OM System has HR modes. Hand held (HHHR) and tripod (THR). HHHR uses camera movement to create a composite whereas THR is true sensor shift. For both modes, the camera can produce a HR jpeg and a HR raw (.ORF). It also produces a normal resolution raw tagged as .ORI.This was problematic for LrC but it appears to be resolved albeit partially. LrC will import the jpeg, the ORF and the ORI. However, if “Copy as DNG” is specified, the normal res ORI is converted to a DGN but the HR ORF remains as an ORF. This is strange in itself but often, not always, the thumbnail of the HR raw is tagged with “Photo is missing” and an exclamation mark. Sometimes this crashes the app. Attempts to read the missing file fail.
Since cancelling LRc subscription I cannot open LR at all even though I'm still signed in. How do I gain access to my catalog/Library.
So, when I try to apply a preset, the preview works, but when I click on it, I got this message, with a downloading bar stuck at 0% I've tried to reinitialize preferences, but nothing changes (I just lost my presets). Never had this problem before I'm using LRC v13.0, on a win10 64bits PC
Develop Loupe View is slow to load one image to the next, particularly when try to flash back and forth between a group of sync’d images. Advancing through the sync’d images gets bogged down and won’t load images properly. This happens even after 1:1 previews have been created. After installing IOS Catalina I have lost the use of LRMogrify2. I get an error message "magick cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified" "Failed to run Mogrify..more info in the txt file" It appears to me that a new security feature has been added via Catalina. How to I get LRMogrify2 to work again? Thanks for any help in this matter. NH

Help mij a.u.b., dit is onwerkbaar. Groet Jos Lemaire.
For me it seems that “Dust Remove” does not work with Development-Synchronisation (Batch-Modus).The "Dust"-checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog is selected but the dust-spots are not removes from the raws in the batch. If I go into development-”Remove” of a picture and deselect and select the “Dust”-checkbox the it works. This step I have to do for each raw-pic of the stack instead of doing this in synchronisation automatically. So is this “as designed” or is it a bug ?BR, Wilfried
Well today Lightroom Classic has crashed on 3 Macs, different catalogues all which were working before, the moment I try and import any photo or edit an existing photo, it just locks up. Given all 3 are up to date and different in their images, catalogues and devices, I think there may be a broader issue about. Is anyone else having issues?
if you try to open lightroom classic it will not open. loads for a second but never opens.
📋 DescriptionWhen working with Lightroom in high-volume professional workflows (such as weddings and events), the current masking tools introduce significant inefficiencies due to limitations in object selection, person detection, and mask reusability. These issues are not isolated bugs but consistent limitations that slow down editing and require repetitive manual corrections.🔁 Steps to ReproduceOpen an image with multiple subjects. Use “Select People” and apply masks to each detected person. Observe that: Some subjects are only partially selected (missing hair, limbs, clothing areas). Use “Select Object” on a person or part of a subject. Try selecting partial elements (e.g., arm, leg, shoulder). Attempt to reuse or copy the same object selection across multiple masks.❌ Actual ResultPerson detection is inconsistent; some subjects are only partially selected. “Select Object” cannot reliably isolate partial body elements (arms, hands, legs, etc.). Object selections cannot be copied or
While using zoom tool the exposure suddenly gets down and it seems ok after zoom out but after export the low exposure version gets exported.
I have a folder in which I imported about 200 images from a shoot. Edited them last night as normal. Got a request for two additional images.I import the 2 new images from the SD card as usual. Accidentally see I selected all 1496 images. Click CANCEL import and cancel render previews. Lightroom shows "Previous Import"-view as normal, about 20 images. The original folder with the 200 edited images NOW HAS NO RAWs left. Only .xmps.Only the about 20 images from the canceled import are there. The original files are not in Trash. Not in the folder where I worked on them last ight. Just... gone.SURELY this is not intended behavior? Files on SD card are thankfully still there, lucky me.Windows 11 Home 25H2, OS Build 26200.8037LR Classic 15.2, Build [202602111402-ec4112e8]
Hi,after Camera Bits decided to discontinue Photo Mechanic Plus I decided to build my archive with LrC. To not take more space I thought to import all my photos using the minimal previews size. When I tried to find some photos without the hard drive connected to the computer I found a lot of empty previews:Did LrC built the minimal previews or not?I read that LrC generate every time the previews when you’re looking at the library, but when we’re importing and we’re waiting all that time is not generating the previews? If I’ve thousand of photos I can’t look at all the library to be sure that LrC will generate the previews.
I cannot create a new catalogue in Lightroom CC any drive (external or c:\).This is something new as last week I did not have this problem. When selecting create new catalogue and browsing to the any hard drive location and selecting “create”, nothing happens. In Catalogue settings the path/ location to the catalogue I have been using and continue to edit in reflects the right drive etc and its also correct in the backup menu however there is a “Path (*Offline)”. I can work on/edit in the current catalogue and back it up on exit to the drive I am working on but there is still a “Path (*Offline)” showing. There is no issues with catalogue integrity. There are no other back ups listed here other than the one I am working on with the correct drive letterI have uninstalled/reinstalled LRC, I have updated windows 11, I have reset LRC defaults. I right clicked the execution file/ LRC launcher icon and have selected properties and under security tab I have given full access to all the users li

Hello, I have a corrupted Lightroom Classic catalog. - Catalog works temporarily after reset (CameraRaw + preferences)- After closing and reopening, Develop module freezes on loading- Previews generation also gets stuck- Other catalogs work perfectly on the same machine- RAW files open fine in Photoshop I already tried: - Reset CameraRaw- Reset preferences- Rebuilding previews- Rebuilding catalog via import into a new catalog The issue comes back after reopening Lightroom. LrC version 15.3 & Camera Raw 18.3 running on a 2019 15” MacBook Pro 2,3 GHz Intel Core i9 8 cœurs Any idea on how to fix this issue ? Thank you
Hallo, with the recent update of LrC, it upgraded my catalog file and then ended with an error screen telling: Failed to initialize AI Edits storage What/where is AI Edits storage? How to open my catalog file? Windows 10 with latest AMD drivers. LrC 15.0 Build 202510171722-44f87028 That catalog file is 1.3 GB free disk space is >100GB
When using the "Select Sky" feature, Lightroom starts the "Detecting Sky" process and creates a "New Mask..." entry in the Masking panel. However, after 2–3 seconds, the mask entry disappears entirely, the sky is not selected, and the "Select Sky" button is sometimes greyed out or non-responsive. The only consistent fix is a full restart of the application.Steps to Reproduce: Open a catalog and enter the Develop Module. Open the Masking Panel (Shift+W). Click "Select Sky." Observe the "New Mask..." entry appearing and then vanishing without generating a selection. no error message Expected Result: The AI should complete the detection and create a persistent mask layer with the sky selected.Actual Result: The mask entry is deleted automatically by the system and the tool becomes unavailable.System Info: Application: Lightroom Classic 15.3 OS: Windows 11 Workaround Found: Restarting Lightroom temporarily resolves the issue, but it recurs after several minutes of use.
Mac OS Tahoe 26.1.3(a), Lightroom Classic 15.3….I have one photo in particular that shows a virtual copy and the original is shown in Finder (via Lightroom menu) but still Library view doesn’t show original no matter what I try...as follows:Restarting Mac, Lightroom, unstacking options, setting all filters to None, synchronising folder and parent folders, Reset in Develop module, copy, relocate and rename file and reimport (already shows as imported even though it’s a different name), search web and Adobe Lightroom forum.I now believe it’s a bug, but maybe not wording my issue clearly and not a real tech expert so I admit I’m at a loss - any useful suggestions pointers etc. much appreciated!
Hello, I’m using Adobe Lightroom Classic 15.3 (202604090927-8f3672ed) and i can’t import keywords from CSV file. Context : I have a main catalog, made an export of photos on a another catalog to work in vacations and made an export of my keywords (cvs file). When i import thekeywords list on the new catalog, LR refuse and tell me “Error, the file cannot be imported, because it contains corrupted data.”. I have reduced the CSV file to the smallest part possible to be sure it wasn’t having non ASCII caracters and with a very simple file like this one… it still refuse to import. Example : File LR.CSVInclude On Export,Export Containing Keywords,Export Synonyms,Person Type Keyword,N,N,N,N,Top - OK"Y,Y,Y,N, Test LR""Y,Y,Y,N, Test LR2" It’s seem to be a bug of a function not working that i can reproduce easily. Matt
I don’t see a way to create catalogs in lightroom. I’m using version 9.3. I’m told it’s in File/New. It’s simply not there! Has Adobe taken this out completely? I’m able to create albums and folders, and import into them. but I don’t see any reference to the word ‘catalog’ anywhere.
I’ve had to roll back to the previous version as the masking feature no longer detects anything. Very frustrating. Everything else about the update is nice though.
I’ve got a bit of a weird problem where a subset of ~1.2k photos cannot have their metadata saved. All of them have this badge on their photo in the strip, and when I try to save, I get this error. Initially, I thought my RAW files might have been corrupted, and something was wrong with the file itself, but I tried opening the raws in two separate programs (XNview MP / DarkTable) and the image opened perfectly in those. That led me to trying out some other things including the ‘Import Setting from Disk’ option that pops up which you click on the ‘metadata error’ icon circled in red above When Lightroom tried to read these files, it just froze on the ‘Reading XMP Metadata’ step with it never getting any further. This is only a subset of seemingly random photos in my library across the entire history of photos Ive taken 2016-2026. File permissions and all things which could be getting between Lightroom → XMP File are all correct, so that leads me to believe the issue is either with light
