Questions

Running LRc 13.3 on a 14" MacBook Pro with 2 external displays (so 3 displays active including built in).  In System Info below, Display 1 is main Eizo, Display 2 is a Dell and Display 3 is internal Macbook screen. LRc is set to open on the main Eizo display and does. But ever since the update to 13.3, I find that if I hover the mouse over the dock (set to auto display at the bottom) with LRc, LRc will jump to the display where the mouse is. I don't have to click anything to have it move there - just hover for a second. Once moved, I cannot access the top bar to move LRc so have to go to the Mission Control or whatever view (4 fingers up) and move LRc over to the Eizo again. Once there, it maintains the same size as the display it had jumped to and refuses resizing by dragging at the edges. I can only get it to resize by going full screen or quitting. Interestingly, LRc had just jumped to the Dell screen which prompted me to post here. I did the 4-finger up and move

Here's my context: I have imported a bunch of photos in Lightroom on my iPad.Those photos are synced correctly with Creative Cloud, as I can see them across all my Lightroom ecosystem (Desktop, iPhone, Web and of course iPad) . Here's my problem:Those photos are not synced into Lightroom Classic.They can't been seen the "All Synced Photos", nor in the download folder where my creative cloud synced photos appear normally.I have observed the issue following the release of LrC 13.3: is this a problem from the "new" syncing engine? Here's my configuration: macOS 14.5 (MacBook Air M2 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD)Lightroom Classic 13.3Lightroom 7.3 ipadOS 17.5.1 (iPad Pro M4 512 GB SSD)Lightroom 9.3.1 iOS 17.5.1 (iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB SSD)Lightroom 9.3.1

Everytime I use the new generative replace feature in Lightroom 13.3, it progress box freezes towards the end. Finally, a message pops up to suggest a network connection problem. My network connection is fine, as evidenced by the fact that my Adobe apps are able to update themselves and all my other programs have no problem with the network.

I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this... I just upgraded to Lightroom Classic 13.3.1 (Intel MacBook Pro os v 14.5 (23F79)) and I’m experiencing some bizarre behavior in collections. While, in the development module I will be working away and then for no rhyme or reason the photo will disappear, and I get the message "No photo selected" When I go back to the grid view, the image has been removed from the collection. It’s still exists in the catalog, but not in the collection. The issue happens with both virtual copies and direct links.

Bonsoir à toute la communauté, je rencontre un problème au lancement de Lightroom Classic depuis les deux dernières mises à a jour. J'ai un message qui me signale un problème de droits d'utilisateurs (voir capture écran ci-dessous. Je ne peux pas faire de correction automatique si je clique sur "continuer" le logiciel se lance et je peux travailler dessus. Mais à chaque ouverture de Lightroom, même message. Je n'ai rien changé entre les autres versions installées sur mon mac, cela ne se produit qu'avec Lightroom. Si jamais l'un d'entre-vous a rencontré ce problème et trouvé une solution simple pour se dépanner, je suis preneuse. Merci d'avance pour vos réponses (l'aide d'Adobe ne m'a rien apportée !). Since updating to 13.3, everything has slowed down to an unworkable situation. Flagging images is even a huge challenge! Plug in to Topaz is crashing. Movement between images in develop & library mode is delayed.  Please advise where adobe is with corrections? Having to roll back to the previous version. Losing work in the process.....   

I stupidly updated only to find that it completely screwed up my system.   lrc 13.3 m1 MBP 16, macos sonoma 14.5   Issues: the develop module seems mostly OK, except undo doesn't work.  The library module seems VERY slow and buggy At first I noticed that when I flagged/rejected a photo, it didn't show up.  I just continued and then noticed that the flags/rejects were taking minutes to show up.   Undo doesn't work or takes minutes closing the app takes 5+ minutes (without optimizing) and it hangs plug-in extras wont launch topaz photo ai applying auto setting does nothing or takes minutes cant synchronize folder, it just hangs it seems like everything I touch is laggy and buggy.   I have uninstalled and reinstalled I started a new catalog and imported my old one (took all night)  i deleted my previews reset my settings   I am at a loss.  Does anyone have any ideas for my to try?  Do i just put off using the app u

AAAArgh. Have duplicated Lightroom etc on hard drive and uploaded to new PC. Where are the presets??? Bit tired of looking for answers on internet. Is there a human out there that can answer questions?

Since I updated LR classic to v13.1 the program crashes very often without leaving an error message or else. It happens merely after a short pause during which a certain action (skip picture, edit picture .. anything thats needs LR to react on my actions on the screen. When restarting LR goes back to the point where you started before the crash. Clearly no saving has happened during the session that crashed. It is very annoying as it happens at least 3 times an hour when just scrolling, looking and doing almost nothing. Next to that deleting a picture may result in a blanc icon that cannot be entered. This blanc is removed after closing and restarting LR.I tried to go back to an old version but since the version of the library has been upgraded with 13.1 this gives problems reading the library. So I upgraded again to 13.1 which, in contrast with the error messages stating it was not possible, happened anyway. Also the crashes started again after reinstalling v13.1.My feeling

A simple question (?) just want to make sure I understand how things work..... After syncing a collection of images from LrC (to be used in Adobe Portfolio), if I turn off the sync, the files in Lightrrom.Adobe.com will remain, but just not be updated with any subsequent edits. Is that correct? Running ver 13.2 on a PC Thanks

Masking in Lightroom no longer works

Since updating to the latest version fo lightroom classic, none of the AI masks work. They are there to be selected but when selected it says analysing then they drop off. Nothing happens. I have updated AI masks in the develop tab. Nothing is working. HELP

After updating lightroom classic to the latest version, when I open an existing catalog on an external drive, it forces me to upgrade this catalog.  After that is done, I am not able to open the newly upgraded catalog.  It will just hang there for 10-15min.  The catalog has about 1tb of images and the drive is fairly new and rarely used.  I have tried it 3 times already with the same result.  Panicking here that I will be losing my previous work.

I was originally using the Lightroom Cloudbased app on PC. I switched to LRc about 6 months ago. I uninstalled the cloudbased app today cleaning up update notifications.But When I opened LRc, a catalogue couldn't be found. I searched all drives and only LRCAT file found was in users\pictures, but it was created today and no photos show up etc. There's nothing in the recyle bin and no recent files.Would it have been saving to cloudbased catalogue the whole time and is there a way to find that? Thanks for help

My father died. I copied his catalog (which is a mess) and his files to an external drive. I attach the drive to my PC, launch the catalog, Update Folder Location... to let LrC know that the dirve letter is now F: Once I've relocated all of the folders, I try to synchronize one of the top level folders on F: and it finds about  7,000 missing unimported photos. If I hit import it imports WAY more than 7,000, including photos on the C: drive (I stopped it at about 30,00). Same happens if I go to the folder and choose Add in the import dialog box. I figured that there must be a symbolic link in one of the directories but if I bring up a command prompt (as Admin) and dir /AL /S f:\ I get File Not Found I'm on Windows 11 (LrC 13.3). Any ideas?

Unfortunately I updated to a "banana-version" of LRC. I am no longer workable. Zooming to 33% results in an application crash. Using the new advertised AI-feature for removing distractions, the progress stops reproducible at 75%.   I want the very stable and working older version back. How can I organize a rollback? All answers are welcome! My OS is Windows 10.

Hi i have a new canon r10  and copied photos from this to my pc, when i tried to import to Lightroom but the thumbnail pics say  preview unavailable when I do the import it says files appear to be unsupported or damaged.  Apparently lightroom is up to date, what is required to fix this. Thank you 

I am installing LrC on my Windows 11 PC, this is my initial install.I have run the Import function as described in the online instructions, to create the catalogue.No filters are on, include subfolders is ticked.Over 300 of my folders have not been picked up in the catalogue process.My folders are mostly labelled in the format "yyyy mm dd", plus a few folders with random names. None of the folders after "2021 10 09" have been included in the catalogue.Why are they not included and how do I get them into the catalogue?

Filtering folders and collections by entering text in the field above the folder or collection hierarchy in the panel on the left no longer works. When I enter a text, the result always remains empty. I'm not sure how long this has been the case. It could coincide with the upgrade to version 13.Filtering by color, synchronization or favorites does not work either.I have created a collection set to test this: If I filter for "Teneriffa", "Porto", "2022", "2023" or for "collections marked yellow", I should get hits. However, the results list always remains empty. Here, for example, is the result when I filter for yellow collections: Is there perhaps a setting somewhere that I have inadvertently changed?I would be really grateful if someone could give me a tip. BRThomas  

The Issue:My photos refused to sync across devices, for some reason pushing a new sync then freezing at 140 images.Three agents, three screenshares, and no solution. They actually hung up when they realized they couldnt easily fix it.Tech Team Mirage:Agent #4 promised to escalate to the tech team.Weeks passed—no updates, no magic.Epilogue: Silence:This is my job. I need Lightroom to function. Im editing on my tablet to circumvent this all right now.

We've just gotten the new category "exported files". I have multiple user presets for exporting. Is it possible to make it so a user could choose a subcategory such as: exported files>instagram. That way we could search deeper and also make a "collection" of a specific type of export.? I suggest this because I'd like to keep track of what images I've posted to social media, etc.

I'm running Lightroom Classic V13.3 on a 2019 iMac using Sonoma 14.1.1.  Since updating to the latest LRc version, the system locks up (unable to add or delete) when editing keywords for specific images.  This problem seems to get worse the longer my LRc session runs.  I generally do a shutdown w/o backing up and that fixes the problem for a while.  I've also shut down with backup but that doesn't seem to resolve the issue.  I've been working on LRc for nearly 2 hours this morning and this problem has occurred about 7 times; it was probably 40 minutes before this first happened in todays session.
