Whenever I am using the masking tool in Lrc, the app become slow and would eventually crashes. It's been two days now I've been trying to mask a single photo, which is rather fustrating! How can I fix this. This is slowing down work flow way too much!
Version of the app 13.5.1Platform and OS version macOS 14 SonomaBasic steps to reproduce the problem I am attempting to print rows and columns of the same size as is done normally in the Print module. However, the first row and first column is slightly shorter than it should be, and the other ones are slightly longer.
When im editing my photos the photo will constantly change brightness of the photo (not in any setting of adjustments) unless i go fullscreen or make the screen small. Its not ground breaking but its very irritating to edit go full screen and then back to editing. Its like the photo is self editing brightness or color saturation but no settings change. Please help.
Good evening, I'm having serious problems with LrC, I don't know what's going on.I've tried every way to download photos for editing and it won't open them, and when it does it's only half the album, and then when I go to the developing window, it doesn't open anything, they're new photos, not albums that have already been used, please, I have to work and I can't do anything on it anymore. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times.I need urgent help
Hello folks, I'm having a weird issue where Lightroom Classic (13.5.1) won't export. The progress bar appears, goes to 100%, but no photos ever show up on my hard drive, nor does the progress bar go away. Lightroom Classic's CPU usage is at 0% even with the "operation in progress". I've tried changing performance settings to not use GPU to see if that would fix the issue. Lightroom says it's editing originals and not Smart Previews. This morning, I shut down computer, fresh boot, still have the same issue. I did notice that the progress bar area had hidden tasks that didn't have bars and one was Saving XMP Basic steps: selected pictures I wanted to export, went throught the export menu, clicked "Export"Expected result: exported pictures in local storageActual result: nothing Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: enOperating system: Windows 10 - Business EditionVersion: 10.0.19045Application architec
After I create a radial gradient mask i can't move or rotate it afterwards-- i used to be able to do this.using version 14.4.1
I had this happen a while back, and now it is happening again with the latest update to LR Classic to 14.0.1. I delete a file, and a screen pops up saying can not move the file to the trash. It tells me the file name giving the full path of the file, and then I have to click on "permanently delete" or cancel. I don't remember what it was that I did to fix the problem the last time, but I believe it was something in the Preferences. Thanks in advance for helpign me with this. Using Macbook Pro, using Sequoia.
A chaque ouverture de lightroom classic les datas (4 datas) en rouge et noir s'affichent sur mon bureau avec la mention cata 3 V et cata 3- V 1 , pourquoi ? et est ce que je dois les supprimer ? Mercipour les reponses
I think I have a corrupt catalog in Lightroom Classic on a Mac, and perhaps a corrupt preview file. Sometime in the last couple of months, it became impossible to access images. When I open lightroom, I only see grey rectangles in Gridview. I have imported photos to lightroom for years from a number of 2 gB hard drives and you still can see the hard drives listing the photos for each day in the library catalog. Occasionally, you can see the images from a few of the drives. But you can no longer see most of the images anymore. (The actual dng files are still on the hard drives.) When I tried to optimize or save the catalog using LR 14.01, it would just hang. So I went back to a previous version of LR (13.3.1), I can open some of the older catalogs, but they still seem corrupt, ie still just see grey rectangles in gr
Lightroom Classic/ Windows 11 When opening LR C I get a pop-up: Your catalog is being updated to access the latest changes in this newer version of LR. A compressed copy of your current catalog is stored in the location below ....3 options appear: 1 Close. 2 Perform upgrade. 3 Choose other catalog. When I choose 2 or 3 the same pop-up appears again and again . So I can not open LR C. What can be the matter?
I have Lr 14.0.1 and PS 26.0.0 on a Macbook pro i9 OS 15.0.1.I was trying to open a photo in PS from Lr and got this message (Could not open " file name DNG" because of a disk error)
After importing files, the "building standard previews" progress bar does not budge. Same thing if I ask to build previews from the Library menu. The previews build when I first start up Lightroom, but never thereafter. How do I get this to work?
Hello !After updating the OS to the lastest MacOS avaible Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348) and the latest LR 14.0.1, i have some issues with strange artefacts that appeared instantly after the update while editing the raw file.Is there anything that i can do ? I tried altering in the performance tab, but with no success.I added the system info below and some pictures. Thanks, Lightroom Classic version: 14.0.1 [ 202410161356-30922cfc ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: en-ROOperating system: Mac OS 15Version: 15.0.1 [24A348]Application architecture: arm64Logical processor count: 12Processor speed: NASqLite Version: 3.36.0Power Source: Battery, 66%Built-in memory: 32.768,0 MBDedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: 5.414,4MB / 21.845,3MB (24%)Real memory available to Lightroom: 32.768,0 MBReal memory used by Lightroom: 6.280,7 MB (19,1%)Virtual memory used by Lightroom: 419.548,5 MBMemory cache size: 1.368,6MBInternal Camera Raw version: 17.0 [ 2043 ]
After updating to 14.0.1 (Camera raw 17.0), despite using a lower Denoise Amount than normal and keeping other settings the same, it took about four times as long to process an image, and when it was processing, the mouse would jump if it was moved. In version 14.0.1 the default Profile in the Develop Module is Camera Natural. This profile is very saturated and not very realistic and not at all like the image I expect from the camera (Olympus OM-1). I have to change every photo to Adobe Color in Develop for the image to match the rendering in Library. Can I change the default Develop Profile?
These days it is very common to use a variety of third party lenses with mirrorless cameras. Typically, the camera does not know what lens is mounted on it, so it does not put out the right lens information in the EXIF data. There are a handful of EXIF editors with varying degrees of usability, but most don't work since they don't edit the data that is considered proprietary to a camera maker. The one utility that is supposed to work is very hard to use. Can LRC provide the ability to edit in the name of the lens in the EXIF data? Also, I don't know if LRC does this, but it would also be helpful to edit the capture date and time for individual photos, as well as batch edit the capture date and time by providing a time offset, e.g., +9:00 hours. Thank you for considering this input.
Hi - This is an issue that keeps popping up on here, but I can't see an answer for my specific question, which is in two parts: All my photos are on an external hard drive, which used to be D:/ but has now been reassigned to F:/ . Lightroom can see all the photos I've imported recently from F:/ but nearly all my folders are 'missing' because Lightroom thinks they're on D:/ which it can't now find. I've done all the steps to repoint LrC at the missing folders, which are all in a single master folder on the external drive. I think I'm nearly there, but I'm baulking at the final step, where after I've right clicked on the 'missing' D:/ drive in Lightroom, found the missing master folder and all the missing folders within it, clicked on it but now LrC is saying "The selected folder or one of its subfolders is already in Lightroom. Do you want to combine these folders?". It then gives the option to MERGE or CANCEL. If I hit MERGE is that problem solved? Second part of the que
despues de actualizarse la aplicacion LRC no me aparecen las ultimas carpetas de fotografias. Como puedo recuperarlas?
I've been using the Photoshop Elements Organizer for over 20 years as my image cataloging tool. Once the product stabalized it's done almost everything I needed. In my editing workflow I'm using Bridge for accessing and Photoshop 26.1 for my editing. I've never really liked Lightroom but yesterday I though I would take another look to see if it would be suitable for my cataloging needs. The first thing I did was import the Organizer's catalog. That took quite a long time, but it eventually completed. However, Lightroom complained about some of the images and gave me a list of 96 files that it said were "either unavailable or damaged." In the list were a couple tif files and the rest were psd files. I've checked several of the files it reported and I was able to see their thumbnails with the Elements Organizer, and able to access them with Bridge and Photoshop. Bridge does provide a thumbnail graphic for these images. Lig
So, I've been using the AI denoise capability for a while. In the past, it had this "Enhance" option, that did not seem to do a whole lot. It made MINOR enhancements to details, but that was all, which was fine with me. I recently updated LRC to the latest version, and now the "Enhance" is called "Raw Details"...and I really do not like it!! Problem is, I cannot seem to disable it. It is always automatically enabled whenever I choose to denoise or do super resolution... I have become somewhat reliant on Denoise to clean up the noise in my images now, as it does a pretty good job, and its faster than my manual approach that I've used in the past. However, I really do NOT want AI to be deciding for me, what details are "real" and need "enhancement" (rabid embellishemnt is often more the case!!) vs. what is not detail and can be obliterated. It doesn't get it right, a lot of the time, and the obliteration happens right where details are often critical, at the beginning of
Platforms:Lightroom mobile v10.0.2 on Android 15 (Pixel 8a)Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on MacOS 15.0.1 (14" MacBook Pro, M1 2021) Workflow: Take photo on mobile phone. Photo (jpg) is automatically added to a "Phone Import" album which has sync turned on. I open Lightroom Classic and see that the photo has been synced and appears in the "Phone Import" collection. The physical file is automatically placed in my file system according to my import settings by date, like MyPhotos/2024/10/PXL_xxxx.jpg I go to "All Synced Photographs" in my catalog, select the photo and hit delete. Lightroom prompts me with "1 photo will be removed from all synced collections and from Lightroom photos on Creative Cloud, but will not be deleted from the desktop catalog". I click OK to continue. I can confirm that the photo has been removed from the Creative Cloud by checking that the "Phone Import" collection on my phone is now empty. The full resolution photo, however, remains on my computer
I've used the LR slideshow module ever since it was introduced, and it has worked flawlessly until I upgraded my laptop recently. It's a Dell XPS 13 with a UHD (3840x2160) screen running Windows 10, plus Intel Graphics 620 (driver version 23.30.16.5018). Slideshows are always run on an external projector (Canon WUX500 running at either 1920x1080 or 1600x1200), and when I first tried this back in August (7.3 or 7.4, not sure which) I discovered that everything worked fine providing I hadn't over-ridden the "high-DPI scaling" settings for the application. I tried the slideshow module again after version 8.0 was released, just to see whether the high-DPI issue had been fixed, and discovered something much more alarming: neither the Play nor the Preview button were functioning. Before anyone presents me with a raft of "have you tried xxx?" questions, I ought to point out that I'm a software engineer myself with more than 40 years experience. So far I have expe
I just switched from a PC to a Macbook and all of my photos in Lightroom are showing up as missing. The photos are located in folders by date on an external harddrive that on my PC went by the drive letter E. If I understand correctly, Mac doesn't function with drive letters, so I'm unable to change the drive letter back to E and recover the missing files in Lightroom on my new Macbook. Unfortunately I never created a parent folder under drive E and now have hundreds (maybe thousands) of dated folders under the following file structure (photo attached). When I try to locate the missing files in Lightroom, I can only locate the folders one at a time, which isn't a viable option considering the vast amount of folders that there are under drive E. Is there any way that I can locate and update all of these folders at once? Thanks so much,Sophia
I'm making a book but when I go to the book module I get a '!' on the left corner of my photo's and this means that the photo can't be found or is offline.I've made books in the past and this never happened. I don't know what I'm doing wrong right now.Herlinde
