Questions

In the last few hours, I have noticed that Illustrator will simply not open on my iPad. Everything is up to date with the device and software but the app will not open. It simply crashes on startup with no message. I have noticed bother discussion from two years ago for a similar issue that has in the last week began to have comments. I need to get this fixed as soon as possible as my work relies on this. Any help would be great, Matt

Previously, when using the direct select tool, and doing a long press with the Apple Pencil on an anchor point, it would delete that anchor point. I used that method religiously and it no longer works. I have restarted my iPad, I tried different Illustrator files, I reinstalled Adobe Illustrator for iPad, and nothing has fixed this issue yet. Using the "delete anchor point" button on the floating menu still works, but the long press method is just simpler. Is this a shortcut/feature that has been removed in an update? Or am I missing something?

Hi,Recently I have a problem with Illustrator on my iPad. Before it was working excelent, but now I can't open the app. For a second the splash screen apears and then disappeared  and the application wouldn't open. I tried to instal again creative cloud and Illustrator but it's still the same. Anyone know what's wrong with it and how to fix it? Thanks.Marta

I cannot open Illustrator for iPad. It immediately closes without fully loading, sending me back to the Home Screen of my device. Already restarted device and redownloaded application.

Ok, so I've been using Illustrator on my iPad a good bit lately. My main issues have to do with input using the trackpad on the Magic Keyboard. Well, the keyboard in general now.  First, why am I unable to scroll around my canvas using the trackpad (two fingers). I'm able to do it in Photoshop, and Lightroom. You can zoom in and out, but say I'm trying to get from one area of my design to another. Currently I have to reach up and touch the screen. It's been a huge issue for me. I understand the interface has been tailored for touch and I occasionally use it in that capacity, but when attached to the keyboard to make edits, I would love the ability to use the touchpad to navigate around my workspace the same way I would in say Photoshop for iPad, or any other app. Am I missing something? Second, I'm having similar issues with the command and shift buttons. Hello, everyone. After I downloaded Illustrator on my iPad, I found it was in Japanese, and I couldn't find a place to change the language after I logged in. Other Apps like Creative Cloud, Behance are not in Japanese. Only Illustrator has this problem. Could anybody help me?

I use illustrator every day on my iPad and today when I went to use it it opens for 3 seconds and then shuts down and exits out. I deleted the app, reinstalled it, turned my iPad off and it still is doing the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! 

First time downloading the app won't let me open the app just crashes

Hi there yall! I need help with this, Ive tried dverythign but doesnt work, I dont have a computer with Illustrator to print from so I have to send as PdF but everything is out of order and Ive tried renaming the artboards but still no luck.

I'm trying to open a new or old file after opening the application but screen is freezing.After forcing to close the app, I live same problem again. I have tried with pencil or finger.  Nothing has changed. I couldn't also download the app from AppStore. Do you know why? 

Will we see the width tool in the app anytime?

Greetings, wrote in chat and everywhere possible too. Feel like crying at this point.All day the Illustrator for Ipad(3.0.1) has been failing to open, literally worked like charm yesterday. I've reinstalled the app, restarted the Ipad, cleaned up all the storage space, but it still fails to work, upon clicking on the app it just self-exits. The PC version works flawlessly like always, it is just the ipad one that won't open. The ios is up to date (14.8) and all the fees are paid. I have deadlines to meet and this is such an inconvenience. I've seen a few more messages in the community here but haven't seen any messages of anyone figuring out what is up, is it an update on the way, the bug or what.Please, help, this is driving me crazy. Please.   

I have been trying to scale down my vector image proportionately but it just doesn't do it. Is there something I'm missing here?   Moved to Illustrator on iPad by Moderator

Hi I'm relatively new to illustrator for iPad (but not desktop) and am having some issues opening my files. Several strange things are happening: 1. Opening my file stored in the cloud and the page is blank. If I zoom out the entire screen will be background grey and it will say Arthoard 1. But the actual art board (is, the edges) are not visible, nor is the content. All the layers are set to be visible and checking/unchecking them does not have any effect. Changing view mode to outline suddenly the art board appears and my file content is still there but reverting back to Preview mode has no effect. It stays in Outline. It's completely unworkable as I cannot select any objects from any layer. Zooming in or out has not effect. 2. to check if the issue is in any of my other files I open anothe, find them to be normal so go back to my original file. Which now opens and shows the content from the other file (ie, file 1 shows title of file 1 but content of file 2). Im runnin

Hitting the space bar immediately saves and exits the workspace when editing text, what I need is for the space bar to (drumroll please)...insert a space (I know, what a novel idea!).

Hey, I just got an Ipad Pro for portability, but I'm having some issues adjusting to the new layout. Is there any way to get the standard illustrator layout on ipad? I miss having the little windows where I can adjust brush width, colour palletes and colour picker etc. How do I do these things on the Ipad? I can't seem to find the option for colour sampling or  choosing the precise brush width

I'd like to make a request for a feature on iPad OS. On the desktop version of illustrator I can select two objects then select my target object and centre everything with that object. it's very useful when creating floor plans and maps. It would be great if the feature could be added to the iPad version.

I'm using illustrator on the iPad for work, and suddenly within the last few hours I am unable to view my added fonts, they're greyed out and any work that has used the added fonts is now pink. My internet is fine, but when I try to re add a font the message Adobe is offline is shown. Can anyone help me? 

I set up an A2 document and tried to draw using the pencil, but Illustrator on the iPad auto-joins the line ends to create a shape. I'm not looking to create a shape. Frustratingly, when this occurs as an automated action, undo deletes the entire line drawn. How do I turn off this auto-join feature? Thanks, I've attached 3 screenshots showing an example of how far (literally) Illustrator misinterprets intent. This is an A2 sheet, so that joining is at least a few cm. The second shape moves the line end and makes the line drawn curved. Can't use the app like this. I need to be able to turn the feature off. I'm assuming the button exists and that I just can't find it. Could anyone help? Thanks.  

Illustrator crashes as soon as I open the application every time, I have to re-install the app in order for it to open properly. And then it only works one time, and as soon as I close the iPad and later try to re-open Illustrator it crashes again. I'm on an iPad Pro

I'm using Adobe illustrator using brush strokes, every few marks the entire app closes down and doesn't save. I have the newest update and is becoming frustrating. 

It's a pain to have to do two taps to get there, and then a lot of the time the colour palette is in the way. I don't have the new pencil  so can't use that action.

Hello, I'm an Illustrator newbie, so I hope that this is an basic error. So I'm trying to do an neon blue/turquoise color (RGB 0,255,239) and even tho, I've tried multiple ways to accomplish it (color wheel, rgb numbers, colour palettes, sample from another picture) I can't. The color on the wheel/ rgb sliders is the one I want, but it always changes it's colour to daker, greyish blue (usually, RGB 68, 189, 206). And when I past any picture including the colour I want, it changes to the greyish one. The Illustrator swatches colour palletes don't even include such colour. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem or what could I do differently?
