Hello,I'm not able to upload images to Lightroom Classic. My error message reads that the files are either not writeable or there is a storage issue. Can anyone tell me how to know which problem it is and how to clear up storage space? 

So I recently began editing off of a hard drive, I am pretty new to photography. I have found multiple issues along the way. First, my original catalog synced with Lightroom cc, which I have had since I was young and it had many random photos in there, I deleted those but I could not delete the collection, so after a photoshoot or two, I decided to just create a new catalogue. I exported the catalogue onto my hard drive, however now when I load up the hard drive, it says the original photo is missing, how do I get all of the original photos back?Secondly, when I went to create a new catalogue it would not let me hit create. I put it under my ssd, then my Lightroom folder, then I hit create, there are a few sub folders in that folder for the two shoots I had previously done and that catalogue. It would not let me hit create, and it even showed me this screen once or twice. It seems to me like a lot of my needed data is missing on my hard drive. I have already gone into permissions and s

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it is fixable because it is driving me insane. When I'm in Library module click to zoom works just fine for like the first ten or so photos, then, all of a sudden it basically stops working, except on the bottom half of the photo, and if I click anywhere else it just instantly shifts to another photo, seemingly randomly. It's like LR is getting confused about where the buttons are positioned on the screen. I've noticed it happens mostly when I'm in full screen mode, and exiting full screen mode fixes the problem for a while, then it comes back. When the issue is happening I can tell because the cursor does switch to a normal cursor when it should be the zoom magnifying glass icon. For info I'm on CC Lightroom Classic (v 8.3.1) running on a 2016 Macbook Pro 15 inch with touchbar, osx Mojave 10.14.5 However this issue has been happening with previous versions of LR classic and mac osx.Any help with resolving this would be greatly ap

I need to learn how to work with color in selected areas of a photo. I see videos excaiming how good the targeted adjusment tool is but where is it? I'm in develop mode in Lightroom Classic and the panels show color mixing and color grading but nothing that looks like what I think I need. Has this panel and the feature been eliminated? My aim for asking this question: Example photo shows blackbird with excessive blue in one area only after I tried to lighten the shadows. How would the experts here tackle correcting for the blue to make this look like a more natural blackbird pic?

Not sure this is a bug or whether I just misunderstand how color math works. I searched for a post about this but couldn't find anything. But that's probably because of my limited photography language. If there is already a post, I apologize - please just point me to it. I have a picture that looks ok'ish the way it is currently but it's too dark.(If it looks weird, it's a part of a jacket with the shoulder strap of a backpack. But I'm not comfortable posting the full picture.)To fix the problem that the picture is too dark, I increase the exposure. But this makes the orange/red parts to go darker. On the blues you can see that the exposure was actually increased.When I move the exposure even higher you can see that the shadow of the collar is becoming brighter than the part of the jacket that is actually in the sun. This seems wrong to me.This isn't the first time I've seen this but here it's very noticable and easy to explain. And I think it has always been with reds. This

I have a catalog that I have been working on in Sequoia on a Macbook Pro. I had to send that machine in for service. So I copied the library folder to an old iMac running Ventura. I moved the image directory (which is on an external drive) to the old iMac. I then worked for a few days on that iMac. When the Macbook Pro was returned, I copied the libary folder back from the iMac to the Macbook Pro. I reconnected the image directory to the MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, when I opened the library on the Macbook Pro, many of the edits I made are not there when I reopen the library on the Macbook Pro. Adobe support has suggested: rebuild all smart previews before backing up the older librarybackup the library on the older computer and open that backup on the new computer Neither of those worked. I even turned off syncing, just in case some of the online images were retrieving old settings from the cloud. It's bizarre. My mom is a photographer and loved using Lightroom because it was simple and did what she needed but now that the AI editing has been introduced she hasn't been able to edit her own photos and has been thinking about stopping her use of the app is there a way to turn it off so she doesn't have to?

We have two Canon RP cameras connected to a M1 imac. Tethering was working as it should, we could choose the camera we wanted in the Tethered Capture Window dropdown. When I updated to Sequoia, this broke the tethered capture and only one camera can be connected at time. The other stations we have (two cameras to one computer) are still working as expected, on Sonoma. I know tethered capture has been an issue since Sequoia came out, but what is the status? I have tried: Uninstalling LR, Deleting the preferences file, making sure both cameras are up-to-date on firmware. Installing OS and Adobe updates. Turn computer off and on. Making sure both cameras are recognized via Apple System Information> Hardware> USB. I removed and gave permission again for LR to have removable drive Security and Privacy permissions. Nothing. I'm currently on chat with Adobe and have progressed no further in 20 mins then exchanging LR version. Anyone else have a fix? TIA

Lightroom classic 17.1. When using the adjustment sliders in the Transfrom Panel, the grid lines no longer appear. Did I turn them off somehow?

I have the photography plan that includes photoshp and lightroom.  I heard and read about generative credit which I thought was only for firefly, which I never used.  I notice credits were deducted from my account and I only remember using lightroom to remove background objects.  Does generative credit used for any ai related functions, in photoshop or lightroom?  Will I get charged extra if I run out of credit?  Hoping to get some straight answers instead of spending time reading many pages of document which leads me to nowhere. 

Lightroom Classic Corrupt Catalogue Message I am unable to open Lightroom Classic. I get a message telling me that the catalogue is corrupt, needs repairing but repair is not successful. Choose another catalogue, all are corrupt. Have Uninstalled Lightroom Classic and Reinstalled but still have the same problem. Any suggestions please, driving me nuts.

I recently started to work with DxO PhotoLab and NIK collections just to add editing capabilities to my work. Whenever I'm done editing in these external programs and when I send them back into Lightroom, first, I will need to 'synchronize folder' so that the editied versions appear in the Lightroom image filmstrip of thumbnails, but I also notice that on every edit a new 'Collection is added to the list under 'collections.' Why does this happen? This has never happened before with outsided edits say, for instance Topaz software. I don't know how to delete these 'collections' or even if I should as it might cause problems? I need helpful advice from somone who knows what is going on with this. Should I just ignore? What would you recommend? TIA,Ken

Bonjour, dans quelque temps je vais participer à un voyage-photo au cours duquel, je vais prendre des photos à traiter dans Ligntroom classic à partir d'un portacle que je prévois louer. Présentement, j'ai Lightroom classic + Photoshop d'installé sur mon PC avec Windows 11. Je me demandais, quelle méthode serait la plus facile pour transférer mes photos du portable (en voyage) à mon PC (à la maison). Je pense qu'il y a plusieurs options et je ne sais pas trop laquelle choisir. J'ai acheté une CLE USB de 64GO que je peux utiliser pour déplacer mes photos du portable vers le PC mais il y a aussi l'option du CLOUD pour laquelle j'ai 20GO de stockage. J'ai jamais utilisé le CLOUD et je crains un peu des ratés avec le CLOUD.  Je n'ai pas encore installé la version Lightroom. Selon vous, est-ce que la version Lightroom est efficace pour être installé sur un portable utilisé à distance ? Probablement que Lightroom contient moins de fonctions que Lightroom classic. Enfin, ça fait pas mal

Hi!I just subscribe my lightroom plan (still in 7day trial period). But I have issue with my Lightroom classic cloud. It said that it trying to connect with server. I already re-install the app for multiple times but still doesn't work. I saw multiple thread regarding this issue but I cannot find the newer one. Anyone can help me with this issue? 

WIndows 11My  LR CC 11.1 keep saying: trying to connect with server. So I can not sycn photo from cloud.  BTW：My LightRoom connect with server without problem.  

I have been spending ages trying to track down a hardware fault (camera or card) and now I suspect that the issue is actually in Lightroom.   Below are two screenshots from Lightroom. Both of them are imports  exactly the same RAW file shot on a Sony A7RV. The first is clean, the second has a horizontal red line above above the heads of the figures. I had assumed this was a card or camera issue but now realise that the file is clean (also looks fine in Camera Raw and other apps). So I am assuming the artifact has been added during impirt, which feels weird.   I am running LR Classic 14.1.1 and Camera Raw 17.1 on Windows 11.   Has anyone else ever seen this?         [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Before anyone asks, I have a 1Gbps fibre connection at home and there's nothing that's hogging the bandwidth at the time I left Lightroom Classic to sync the Lightroom CC photos. I've also been monitoring the network download speeds and it seems that it's just constantly at 50-100KB/s. Which would take "forever" to sync up just a single album of 380 photos (4GB in total).4GB files can be downloaded in about 3-4 mins tops sometimes at 20-30MB/s on my Internet connection... so waiting for almost 3 hours to see only 154 photos synced is really painful. Is anyone else also facing this issue?

Hello, I just got a new computer and i'm not sure how to move my catalog to my new computer. I don't want to lose anything that I've worked on thus far. If someone could help that would be great.

Hello !  Since yesterday i can't open Lightroom classic in my computer and if it manage to open, closes after a while with an error message:<crash exception="EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" exceptionCode="0xc0000005" instruction="0x0000000077228ADC">I tried everything, from uninstall to re-install adobe creative cloud and programs even change the user admin...Could anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance !Vicky.

1/im new in LR and have got in a right mess, how can i remove evrything and start again?,2/ In My "Pictures" folder LR has changed the titles i had on each folder, and just turned them in years iE 2005 2010 2011 etc so now I dont know what is where, an absolut mess, so much so im think of cancelling my subscription. I thought this was supposed to be fairly easy!!

local photo = LrApplication.activeCatalog():getTargetPhoto() is returning an empty table, even though I have photos selected. I'm almost embarrased to ask, does anything spring to mind? 

je tente de créer une collection dynamique qui se base sur une autre collection dynamique existante.  Je n'obtiens aucun résultat.  Par contre, lorsque je tente la même création basée sur une collection 'standard', ça fonctionne bien.  Je ne vois nulle part de spécification qui documente ce comportement.   Donc ma question est : peut-on créer une collection dynamique qui se base sur collection dynamique déjà existante?
