Hello everyone, can I have a request from people who can make scripts? I need a script that will create an artboard for each object or group I choose and then create a pdf according to my pdf profile. Like this:1- It will create a separate artboard for each object or group I select. It will delete the old artboard. The resulting artboards should also include the stroke thickness in the artboard. Artboard numbers should start from 1. 2- It will save all artboards separated according to my pdf profile.The name of my PDF profile is "CTP-PDF". It should detect and save this profile.The resulting PDFs should be created in a folder named "CTP-PDF" in the location of the illustrator document and saved in it.The names of the PDFs should be (name of the ai document)_(artboard number). I would be happier if the PDF name was (first 6 digits of the document name)_(artboard number) if possible. If anyone can do it, thank you very much in advance. It will come in handy as I use i

It doesn't matter if I'm trying to scale one object or multiples. I will select the objects, go to Transform Each, and Illustrator locks. Can't do anything with the file; I have to Force Quit Illustrator. I'm using the most recent version: 28.6.

Hi,  I am using Illustrator version 27.6.1.  I have an .ai file with a single artboard sized 504 wide by 130 pixels high.  On this artboard, I have a rectangle drawn at this same size (504 wide by 130 pixels high) with a 4 pt black stroke aligned to the inside, which covers the entire artboard.  On top of this rectangle, I have pasted my company logo, which I copied from an .eps file. Earlier today, I went to File | Save As, and chose *.SVGZ (SVG Compressed) as my Save As Type.  Doing this with the default options (whatever they were at that time) resulted in a file with the .SVGZ extension that was 17 KB in size with excellent image quality.  I imported this .SVGZ file into a third party application I use, and it worked perfectly inside this application.  (Basically, I was following the recommended method for importing a logo into this application; the imported logo appears on several diffrent reports within the application). Next, I c

How do you not have the outline of the circle behind the letters?   I drew a circle --> copied it --> locked the first layer --> typed on the path of the second layer --> centred it -->set path's baseline to centre.   I would appreciate your advice.

They had it in the 3D classic but I don't see it in the current one and I'm having trouble getting my graphic to fit on my 3D shape. The scale artwork tool seems to have disappeared in the new version?  Screenshot from the old workspace.

Hi everyoneFor some time now, I have been experiencing problems with image links.When I open a file with links (previously packaged with all the links in the Links folder), it asks me to relink many of the images. It always asks me to do this, even though I saved it with the correct links. Additionally, it randomly piles up many images in various places on the artboard and duplicates links. I am using Mac Sonoma 14.6 M2 Pro and Adobe Illustrator 28.6. How can I fix this? cause when i have too mucho links it cause me a lot of problems 😕😕

Hi! I use a cnc cutter with illustrator files. My files need to have the traceable lines around the edge only (not on the inside). I have this open heart shape that I did make and expand. Then added a stroke. At that point there is usually the original lines on the inside and I use merge. But not working. When I try to select and delete that inside line, the stroke goes away. Buenas noches disculpen estoy aprendiendo a usar AI soy usuaria de Corel el punto es que existe una acción en corel que se llama crear limites se encontraria practicamente en lo que en AI es buscatrazos quisiera saber en Ai como lograria esa accion lo que esa herramienta hace es que me permite tomar varias formas que se esten tocando y hacer un margen practicamente seria mas o menos  como unificar pero lo que hace es un duplicado de puros margenes sin tocar el diseño original,  si alguien sabe como realizarlo le  agradeceria que me compartiera ese  conocimiento por favor.

I design large format graphics for the tradeshow indsutry and files are MASSIVE. Right now I am running a 2017 iMac that no longer can update the IOS...with:Processor: 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3I also cast to a 2nd monitor just some crappy Samsung...I usually leave my CADs and email etc on that monitor and use my 27" iMac to for my Adobe software. My IOS no longer updates and I am struggling and must make this purchase in the next few days. Hi!I work with Illustrator for a while now but I'm still kind of a beginner. So yesterday suddenly a problem accured and I wasn't able to fix it, maybe you can help me.So normally, when I dial an object or text field, the frame gets these little white boxes in the corners with which you can scale the object (when moving the cursor over the corners there will accure a little arrow, I hope you know what I mean). I don't know why, but when I dial an object now, the corners don't change (they stay in the colour of the frame and when moving the cursor over them there will accure the word "anchor"). So with my limited skills I'm suddenly not able to scale any objects or text fields anymore, which makes working impossible.I probably just changed something in the settings, but don't know what or where. I apologize for my bad english and hope you can understand and hopefully help me 🙂Greetings

Hello,    I was so exited when I discoverd the Retype-tool, however, I can't get it to work at all. I select the image (or the outlined text if it's in vector), and I click enter and all I get is this:  Super bummed, cause it would be so usefull if I could get it to work. Any suggestions?

In Illustrator, my current artboard randomly changes orientation. It's driving me nuts! Has anyone else experienced this?  Is this a bug in the program or a setting?

Need Help!  I have a square image and I used a circle to make a clipping mask of said image. The circle is now 23".  I now want to take 20" circle on top and use the pathfinder option to subtract it leaving me with a 3" 'border.    I did this sucessfully last week.  For some reason today, its not working.  When I select the subtract option, it is placing the original square back. What am I doing wrong here?  

Hi, I wanted to make this jello-shaped illustration. I finished up with lines, but when I clicked on 'fill', it looked like 2nd image. I tried Pathfinder as well, but didn't work as well. What should I do to fill up the empty part?

Hello, I'm confused with the blend tool here -- I want to create the lines with the same direction (straight  from right to left) but the whole blend shoud be curved. Like it this picture on the left. I tried blend with Replace spine, I applied the Free transform - but it's not right (picture on the right) Can you advise, please?
