Bonjour, je cherche à remplacer automatiquement un glyphe par un autre en important un fichier word dans InDesign.Je m'explique : la typographie utilisée dans InDesign dispose de plusieurs jeux. J'applique une feuille de style de paragraphe avec le jeu par défaut, cela me convient, juste pour un caractère en particulier que j'aimeras remplacer par un autre proposé dans un autre jeu.  Ma question est donc de savoir comment automatiquement remplacer ce caractère (et uniquement ce caractère) par un glyphe qui se trouve dans un autre jeu ? Merci davance pour vos réponses !

I had problems with editing text in InDesign today - I can't change text colour or font or apply any paragraph styles. This happens in any document I open or if I open a new document. I have unistalled the app and updated to the latest Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1 and installed the latest version of InDesign (20.0.1) and the issue persists.When I go to change the font colour I get a 'pop' sound like there is a popup or a confilct in the operation. However no error messages appear. There are no layers or paragraph styles in use.I have also tried going back to InDesign 19.5.1 but have the same issue.Has anyone had similar issue?

In InDesign plugin development, I want to perform color conversions, such as converting colors from RGB, HSB, and other color spaces to the CMYK color space. I found that the SDK provides the IColorConverter interface that can accomplish this functionality, but I haven’t figured out how to use it or how to obtain a pointer to the interface object. However, the SDK documentation and sample code do not provide any guidance or examples on this topic. Does anyone have sample code related to this?

Hi all, since updating to 2025 edition I've noticed a bit of oddness when outputting sequences from a doc featuring multiple layouts. When selecting the 'Range' (e.g. X/'Twitter social media variant'), although there's multiple pages within that range, it's only letting me output one of the pages from it. Getting around it by outputting the entire document, then deleting the jpegs I don't need. Pretty sure I'm not doing anything doofy in the settings. Anyone else had this? 

Hi all, I have an issue in a class I teach. I often find that students seem to be "pasting" images into InDesign's layout, and I find it troublesome for a few reasons:1. I can't seem to figure out if it's distorted OR if it's the proper resolution for printing because no information comes up in the "info" or the "links" panel. Nothing.2. If it's not a link, then that seems to defeat the purpose of placing a linked image in  - in the sense that if you paste an image into the document, there's no way of updating it the way one can update a PSD that is "placed" into the document. I'm wondering if I'm way off base here in my distaste for what seems to be copying an image from the web and pasting it into the layout. Or, am I missing a window that does in fact show effective ppi for pasted images?I've attached a .ind that shows a photo pasted into the indesign layout. I just find it odd that info doesn't give me any info.

"Ghost text" remains on the screen after being adjusted or moved, and the screen only refreshes if I scroll until the text is not visible and then back again. (See screenshots 1 of "the ghost text".) Often new and old text are placed on top of each other as well.  I had this problem on my old Macbook Pro too, but I thought it would disappear on my new Macbook Pro 2024 (M4) with Indesign 2025 (v. 20.0) and OS 15.1.1 Sequoia. But the problem is still there! It occurs on my Macbook Pro screen as well as my external Samsung 4K screen. 1. I have deleted old preference and cache files, but it didn't help.2. I have tried setting Mac performance and energy usage to High Performance, but it didn't help.3. I have read that some people recommend turning off the GPU in Indesign, but I see no good reason why it should be necessary on a brand new Macbook Pro. It didn't solve the problem either. I remade a new document from one that got corrupted.All the index markers are, of course, in the text.But the index also contains a lot of  'see' and 'see also' cross references (192 in all). These are evidently not stored in the text, but somewhere in the original document.Is there any way to get these references into the new document? Importing topics from the original document doesn't do the trick: it imports the topic, but not the references, of course. So the cross-reference 'Absence see Judgment (default)' comes in as 'Absence' only, because that is the topic, the rest is the reference.Can anyone suggest a solution other than having to insert them one by one?

I am not a frequent user of Indesing but I manage.A couple of nights ago I've worked on this file, replaced some text, all good, smooth sailing.Last night I updated Indesing as per Creative Cloud suggesiton , I think I have now 15.0.2 and it's a lemon.I can't edit my text field without haing to wait several seconds. A simple selection of text takes 4-5 seconds if not more. Delete a single character and it takes ages.I've restarted my PC, Windows 10, without any success, closed everything all other applications, no improvement.There's a bunch of "Adobe CEP HTML Engine" in the Task Manager.Memory load is less than  1Gb. ( on Indesign )Processor is jumping occasionally to 20% or so.I've reduced the display quality to fast, changed the UI size, still no luck.No clue what's going on.Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone,I’m having a serious issue with a file that I was working on. While editing, the file closed unexpectedly, and since then, I haven’t been able to open it. Every time I try, I get an error message stating there’s a critical issue and prompting me to restart the program.I’ve tried everything I can think of:Checking for autosave or recovery options.Opening the file on a different device.Uninstalling and reinstalling the application.Nothing works. It seems like the file is completely inaccessible.Has anyone else experienced something similar? Are there any solutions to recover the file or fix the program? Hi All, I have 2 documents called "A" and "G" and 4 hyperlinks in "A". The 2 first hyperlinks named "_A 2 [1]" and "_A 2 [2]" are internal hyperlinks (their destination are in "A"). The 2 other hyperlinks namd "_G 2 (1)" and  "_G 2 (2)" are external hyperlinks (their destination are in "G").  Can someone explain me why we have a "grouping" for the 2 first (based on the "_A 2" Destination-Anchor name and not the 2 others?Could it be fixed to have these last hyperlinks visualized inside a "_G 2" grouping? Best,(^/)  The Jedi

Hi All,Currently I am upgrading my plugin from adobe 18.3 to 20.0.1.while compiling with new 2025 SDK , getting below error: error C2660: 'FileUtils::IDFileToPMString': function does not take 3 arguments while trying to match the argument list '(const IDFile, PMString, const bool16)'.In 2023 SDK, this method of "IDFileToPMString" was having 3 parms but now with 2 only. Its causing compilation failure. Is there any alternate for this issue?If I remove additional(last) argument while compiling the code, the code is getting compiled successfully but it that proper way of doing it ?Does it cause any issues while using my plugin with indesign ?Below attached the references from both SDKs. 

How would I iterate through every page in an Indesign document and build a list of the tables in each page, using the Indesign C++ SDK?

Hi!I'm having a problem with the scaling process. I'm working on a document with 170/200 pages (a tiff for each page, specifically it's a manga).When I edit a file (with photoshop) and then update the link in indesign I don't have "100%" anymore (I mean the content, not the frame), but a "99,9999698". I have to set "100%" manually, and the difference is so small that height/weight will not change   I've this bug (?) since I update ID with the last version. I can't understand what it's happening... but I need to have 100% and it's a bit frustrating having to double check all pages for all projects. sorry for my poor english, and in the meantime, I thank youMatteo

I would like for people who enter my business to be able to scan a qr code and automatically connect to the wifi. The InDesign QR Code generator allows for a hyperlink, but not for a wifi name/password. Does anyone know of a way to make this work?

I belive there is a keyboard shortcut (once stumbled across before, but now cannot refind)  for moving any one side of a frame over incrementally, with the option to do it in very fine increments, yes? To be clear, it's not scaling and it's not moving the entire image inside the frame. It's moving one side, thus cropping from that side, precisely, without dragging it manually via the mouse. Hello everyone, I've been trying to open the indesign app on my Mac for about three days now.Every time I click on the program, it seems to open and then it just stops suddenly.I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and the problem persists--I'm writing my thesis and it's a big deal if it doesn't work! has anyone had similar experiences? what could be the problem? HI Everyone, Black screen problems are disrupting my workflow in Adobe Premiere Pro. Whenever I try to play back a video in the timeline, the preview screen goes completely black, even though the audio plays without any issues. I have already tried clearing my media cache, updating my graphics drivers, and ensuring I’m using the latest version of Premiere Pro, but the problem persists. Iam currently working on Windows 11 with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU and using Premiere Pro version 23.1. Has anyone else encountered this black screen issue during playback? Could it be related to hardware acceleration settings, codecs, or a software bug? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.  

Hi there. Can somebody help me to solve a problem? I have no idea if I pressed something or did something wrong or there is a problem in InDesign, but I can not normaly change the colors of objects and text. I can choose a swatch color, but can not edit it on object. I use to select a swatch on object and if needed, just go to color palette, switch from swatches to CMYK mode and change, for example black to higher number to get darker color. Any of it is possible. When I switch to CMYK, everything is shown greyish an can not be changed... What to do?   <Title renamed by moderator>  

Hello,I'm trying to reduce the used space on my drive. Looking on my Windows 10 machine, I see that the I have folders for six versions of InDesign under AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign. Can I delete the previous version folders without harm?  Thanks!
