Questions

Hi,I am trying to create a type style logo that shows all the anchor point handles used to create it, and am failing to find an option to view all handles at once on an object. When more than one point of an object is selected using the direct selection tool handles begin disappearing, so I cannot use print screen for a quick solution. Does anyone know of a way to show all handles of an object at once, or better yet, render them out along with the image?

I upgraded my Os since Illustrator started crashing as soon as I open and select "New file" select the size and click Create. This is so annoying I am running latest AI

Hi,I'm writing a Photoshop and Illustrator extension and I'm tryting to find the Javascript code that will open the standard colorpicker in Illustrator. Does anyone know the correct Javascript code I need to call in Illustrator to open the standard Illustrator colorpicker from a JSX file?In Photoshop the call is -  app.showColorPicker() - which works fine, but I cannot find an equivalent call for Illustrator. I  do have a copy of the Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 Scripting reference (latest I could find on the internet) - which publishes the following command to open a colorpicker in Illustrator$.colorPicker()The problem is that this command (with the dollar sign) only opens an old legacy colorpicker and not the standard colorpicker that people expect to use- see image (the old legacy colorpicker that opens is the one on the right - but I need to open the colorpicker on the left)i.is.cc/2D3xWNmK.png  thanks in advance

My set up:Illustrator 2025 (happens on my 2024 version as well)Wacom CintiqMac mini running M1 chip Regardless of which tool I choose AND reguardless of whether I'm using my mouse or Wacom pen, it keeps switching to the hand tool. Smashing my space bar seems to undo it for a moment and then it comes back making work almost impossible.I've seen many suggestions that it is my keyboard but it only happens in Illustrator and not when I am working in any other program which points to an Adobe issue.  I would certainly notice if my space bar were stuck in any other program. Additional info: I purchased and downloaded brushes for Illustrator and shortly after adding them the problem started. Don't know if it's a coincidence. 

Help! I have got Illustrator on a 7 day free trial and I already have problems. Much of the toolbar is greyed out and I cannot use most of the tools! I have looked for advice and changed from basic to advanced and back many times, tried resetting essentials,  the greyed out tools won't drag onto the displayed tool bar. What else can I try? This is so frustrating and not a great start for a beginner!

Bonjour! Je deviens folle, si quelqu'un sait me donner un coup de main 😊 Je dois réaliser des découpes sur un plotter, mais à force de manipulation, mon dessin vectoriel a, par endroit, des doubles voir triple traits superposés. Ce qui est fort problématique, car dans ce cas, mon plotter passe 2 à 3 fois au même endroit, ce qui abime tout. J'ai tout testé avec le pathfinder et autre, mais impossible de trouver: Comment supprimer les tracés doubles ou triples superposés? Merci!

Hello Adobe Community! I've been having this issue for quite a while and can't find an answer online. Every time I open an Illustrator file which contains placed images I get "An error occured trying to read the linked file". Its been like this for months now, everytime i think they are going to fix it is not fixed, I cant chose any options between inside or outside, Its like blank, as if the buttons where disabled. I tried doing it on everything, text a path a shape nothing works. 

I'm using Ai 29.1 - There're some texts on paths that I've created on previopus Ai versions. Now the issue is when i move these texts. the alignment of the text changes to be similar or exactly like (gravity) option, despite it's on (rainbow) option.tried to change it from (type on a path options) but it gives same result for both (rainbow) and (gravity) options.

How can I create different bleed sizes on different artboards in one document?

Hi, I have a Pantone color object in Illustrator. I didn't create it myself, I received it for a graphic work use.When I export it to different formats (PDF, JPG, PNG, etc.) it becomes faded - see pictures below. It also happens when I copy and paste into InDesign. What can be the reason and what can I do? Thanks

hello everyone!I'm a beginner in Adobe Illustrator. I can not upload the jpg file i export frome illustrator on Instagram or Behance. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm trying to export a file as PNG/JPG from Illustrator, but I'm having an issue. Even though I select the 'Use Artboards' option, the exported file includes the bleed area instead of being limited to the artboard size. I've already tried reinstalling the program, but the problem persists. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Beginner problem here. I was following a tutorial on how to make this cartoony text and was wondering how I could have 2 seperate colors for different parts of the texts. I've attached a screen shot.

I am having an issue when I open a multipage pdf, and choose to open all pages as links, the "crop to" preference isn't maintained. Here is an examples: I open a 8-page pdf in Ilustrator with the "All" pages selected, as well as the checkmark for "Import PDF pages as links". The artboards show each page with the bleed and crop marks of the original file, as thought the option as "Crop to:" was set to "Media". The problem comes when I save and open the file up again at a later time, the links to the pdf pages are now showing as though the "Crop to:" was set to "Trim" and they have all been resized to the size of the original "Media" size, throwing everything off. I realize a work around would be to use the "Place" function instead, but that becomes unproductive when I am working with pdf's with 30+ pages. Any help would be appreciated.

When utilizing Pantone swatches (from my created CC Library or directly from Pantone Connect) they appear as RGB color mode in the swatch palette of my document rather than LAB. My Illustrator document color profile is set to CMYK. I do not have this problem in Indesign. Indesign preserves the LAB color mode on these same swatches. Can I fix this and how?

I've had illustrator crash before, usually over a file that was too large/too many anchor points, but this one doesn't have many at all, it also used to always save files as [Recovered] and never lost much work because of this, but after updating my mac software and illustrator software recently, the program crashed once, and froze the next time, with absolutley no auto save or recoverey to be found, many hours of work lost. Firstly i have the scratch disk on an external SSD, and i also have my settings so that it should auto save on crashes, this happened twice in the space of a few days, any help much appreciated, screenshots attached

Every time I change the pen tool to basic .25 thickness and go to click on artboard, it switches back to calligraphy 1pt. And yes, I have the appearance thing clicked OFF. I have the newest version of Ai. This was also happening with the older versions, and when I initially upgraded to this version, this problem was fixed. It was great! But alas, the problem is back and is driving me absolutely CRAAAZY! Please help!!

Hi; since this past Friday, I have been unable to properly copy-paste text formatted within Illustrator and maintain the formatting (font, size, kerning, etc.). I have never encountered anything like this in nearly 30 years of using AI.  When I use the Type Tool cursor to select formatted live text, and then copy-paste into another line of text or text box with existing content, the pasted text takes on whatever formatting is present at the point of insertion, over-riding the previous formatting that I want to keep. When I copy-paste formatted text into a new text line or text box, the font and type size is converted to default Myriad Pro Regular 12 pt. Issues 1 and 2 also occur when cutting text and pasting, and also when using "Paste without Formatting." When I use the Selection Tool to select-copy-paste an entire text object, the formatting is retained. My other computer is a 2017 iMac running OS Big Sur (11.36) and Illustrator 2022 (26.1) – o

I just want Illustrator to stay maximized the whole time, but any time I try and open a file, it resizes and shows portions of my desktop. It's so annoying. Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? I am on Windows 10 using two monitors, if that helps.

Illustrator 2024 is not detecting my Quadro RTX 4000 GPU.  Illustrator 2023 had no issues using my GPU.  Machine is Win 10 64 bit.   Photoshop 2024 has no problem recognizing and using this same GPU.  Solutions already tried:-  Update all Nvidia drivers to most-current-  Modified Nvidia control panel 3D Settings to force OpenGL rendering to GPU for all applications.- Set graphics performance performance in Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics Settings for both Illustrator and AISniffer Interface Binder to "High Performance" Machine was rebooted after every solution attempt.  I'm looking for anything else to try here.
