help?

 

Helllo.  I have a new issue where Illustrator crashes after I attempt to open the Windows>3D and Materials panel.  It also crashes when I try to use Effect>3D and Materials>[etc]I've uninstalled/reinstalled.  Downgraded to earlier versions.  Reset preferences.  Even did a registery clean.  Updated ot the latest version (again).  Rebooted after each adjustment.Checked GPU drivers.  Checked for Windows updates.  No updates needed.No changes made to PC (which is 2 yrs old with plenty of RAM and GPU performance).Experiencing the same each time.  CC opens.  All other Adobe products work as expected (Photoshop, Premiere).  Illustrator opens fine and all feature I use do function without issue.... Until I try to use 3D and Materials. Any help is greatly apprecaited! -SteveIt has worked in the past.

Why is my mask going to other artboards?

He estado trabajando varios dias en un archivo de ilustrator en la nube de adobe (.aic). Esta mañana retomé el trabajo, pero Illustrator se quedó bloqueado y luego se reinició mi computadora (una imac casi nueva), y ahora el archivo parece como lo dejé hace dos días. No puedo creer que perdí todo el trabajo de ayer!!!! A pesar de que guardé innumerables veces! Icloud me muestra el archivo y dice que lo edité "anteayer". como puedo acceder al archivo recuperado?? por favor ayuda gracias

How can I remove a white background of a jpeg in illustrator?

Is anyone else having trouble exporting files to PNG? My export window keeps closing by itself and I can't save my files. Has anyone seen any bug reports about this?

Hello, Illustrator just crashed, no error, no nothing. I lost two hours of work. There are no restored files. Nothing. Just lost all my work. I can just f*cking start over. Fix your buggy software, Adobe. 

How can I cut a section out of an SVG file and save it to a new file, including the paths? If needed, should I export it as PNG and then convert the PNG back to SVG Help would be great

Hola, como podrán ver, dentro de Ilustrador los colores no me aparecen como son normalmente, yo no he cambiado ningún perfil o ajuste de color previamente. Pueden ver que los colores de muestra aparecen más oscuros. A pesar de eso, al exportar los colores me aparecen bien, alguien que tenga una solución? 

Hi, i know its not the correct way to work but.... Is it possible to package a an Adobe Illustartor Creative Cloud file to another folder on my creative cloud?

Something weird was happening so I reset preferences. In order for it to take effect I had to restart Illustrator and when I reopened a file all my work outside the artboard has gone missing. Am I crazy?  

Say I have a 100 circles in different sizes, and I want illustrator to organize them for me, instead of moving them one by one. Does anyone know a way (script maybe?) to organize them so they are spreaded on the sheet with a defined gap inbetween them, so they dont overlap?Thanks:)
