Hello, I am experiencing issues with the Turntable feature. Please see the attached video. When I rotate the character, the image distorts, and it appears to malfunction. I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Hello! Hoping someone can help as this is frustrating and I can't for the life of me get any answer from anywhere that does not involve the bounding box. I am unable to resize objects and text in illustrator despite the anchor points being visible and the bounding box being turned on. This normally happens by accidentally hitting an unknown hotkey (Not sure which one...). My mouse has a different icon on it when this happens that I do not recognize (photo below). Program version: 2018 CC Illustrator (Newest Update as of May 31, 2018) Please help... uninstalling does not work and this is really slowing down my workflow.
Hello all,I work in signage and we use Illustrator everyday for large format printing. My problem is that now and then, when saving the documents as a pdf, the crop marks and bleeds are HUGE. This doesn't happen everytime and is becoming very frustrating. Can anyone help with this please?
I’m on Windows and logged into Illustrator, changed absolutely nothing, and am no longer able to open any of the AI files I saved on the cloud. It says the account I signed in with doesn’t have access, which makes zero sense as I haven’t changed anything. Here’s what I tried:Logging in and out of creative cloud and then restarting computer End the synthesizer task in task manager Uninstalling and reinstalling AINone of this has worked. I’m logged into the same account I used so this is extremely frustrating that Adobe doesn’t have a good way to solve this.
Help! I am unsure why but when I export Ai as a pdf. The pdf is blank. Why is this the case? Nothing is clipped into a mask layers are showing.
Al iniciar Illustrator en su ultima versión me parece un cartel con lo siguiente:"Error en c:\Program Files (x86) \Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop\photoshop.jsx Línea 1:Error de E/S"COMO LO PUEDO SOLUCIONAR?
I honestly but here's a tutorial of how to make WeatherSTAR XL from January 1998 to December 2006 icons on The Weather Channel. You can make a weather icon (sun, clouds, rain, snow, etc.) but you can animate in After Effects and use the shapes to make weather icons. but I draw icons on Illustrator. But how can we do this?
Hey all,I have a job to do and I’m panicking. I updated my Mac Mini 2018 today with the new Sequoia 15.8.1 update. Shortly after, I launched Illustrator, and right in the middle of working on a map, drawing a bunch of roads, my black and white Selection arrow tools reversed their functions. Literally, right in the midst of working on my drawing...one minute things were fine and the next...crazy. Not only that, but my Pen tool won’t end a line now. I click once to create a point and click again to create a line, and it won’t let go...won’t stop at the last point. It wants me to keep drawing. The only way to let go is to hit Escape, or click back to the first point, which I cannot do. This is freaking me out because I can’t draw now. I’ve been working in this program since the late 1980’s. I’ve never seen it do anything like this.I should add that I completely uninstalled Illustrator, removed my old Preferences, and reinstalled the program thinking maybe it became corrupted somehow. That
Is there a way to do this?
There is no native full screen on mac, that's only available on photoshop
No matter what. I’ve attempted closing the program with nothing open, and regardless it always crashes. Then, when I relaunch the program, my workspace is reset, my actions disappear, and it launches like it’s the first time. It’s getting increasingly frustrating. I do have my workspace exported as a preset + my actions too, so I can relink them no problem, but I’m getting really sick of just leaving illustrator open 24/7. Please help.
i can find them on the creative cloud and when i try to download them from google it redirects me to the creative cloud app
I've been working with a file off and on without issue, and today I tried to open it to receive a "Illustrator can only partially read this file" error, and it to open it all as links. I downloaded a way back previous version of the file from my cloud to receive the same error. Pulled up Illustrator 2025 and opened the original file and the old version, both without issue. Reeeallllyyyy?? Come on Adobe. I don't have time for this. Why suddenly can't I open a perfectly fine file I used yesterday in Illustrator 2026, I now have to use Illustrator 2025. This is insane. Running OS 15.6.1, Illustrator v30.1
I work with Illustrator files for packaging-related projects, including cereal box artwork, and sometimes work with designs containing very small text, thin strokes, and fine graphic details. On screen, these elements can look perfectly fine, but I’m wondering how designers normally check whether they will reproduce reliably after printing. For example: Is there a recommended minimum stroke weight? How do you check small reversed text on a cereal box? Does the choice of CMYK or spot colors affect fine details? Is there a useful Illustrator preview setting for checking these problems? Do you normally create a physical test print before sending cereal box artwork to production? Are there particular Illustrator settings that help identify details that may disappear during printing? I’m looking for a practical Illustrator workflow for catching these issues before the artwork reaches prepress.
Hi all,Illustrator crashes every time I create a new document or open any menu. The New Document dialog appears, but the app crashes as soon as I click Create. Hello Adobe Community,I have encountered a strange issue with Adobe Illustrator when generating multiple artboards, and I wanted to share it here to see if others have experienced the same problem and if there is a known solution. When creating artboards within Illustrator, I noticed that the program assigns the number 6 twice, while completely skipping 5 in the internal numbering. As I continue adding artboards, the issue persists—when reaching 12, Illustrator does not generate it and instead creates two instances of 13. This pattern continues inconsistently across multiple artboards. version 29.3.1 Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this a known bug, or is there a workaround to ensure proper sequential numbering?Looking forward to hearing your insights and possible solutions! Thanks in advance.
I have a vector design in illustrator. I have created a “frame” (see image) on a layer above. I would like to “invert” colors, (red becomes tan, tan becomes red in just the part of the design the frame is covering… Wondering how to do this in illustrator…
I’m working on packaging artwork in Adobe Illustrator and want to make sure the files are properly prepared before sending them to a professional printer.I’m mainly trying to understand the best workflow for: Setting up the correct document size and bleed Using CMYK colors correctly Handling spot colors when needed Preparing dielines and keeping them separate from artwork Checking images and fonts before exporting Choosing the right PDF export settings for printing For those who regularly prepare packaging or print-ready artwork in Illustrator, what workflow and export settings have worked reliably for you?I’d especially appreciate advice on avoiding common prepress issues that only become apparent after the file reaches the printer.
The file preview shows history of files position active in preview. while using in MacOS Tahoe. M5 pro chip laptop.
In Illustrator, is there a way to change what number a numbered list starts with? I'd seen a post elsewhere in the forums to look under the settings for bullets/numbers, but when I followed it to the same place in Illustrator, there didn't seem to be an option to change the list start number. I'm working on a file for a client who wants to stay in Illustrator, so I'm hoping to not shift out to a different program if possible.
I have used Illustrator for a long time and always used a shortcut that is no longer working and I cannot for the life of me figure it out and its driving me bonkers. I use AI for fashion flats, I fill my technical drawings using live paint and if I have a pattern fill I would always use the ~ key to move patterns or “rotate”+ “~” key. I am unable to do this without moving my entire object. Ex: if I have a rib knit fill for a sleeve and need to rotate it so the fill follows the direction of the sleeve - I’ve always used “r” to rotate & then “~” key and it would rotate only the pattern fill. This however does not work and its rotating my entire object (sleeve). Does anyone know why this might be? I have done a deep dive online and tried everything with no luck. Any help with this would be hugely appreciated!
An internet search says "Switching to T-Mobile Home Internet often introduces IPv6 or DNSrouting mismatches with Adobe's Content Delivery NetworkSo far I changed DNS Server, reset CC, had my lap top alone on my internet, created a static IP address, changed routers, & restarted computer..ai files open but can barely move elements in the file & it freezes. the spinning wheel of death. Then if you try to save it will freeze until it says "Illustrator not responding" in the force quit window.
The four triangular holes are not expected; they just appear only when I export it. I don't know what to do to export something that does not have those holes.
Hi, Adobe community, I'm encountering a really strange export bug with my Illustrator project that I cannot shake off. I've created this little shape using the Spiral tool and the width tool and applied a gradient along the stroke. Pretty simple: I'm extremely happy with the result, but when I export it to PNG, the final result has these really nasty holes that I cannot get rid of: The number and severity of the holes relates to the physical pixel size of the object, and I cannot figure out a size that results in the holes disappearing. I've tried making the shape REALLY big (about a quarter of the maximum canvas size), REALLY small, and playing around with the export settings, but I cannot figure out the cause. This is what the spiral's geometry looks like when I activate the width tool: Is there anything else I can try to remedy the issue? I'm sure it's a bug relating to the export feature (it probably does not like this really curvy stroke geometry), bu
