Questions

I am using a custom brush in AI for iPad. Shading a drawing using a cross hatch method. Some of the lines are very small and short and others are significantly longer. I can't have the long lines having a stroke of 20 or whatever and the short lines having a stroke of 1. It's really ruining the drawing. Anyone know how I can solve this?

Hi there,    would like some guidance on how and where I can change the background of an artboard within Illustrator for the iPad. Thank you! 

Illustrator on iPad lets me create brushes, but doesn't seem to save them anywhere accessible. Even when opening the same file I've used the custom brush in, I can't use it again - I have to make it all over again. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to access and use the brushes I've made?

This is 100% recreatable, and something I've ran into that can break a design and coupled with AI cloud autosaving, can ruin a file for good. If you move an artboard with text in it, then push undo, the artboard and all the art go back, except the text object, it stays where it was moved, for good, unless you manually move it back, which can be almost impossible to place in the exact place it was before. When working with various files this can break a design, as there's no way to truly undo the whole action, and AI will autosave this new position. Please fix this one bug as a priority! In the attached images, the final one is after the undo. 

When I open illustrator and try to open a file, the app crashes about 10-15 times before it actually opens the file and I can begin working. It's starting to get ridiculous that there hasn't been a fix for this. I've had this issue for over a year and nothing is being done except new AI advancements that don't even work the way they're advertised. People need to do work on your products not just play around, it's really important these issues are resolved for those of us with business' to run.  Do you know how bad it looks to a client to be trying to show your work and have the app crash 10 times before the meeting can continue. And they ask, 'this is the software you use?" It's extremely embarrassing. 

How to rotate objects along this axis on iPad version of adobe illustrator? And what's the alternative of scale tool?

Hi, I have a student login with UOC university, two months ago the iPad worked great, but something happened and a I can't login again, the app shows the following message: please check your network connection and try again. Please help me because I need the app working to continue with my performance in the university. This problem is only with adobe illustrator, the other adobe apps like creative, works fine. When I open up my file the screen with all the art boards is blank white, and then goes all black when I click layers menu. I can see all the layers are there but cant see them! Why is the app not working? I have turned iPad off and on, deleted and reinstalled adobe illustrator app. Still same problem!Is file too big and struggling? Hi everyone - I had a logo done for me and I want to change the color to a brighter color. I read somewhere that I need to convert the file to RGB as it currently is CMYK. Is that possible in the ipad version of illustrator?

I want the knock out a transparent hole from my multi-layer for picture placement. (Pink to transparent.) Remove Front didn't work. Do they to be the same layer or on different ones? Is that even achievable in mobile AI?

As the title indicates, I fear that iPad version of Illustrator (and it's Photoshop sibling) are about to be ended far before their time. I bought an iPad to use these tools when they were released. I have used them countless times to create a rough draft on the go, make simple changes to production files, etc. I have designed work for my laser cutter on iPad and later jumped on my PC to cut and engrave. And yet so many features that should have been added months ago are still absent. Appearance Effects should have been present by now. I know that not all features are immediately feasible (both due to usefulness on mobile, the nature of some tools/features themselves and based on the iPad's interface). I just expected further development. It seems that the development of AI tools for Creative Cloud and the now failed Figma merger have really thrown a wrench into further development of flagship products as well as the flegling products on mobile. I have been trying to upload my external font to AI, every time I try to do it, I get the message that the font files are bing added to the cloud but it dowsnt. I have tried a couple of times, Does anyone have any idea what could it be or if I'm missing any step?

I got adobe illustrator earlier today and have found the app keeps crashing I have tried all the suggested things I could find but nothing seems to be working and since I have a 9th gen iPad I don't have the "no show effects" Apple Pencil optiton so I'm unable to do that fix I have the latest version of illustrator and iso (17.3)any solotions? 

Illustrator was working fine yesterday.  Today it's freezing or lagging horribly when I try to move an object.  it will move a tiny bit after waiting 60 seconds or so.  I haven't downloaded any apps lately.  I've restarted my iPad, deleted a bunch of stuff from illustrator, I don't have Magnet, Turned off Handoff.  Deleted apps I don't even think I needed to delete.  

It's been over two year and still no warp effects available for the iPad. It's very difficult to support the iPad version when it lags so far behind the competion. The warp tools have been requested over and over along with an upate as to if they will ever be added to the program. Can we please get some information? Thank you.

Am I right in believing that it is not (yet??) possible to set the arrowhead end condition on a path on iPad?  Or, am I overlooking where this property shows up?  I can see that if a path has arrowheads (added in cloud shared file on desktop version) that they seem to subsequently edit just fine on iPad.

Hi! Im using illustrator for ipad for the first time. Cant for the life of me figure out how to add a hyperlink! Can someone please help me?- when I click 'link' on the right hand control panel the options below are greyed out and not clickable.  

Adobe illustrator keeps crashing when a open a file, but what's more strange is that it's one particular file that it starts to open then crashes and closes down the app. I have updated my software, checked for updates, duplicated the file, and nothing seems to be working. I am working on some artwork for clients so this is very important for me to get access to!

I'm using Illustrator on iPad and I'm wondering how do I make an arrow with the path tool that has two lines intersecting at a 45 or 90 degree angle, with the ends of the paths that don't intersect being perfectly mirrored?

I am currently using adobe ilustrador and I'm just getting ready to finish up my project and it wouldn't let my keyboard work with the application, i thing rest my iPad and tried to see it it worked and it didn't. I looked up the problem and it seems I wasn't the only person with this situation, but the did have solutions. I deleted my keyboard languages and added them again and it seemed to work up until it closed the application on its own 3-5 times. It's really a buzz kill and id like for this problem to be fixed 

Can i do overprint fill on iPad Illustrator app? I know to do spot Colorado etc nyt i don't find way to do overprint fill.
