To get the reflection of the red color image Transform Effect is used.  I assume X & Y coordinate is as such shown in the image. If so, mirror should be on the Y axis but Reflect X gives the correct result. What is the reason for that? 

Hello, we have an issue at work where files are being inundated with hundreds of swatches (see screenshot) and it is slowing files down immensely. This is also combined with hundreds of brush presets.  The problem being is that we have illustrator files we use as templates to create our work. But all of our work is now corrupted by these immense amount of swatches and brushes.  We cant use our templates without copying hundreds of swatches and brushes too. If we delete the swatches, which takes a while to load anyway, then save the file. Even if we copy out of the file at a later date, it REGENERATES all the swatches when copied into a new document?  My question being how can hundreds of swatches be made again by copying an object into a new file?  it feels like a virus these swatches, if you delete them, they just regenerate themselves if you copy an object into a new file. As you can imagine, this issue replicates itself, as we make m

I'm using AI CC 2017. When trying to draw a new object with the pen tool and snapping to existing points, the new path merges with the existing path, and the stoke and fill changes to match. I've found a workaround where if I click and hold, then press the spacebar, I can move my point to the correct spot without it merging. This is incredibly tedious for the project I'm working on, where I'd much rather "click - click - click..." than "click/spacebar/drag - click/spacebar/drag - click/spacebar/drag..."Is there a setting somewhere to turn this off?

Hi Everyone.I am working on a project that requires me to export 4 layers from an illustrator file,  1 into DXF format and 3 into PNG format. I can do this using actions (not hiding and showing each layer) but I'd prefer to be able to do it using a script as it is something that is required with each file and there are numerous files to do.The 4 layers are called A, B, C and D. Layer A needs to be saved as a .DXF file to a certain specification and the file name to be "filenameA.dxf". Layers B,C and D need to be saved as .PNG files to certain specification and the file name to be "filenameB.png" etc. The files can be saved to a local drive in the same folder and then moved after. I really like the new color features and would like to see a "Find and replace color" function like the one in InDesign.

I have downloaded a editable text effect and am trying to change the text. When in layers, each part of this is is its own group of objects/vectors, however there doen't seem to be a text layer to retype a new word in which the effect will be applied to. I can't seem to find any direct answers though. See the image of the effect that I have downloaded.

I have trouble with my Wacom drawing tablet both on Ps and Ai. When I start to work eveything is normal and after short time it just doesn't react, everything else is running normal, if I do something with mouse or keyboard it reacts. I've discovered that if I use Alt+Tab to switch betwen Ai and anything else and then return to Ai it is working again, but also for a short period of time. I've updated drivers, and tried everything else I've read but with no luck. Can someone help me because it is impossible to work like this.Thank you.

  In the past i have had no issues with inserting images in any format to the adope illustrator app on the ipad and adding a layer on top to trace. Unfortunately of late i have not been able to do that as the image come as as a blank box.  i have tried to follow all instructions on the forum and i even noticed that it has been resolved so the subject no longer exist for discussion.  Please can someone share how they have managed to fix it. Please note i have reloaded the app / updated the softwear and the operating softwear and still no LUCK. appreciate your suggestions.

Just recently, fonts from Adobe Fonts are not loading up in Illustrator 2025. My OS software is up to date, I have logged in/logged out Adobe and apps, attempted to resolve missing fonts, cleaned out font cache, etc. with no resolve. Illustrator is stating that the fonts are not loaded up on my computer (though the fonts originated from Adobe Fonts/Creative Cloud). I have followed a lot of guidance via google searches, without any resolve. I would be incredibly grateful for any guidance for resolving this issue.  Thank you in advance!!

I have been researching and have tried everythig suggested by the community to fix my pixelated text/illustrations. but nothing is working.  I have switched between GPU and CPU preview modes. I have increased my Document Raster Effects Settings. I have changed set the anti-alaising to all the mode. This is frustrating as red is my companies primary color.  HELP!! 

I have been searching for a while for a standalone pen sensitive tablet that can run adobe photoshop and/or adobe illustrator. However every single tablet I see seems to either only run Android to which Adobe does not seem to want to provide a version for. Or Apple OS, whos systems never mesh well with Windows setups. I used to have a Wacom Cintiq Companion 1.... However it was increadibly bulky and heavy, overheated easily and had a ciritical design flaw where the power port connection had such tiny solder connection to the motherboard that it would break with repeated use and had to be replaced several times until the warantee ran out.... At which point it would cost more than a new replacement tablet to get it fixed... And the local repair shops cant help because the solder points are too small for the smallest tool they have. I think they have since made improvements and have a new standalone tablet, however those cost a ludicrous ammount which I cannot afford. &nbsp

hello, the following script is not able to undo its actions in one go, any ideas of where I am making a mess? I recently upgraded from a MacBook Air to a Surface Pro 4. I've found that while making lines in illustrator on my surface, they look very strange, with an almost jaggedly patterned edge. I've tried messing around with settings and uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but nothing helps. It's very annoying, especially when I just want to play around with lines. I never had this problem on my old laptop with the same version of illustrator.I'll include some screenshots of how it looks at a distance and zoomed in. It doesn't matter if I change the stroke width or color either. It's very frustrating and I just want to create, but ever since I noticed this problem, I haven't been able to work as efficiently, as the jagged lines really bother me. Whenever I used the Mac it worked fine. Any fix or solution would be greatly appreciated!

I am so frustrated with this.. I can barely use the program. I am latest macos, sonoma 14.4.1 - m2 max pro 96 gb ramAny ideas what I can try--I tried uninstalling, starting with preferences reset--nothing. I am wondering if it is a plugin that ruined this? I did install "Overlord" plugin which is used to more easily transfer layered files to AE-- but I unstalled that so not sure how that would still be part of the equation. Any tips or help would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you

Hi,I can't move my illustrator window, whenever i click on top bar to move it it shows window of a programe that is underneath it on my desktop. I reinstalled illustrator but it helped for like a second and then it happened again. I've updated my mac to ventura and I think it has sth to do with it. Anyone with similar issue?(video in the attachment) 

I have a tecnical issue in my Illustrator app, I am not able to insert and place the picture, as it automatically started the function like: converting to CMYK and take a long to intesert the picture may be 1-2 hrs and is i stop to the fucntion than the file get converted into line drawing and not able to save my file and lost of my work, even to load to file it started taking long time. Please resolve this problem, as I have installed the app on a Mac.     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi Adobe, I'm an architect working on WIN11; ultra9-processor, 64 GB RAM and NVIDEA RTX 3500 12Gb. All programs run smooth and super fast - from V-ray, Enscape. Rhino, Revit to Adobe photoshop/Illustrator - no problems at all. But then I to start Illustrator... Just choosing a new document takes several seconds after pressing "create". Working inside Illustrator is almost impossible; moving a single line takes 5 seconds. I have worked in Illustrator for more than 25 years and it has always been know as a sluggish and unstable program, where you save every 5 minutes. But now it is becomming a real problem in my work since I'm starting to miss deadlines.. I've spend hours trying to read forums, ending "dwm.exe", reinstalling Illustrator, make shure GPU i running AI and so forth - but no change. Sorry for the ramble, but this is quite frustrating. Please stop adding new features - and instead make a program that works.

 

In Illustrator I have a requiring issue with the library which freezes (see screen shot) when I use Illustrator for a second time after launching the program. To use the Library I constantly have to keep quiting and restarting Illustrator. Is this something that Adobe can rectify? Or have any tips on resolving this issue?
