Hi, I am working on a project where I am importing a map from QGIS into Illustrator to edit labels and other things. When I export the PDF from QGIS and open it in preview or other apps, it appears normal. However, when I open it in Illustrator, it is missing. I have attached pictures:  Missing border on east side in Illustrator,  Border appears in preview and other apps.  I've tried exporting from QGIS as a SVG and the border is missing entirely when opened in Illustrator. Please help!!

Below is the object I want to create, but when I try to combine both objects, ugly triangles appear above it. How can I combine both objects without changing their colors? If I use the shape builder tool, only one color shows up. I want to keep both colors, yellow and blue. Please help me. Your help is appreciated.

I have a Huion Kamvas 24 pro and no matter what the option for pen pressure is always greyed out in Adobe Illustrator .... I can use it in every other program including Photoshop but not illustrator... this is extremely frustrating... my driver is fully updated for huon and I have Illustrator's latest version

My artboard is crooked and when i draw a box on it is crooked too- how do i fix this? Its cc 2018!

My illustrator since I downloaded it has been very bad, at the moment it is buggy and does not let me edit the artboards, I even had to restart my PC. The bug happens with all the tools and just with the passing of the hours it fixes itself, but I'm tired.

For some reason, glyphs are not applying to characters, no matter what font I'm working in. I've never had this problem before. I've checked everything I can think of, and have rebooted, restarted, etc. Any insight would be appreciated!

When I create an image and save it as an SVG, its size is specified in px. Illustrator uses a conversion factor of 72 dpi to convert the artboard and artwork sizes. If I create an artboard that's 100x100 mm, the SVG will render its size as: width="283.46px" height="283.46px" This creates problems, because other programs use a different assumption for dpi (often 96 instead of 72), so when I import an SVG, it will be rendered a factor of 72/96 too small. This conversion factor cannot be changed in Illustrator.In the Save options dialog, when I check the 'Responsive' check box, the units are removed from the viewport size. In other programs, I can export SVG files with absolute units (viewport set to mm instead of px), which avoids this issue. There are 2 ways to solve this:1. add an option to specify SVG sizes in absolute units.2 .allow us to change the dpi setting.

This must be so simple but it's eluding me.  Can someone please point me in the right direction, in terms of how best to achieve this? Presently I have a black rectangle the size of my artboard.  There is a slightly smaller white rectangle on top, feathered.  I thought maybe I could combine these to make the white area transparrent and export with transparrency to use it as a soft edged mask in a media server. I'm fine with exporting, but I'm struggling to combine the black and the white shape as one, to make the white area punch out.  I have been trying to use a knockout group but I think I misunderstood how this worked.

Is there a way, some option, to force Illustrator to ALWAYS create a "Spine" when creating a Blend?I would like to experiment with Blend option where by pulling on the Anchor points, we can use Bezier curves to change the default "uniform" spacingf between the steps. I tried different things to no avail.I tried creating the Blend using both the Blend tool and the Path > Blend command but both did not give me a Spine? I can force Illustrator to "change" Spine after the fact, by drawing a line and using the command "Replace Spine" but that sort of gives "unpredictable" results. Here's the shape I'm trying to recreate:As you can see, it's a series of "L-shape" wedges. The green lines on the right show that the spacing between each elements is not constant? So, in principles, this is not a job for Blends but if I could experiment with a Spine, perhaps I can force the spacing to change? I have not gotten the stroke thickness quite right in this screen capture but it's showing you what is

Hello!I have an Illustrator file with 10 artboards.Up until yesterday I have been happily saving (file - save as - svg) my work as SVGs and always check the "Use Artboards" option. This gives me 10 individual SVGs. However now I am finding overnight that has broken. Now when I save, I get 10 indiviaul SVG files but when I open each svg file there are 10 artboards inside the file instead of just 1 artboard per file. Does anyone know what is happening? How I can fix it? Note: Just updated to the new version (27.1.1) thinking issue was the old version and still having the same issue Operating system MacOS Monterey Version 12.5.1Adobe Illustrator Version 27.1.1

I want to add logos of different companies, the images are the one with pixelated background when i paste them in the app the background turns black. I want only the text and design of the logo.I have added an image for example.

Hi All,I've finally upgraded to CC after many many years as a CS6 user [the iMac 2011 finally died]. I'm wondering if it's possible to place the 2024 Properties Panel at the base of the screen like it was in CS6, ie. as a horizontal bar. It's what I'm used to, but if it can't be done I'll simply need to re-adjust.Cheers!

I keep up to date with adobe programs but I opened a file that gave a warning that the file had been created in a newer version of illustrator, as I thought i was up to date I checked CC and found that illustrtor wasn't in the downloaded list but underneath with an install button which is strange as i was using it. Thinking it may be a bug I re-installed illustrator but now my workspaces have disappeared and when I try to import them i get an error saying that the files don't contain valid illustrator settings

Hello,is there any Illustrator action to selected artboards before export them

I create a circle I duplicate it, it only moves the circle.  With After Effects, I duplicate everything and it works beautifully but with illustrator I think I mostly have to use command + C or option drag the shape layer to have a duplicate. Does anyone know why duplicating doesn't really work in illustrator?
