I’m trying to make my text into my shape. Just trying to remove all extra variables, I am now trying this with a simple ellipse and the text “Test”.  I followed a tutorial to use envelope distort, and made the shape to be the front layer.When highlighting both and pressing Object → Envelope Distort, none of the functions are available. Why is this / How do I solve this? Thanks!Eugen

Hey,I have the same issue in every Adobe programm I use - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.The issue has come up in the past week and occures on multiple machines if I try.Newest version is installed and still has the issue.Whenever I go to create a new file and try to type in the sizes, it keeps resetting back to the last used numbers for 3-4 times until it finally gives up wanting to change it.This is immensly annoying and I can't find any info about this. Any idea what that might be?Best regards

Hello, when I review the printout, the outlined version of the text is thicker than the live text version. I did some research, and people were saying it's because the text loses its hinting information when its outlined. Is there any possible way to look as the same after outlining? Thank you.

I'm trying to buy Illustrator but it won't accept my payment information. How can I fix this? I've tried different credit cards.

I make business cards from Publisher. It has the ability to make multiple copies per sheet: The file is 3.5x2 inches with one business card. When printing, I select “multiple copies per sheet” and “10 copies.” It looks like this: Can it be done in Illustrator? to find a way to make 10 copies on a sheet from one 3.5x2 inch file. I keep hearing that the only way to do it is to start with an 8.5x11 document, make one 3.5x2 inch business card and duplicate it 9 more times. We need an easy way to do it, like Publisher. Any suggestions?

I would like to have a feature in Adobe Illustrator that proofs my artwork is 100% non ai-generated. I used Illustrator for 30 years(!) now and I want my clients to know that my artwork is done by my hands.I’m not against ai-generated content but my clients pay me for my skills and style.

We get the error and illustrator still "packages". But every time is different - sometimes the folder will have all links, sometimes it will only have one link. It is not consistent and it never saves the illustrator file into the folder. I can package the same file over and over and every time is different. This is not just my computer, it's all designers I work with having the same problem.* I have tried working from our server and also working off my desktop.* OS and Adobe updates are current.* Not using a Wacom (this was the only conversation I found related to illustrator / Tahoe issues.Our IT team has tried going through the process with adobe, but no one can figure out why this is happening. I was hoping someone in this community would have a fix. Thanks(screen shot attached for settings reference)

Hi - I have a filled path that I need to divide into even segments: The end result should look like a dotted line, similar to this image: I have found tutorials on how to divide shapes but nothing for a filled path or curve like in my situation. Also, the path cannot change shape or be distorted in any way since it represents data. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I prepared in Illustrator a file to go live on email only, however then I decided to prepare for print. I added the bleed points however there is now showing a gray space between my document and the bleed points. Please advise how I could get this fixed quickly, as I have a lot of pages on this document.

I have a MacBook Pro M4 Pro, and since version 29.8.2, Illustrator always crashes when I open it. Only Illustrator crashes—nothing else. I thought the problem might be the popup/modal that displays the latest product features, but it seems that's not the issue.I don't know what to do since it seems I'm not the only one having this problem, and yet Adobe isn't doing their job to update the program without bugs and crashes.

For a while now, I've been experiencing some issues with Illustrator's customizations that I wasn't used to, but which are now completely unusable.For example, if I want to create a square, the grid alignment process restricts me to certain locations on the grid, making it incredibly difficult to position it where I want. Even once the square is created, I can't adjust it by dragging, for example; I have to manually adjust the width and length. These kinds of issues are incredibly annoying, but I don't understand how they were changed or how I can reverse them.Hopefully, someone understands my problem and will help me!

I have just opened Illustrator 30.2.0 to get this home page:You can see that the LH side is missing several objects.The Recent grid view is filled with errors (while the list view seems to work).I then clicked on Open, opened a PDF file and, after briefly seeing the main interface with the single-page PDF in it, Illustrator crashed.I relaunched Illustrator but there was no crash reporting dialogue.I tried to open the PDF again and managed to perform a couple of edits (edit artboard > A3 > resize image to fit the artboard). Illustrator asked if I wanted to Save changes before quitting (but I had not asked it to quit). I pressed Save and Illustrator quit. What can I do?macOS 26.2.1 on Apple Silicon M3 Max.

I can’t place Illustrator files into Indesign – the artwork appears distorted with elements overlaying and ghosting that isn’t there in the Illustrator file itself.The same distorted image appears when previewing the Illustrator file in finder – so the fault is with Illustrator not Indesign.It can happen with a large document or with one artboard with one object. Sometimes you can resolve by deleting and pasting the items back, other times you have to give up on that file completely. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve had this work killing bug for months across multiple versions and it’s impacting my job.

I need to transform a lot of dashed (single) lines into separate lines... Who can tell me how to do this in a few clicks. I don't need an outline of the dashed line. I have a bug/issue on curviligne Text / text on path or curve.   After designing and saving the Illustrator file, everything seems normal. Once I reopen the Illustrator file, then the text that has been placed on a curve (Type on a Path) disappears.   This has happened in different working files of mine.

So I frequently need to batch export a number of various artboards to JPGs for web use. The maximum size that the files can be is 100kb, and while some of the artboards are small (and really should be exported at maximum quality so that they don't get too pixelated), some of the artboards are larger and need to be imported at about 40% quality. Up until now I have been manually adjusting the quality of each of the files in order to remain within 100kb, but I'm wondering if there is any sort of script out there that can help me with this. Any ideas?

Hey all,Got a question. I’ve been drawing in Illustrator since the 1980’s, but am not up-to-speed on creating custom strokes, as I rarely ever have a need for them. Anyway, I currently have 78 floor plans to draw and more them half of them have this really funky/curvy balcony/terrace wall that is a bear to draw, and slowing me way down on getting these things cranked out. What I am wondering is if there is a way to create a custom stroke so that I can draw this wall with one vector line? This outer Terrace wall is what I am talking about…...and I’d also love to figure out a way to easily draw the curvy WINDOW wall with it’s little custom-placed sectional dividers if that’s possible. If you all can give me step-by-step advice that would be great. I normally would just draw these things without worry, but I have 78 of them to do and I need a quicker way of drawing these walls. 

Hi gusy I vae a 12 page pdf in that pdf I need to adjust tge artboards size on all and adjust the text boxes sizes on all to look the same all together. The text has shadows and effects on them I wa t the spacing in all to be the same. Who do I do this
