I used to have the rectangle app on my Macbook Air. Im not sure if that has anything to do with why it is crashing now given that I have since deleted it but the app was known to have interactions with illustrator. However, Illustrator now is super buggy on my macbook. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times however it still won't open at all.

All my colours inside illustrator are appearing much much duller than the same file exported to Acrobat, loaded into After Effects or viewed in any other programme and I'm the only person in my workplace who is having this issue. I've double triple checked all my colour settings and it is not a CMYK/RGB issue.Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know how to fix it? Is it a bug in my illustrator? See below for a comparison in Illustrator and in Acrobat: Please any help would be appreciated.  

hello, I would really like to ask for help here. This has happened to me multiple times now. I've saved everything within illustrator, packaged and all but when I open a slightly more condensed file its constantly asking me to relink my images - and it won't automatically link the rest when it's all from the same folder.  On top of that the visuals won't even show up within the file - why is this happening? Thank you!

Hey all, Awhile back, when I upgraded my Illustrator, I found out that it no longer came with the Pantone colors. I dug around online for awhile to find the remedy, and was told you can either get a Pantone license or if you still have an old copy of Illustrator you can extract certain files from it and move it over into the new Illustrator. Well, I somehow found out how it was done and did just that, and "voila", I had my Pantone books back in Illustrator, albeit, they are older versions, but honestly, I'm okay with that, as the bulk of colors I use are still in the older books. So, I just recently upgraded my Illustrator again, and guess what? It wiped my old Pantone books out again and I no longer have them...again. I do still have the old Illustrator version to retrieve them from, but can't remember how to do it now. Can someone here coach me where the old files can be found in my old computer backup and where I need to place them again? Much appreciated!Thanks!

Hello everyone,I want to write a script that for whatever fill color I have selected, it would create a gradient that goes from 100% to 0% of that same color. I kinda successfully done it with the help of chatGPT, but the code keeps on creating new gradient swatches every time, piling up in the swatches panel.Is there a way to place the gradient directly into the defaultFill without using swatches? I tried giving the swatch a name, and then deleting it before recreating another with the same name, but that also removes the color from items using it (they turn to black). Weirdly enough, when I delete the swatch from the UI, that doesn't do that. Any help would be appreciated...

Hi,  I'm having issues with the ui scaling while using illustrator. The entire user interface is so small that it is unusable. I have tried changing the ui scaling and restarting illustrator but there is no change. I am using a monitor but the issue is the same on both displays. I have tried following other adode community post with similar issues but with no luck. Any ideas what I can try next? 

Hi, I created a harness illustration in Adobe Illustrator with callout numbers on one layer and harness images on another. After saving the file in SVG format, the images appear moved or shrunk when I open it in Google Chrome, causing misalignment between the callouts and the harness images.How can I ensure that the images do not deform or shift when viewed in a browser?  Give below image for better understanding. Hey, sorry if this has already been answered before, I haven't been able to find a solution. I've been creating my own swatches with embedded images and everything works fine except after a few times of opening the file all of them turn white in the swatches panel. The images never moved, they're still showing up fine on their own, but everything in the file that used those as a fill turned white. I'm using the latest version of Illustrator, reset my preferences, and updated my GPU, none of them fixed it. They show up in the preview of the file but once I click it they're gone. I haven't had this happen before until now.  Thank you in advance!

I want to make these curves have the same curvature so that they won't look weird on the logo but I've been readjusting them with the direct selection tool and the curvature tool for hours and they still look really bad, how do I make them look more even? This is really urgent and I'm really desperate please help😭 

Hi I am typing a word in Illustrator in Arabic language. The fill color is Red and the outline is black. The output is not coming properly. I have attached a screenshot. I want to  achieve the output of Magenta color. In Magenta color word, I have converted the text to outline and then unite it with pathfinder but I need non-destructive. How can I achieve this in Illustrator? I am new to Illustrator a step by step instructions would be helpful. Thanks

Just sharing a little discovery from today’s testing. We all saw the complex rotation tech teased at MAX Sneaks, but Illustrator Beta already has an early version of it hiding in plain sight. And yes—it works on raster images too. I even tossed in a pro headshot to stress-test it. Not perfect yet, but definitely promising. I am unable to use illustrator because it crashes immediately when I use it. I have updated my iPads software and restarted the iPad numerous times. I've also deleted pictures and apps as . recommended and it still crashes as soon as I try and start drawing again, deleting all the work I have just done. I'm using the most recent version of Adobe. I also have a screen recording but it won't let me upload because the file size is too big.

Hello all, I am new to Illustrator (just downloaded today) and ran through a few tutorials on creating paths. I am sure there are still misconceptions I have.My issue is this: I am seeking to use .svg symbols to create a circuit schematic. The stroke widths on the .svg file paths say that they are 0.264 mm thick, and I have separately used the line tool to make a path external to the symbol that is also 0.264 mm thick. However, they are clearly different thicknesses when viewed on my screen. It also doesn't seem to be possible to access the symbol's anchor points when I use the line tool.It seems also that these .svg files are composed of paths that are not lines. They're showing up with green rectangular outlines when I select them, whereas the paths created by the line tool are indicated with linear blue. Trensperent option is not turning Solid Color into Transparent. How to fix it? Video is uploaded. 

Good morning,I created last nigh some files in ipad Illustrator app, they were atomatically saved to my Creative cloud. Today I want to open them on my Desktop Illustrator on PC. I see the files in invitation screen of Illustrator incluing the prewie of the file, but it's immpossible to open due to "owner permision". In Creative Cloud Desktop application there are any of saved files, only blue circle running,  same when I open link to my files in browser - no saved files. https://www.adobe.com/filesHow can I get back to synchronised files? 

Hi, I’m trying to create a particular curved 3D form and then generate a clean wireframe from it, but I’m having trouble getting the exact shape. The first image (attached) is my ideal result—a smooth, volumetric arc-like structure with continuous curvature and evenly spaced wireframe subdivisions. I tried recreating it in Illustrator by drawing the 2D curved path first (second image), then attempting a 3D extrusion and mesh/wireframe conversion (third image), but it never becomes as smooth or evenly subdivided as the example. The edges become irregular, the mesh density varies, and the topology doesn’t flow correctly around the curve. What I need help with:How can I correctly model this kind of continuous, ribbon-like curved volume?Should I be creating this shape in Illustrator, or do I need to start in another tool (Blender, Cinema 4D, Rhino, etc.)?After creating the form, how do I export it in a clean wireframe style (vector-friendly if possible)?Is there a workflow t

I have used illustrator for over 20 years and in that time there has been a few annoying issues but nothing as bad as the latest release. The problem is mainly the cloud file manager, its terrible. Its slow and spends most of it's time with a spinning wheel. I'll be using illustrator without any issues, then I'll go to open another file and it locks up and I have to force close illustrator. This is on top of the really bad UI/UX changes adobe has introduced. Not everyone wants the default to be latest opened file, I order my files so I can find things but now when I go to open a file, I have to faff around changing the view so I see it ordered by name. Then there's the aweful way it now saves new files with a horrible list only view where you if you select the directroy where you want to save and then go back to the name field to edit it, it loses the selected directory. This is bad Adobe, please just change it back to how it was, it wasn't perfect but it was a 100x better than what we

Hi, I am trying to use the Pantone Connect extension in Illustrator but it will not load. I use it on a daily basis and have never had this issue.I have already restarted my computer, updated the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and tried to access it in my web brower and it still will not load. Is anyone else currently having this issue? Any ideas how to get it to load? Thanks! 

ello, im almost done with my project but running into where the outer glow on my torso shows around the whole torso instead of just the edge or outline as the rest of the head and bodyalso when trying to move the eyes mouth and face and hood into the correct file structure i lose the face completely not sure what else i can do besides starting completely over from scratch again and i truly do not want to do that

When I move planet it bocomes invisible beyond the boder of the canves. Is it possible to make planet visible beyond the boder of the canves? Video was uploaded as well.   

Is there a way to avoid having the color from bottom layers show through around the edges of a top layer? Ex: If I have two identical & precisely overlapping shapes with different fills on top of each other, the color of the bottom filled shape is visible around the edges of the top shape. This unintentional "outline" is visible when I export and print. I was able to get around the issue in the attached screenshots by using pathfinder to create new shapes, but wondered if I was missing something that might save me extra steps.
