Hi, whenever I start an export with more than about 8 images in it that I want passed to another application (e.g. PTGui, Photomatix etc.), the 'post-processing' application gets kicked off after the first 5-8 or so images have been exported, and then another instance is started for the next 5-8 images, etc.How can I make Lightroom wait until all of the selected images have been exported, and only then start the 'post-processing' application? Hi, I have heavy lags in Lightroom which I relate to the 13.3 update:- Zooms and moves lags.- Colour adjustments lags.- Precision tools like healing brush and clone tools are impossible to align with precision.- … It seems like everything related to the display being laggy. To me it started with the 13.3 update. I’m on Windows 11 Pro, Processor Intel i9 12900k, 32gb of DDR5 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti 8gb. Windows is up to date as all drivers and software, Lightroom is v.13.3.1 and the graphic card driver is NVIDIA Studio 555.99. I clean all Lightroom caches, deactivate every plug-in and tried to set the graphic acceleration on manual all on, auto or totally deactivated
I have been using Lightroom Classic for editing a gallery of wedding photos and everytime I try to do a simple task, anything from clicking from one photo to the next or applying a preset, it lags significantly. I am working off of a MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.5) (2.2 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7) with 74 GB available of 250. I have optimized the catalog and the catalog only has 3000 photos, which is a decent amount, but not much more for any other wedding gallery I have edited over the last 5 years... Any suggestions are helpful!
Issue with Masking Feature in Lightroom and PhotoshopDear Adobe Support Team,I am writing to report an issue I have been experiencing with the masking feature in both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.Every time I attempt to use the masking option in either software, a warning message appears, forcing me to close the program. This issue disrupts my workflow and prevents me from using these essential features. Here are more details about the problem:I am using the latest versions of both Lightroom and Photoshop. My operating system is Windows 11 Pro.My system specifications are:Laptop: Dell Precision 5550RAM: 32 GBCPU: Intel Core i9GPU: NVIDIA Quadro T2000Storage: 1 TB SSDSteps I have taken to resolve the issue:Reinstalled the software.Cleared the cache.Restarted the system.Despite these efforts, the problem persists. I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue and whether any specific actions are required on my part.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look
Hi, I have both a Z6II and OM1. When I set my raw deafults in LRC (under Preferences) I select the 'Global' to be 'Camera Settings'. I quit and restart LRC. I open LRC, import some photos from either camera, in the 'Apply during Import' | 'Develop settings' - I select 'None' (that is how it's supposed to work, right, if you want to apply the Raw Defaults set in Preferences?)(These files are already on the local disk but NOT in the LRC catalog - so it's an 'Add') I click Import. Once the import processes have finished, I check the assigned Profiles on the raws and = Adobe Color. LRC is not seeing my OLY Camera Natural or Nikon 'Standard' or any other picture profiles I might have set within the cameras, such as Monochrome. These profiles are listed BTW in LRC's Profile Browser. I tried this; Left the Raw Defaults at Camera Settings / imported from OLY OM1 but selected 'Camera Natural' from the Import dialogue dev settings. The result was awful -
For many years, and through many versions of Lightroom Classic for PC, I have been annoyed by a minor bug. Please can someone explain to me how I can get this seen by developers and a resolution included in an upcoming version? When I create a new collection (or collection set) using the context menu, the mouse cursor disappears. My workflow usually consists of creating collection sets for each shoot, with multiple collections per shoot, so it slows me down a lot. Here's a video showing the issue in practise. As you can see, the mouse cursor disappears as soon as you press ok / hit return, when creating the collection. I don't think OS or lightroom version matters, as it has done this whilst on Win 10, Win 11, and across different devices with different hardware attached. For example, I use RDP to connect to a Windows virtual machine, and it happens there too. But I'm on Win 11 (23H2), Lightoom Classic 13.3.
I've been copying my lightroom catalog and photos from my windows pc to my macbook and back for some time with no issues. Now when I copy from my PC to my Mac all of my photos show up as 'not found' - i.e. and ! appears in the top right hand corner. The path name in the catalog is the windows path name - D:/Photography/... and not the Mac path name. Has something changed here as I said it's been working properly for me for some time. After the update to Lightroom CC 13.3 on my MacMini M1 (Sonoma 14.5), after some minutes of working, Lightroom CC becomes practically unusable. Even applying Presets, flagging files as "Picked" or adding them to a "Target Collection" takes ages. The overall system performance is OK, everything else e.g. playing Youtube videos, browsing the web, even writing this post is working as expected in parallel. No "spinning beachball" or anyhing like that. It seems as if Lightroom or the Catalog internally becomes very busy for some reason. After some seconds all actions that have been issues in the meantime are done in one go, comparable to some tasks that are queued and then are released all of a sudden and the game starts from the beginning. Also a restart of LR CC helps for a few minutes. I didn't have any issues before the 13.3 update, so I suppose it is directly related. Any ideas or suggestions on how to debug further are welcome.
Can some one help me? As recommended by another community.adobe thread, I recently deleted the Previews.lrdata folder because it was taking over 400GB of my 500 GB space on my Mac. Since then, Lightroom Classis is running crazy slow. It takes minutes just to click and drag photos to a collection folder.
How can I ensure raw files from my camera are imported to my external hard drive and not my C drive? The C drive keeps crashing with overload. Thanks/
I am running LRC 13.3.1 but all the 13.X version are really slow to export (3-4X slower) compared to 12.X on the same pics/system/setting. i am running a Macbook pro M1 Pro, on Sonoma 14.5 any solution? actually fujifilm X-H2 Raf to jpg take around 3 seconds, while before was less than 1 second to export, and thats really problematic when exporting a studio session with 600/1000 pics.... going back to 12.X is not an option since i have updated the main catalog and already used AI Erase on several photos. thanks
Hello. I have a really annoying problem. On my Canon 8750 no matter what I try, I cannot get the print to resemble the print preview with regards to position. I print in 5x7, 6x4, and 10x8 paper. I have presets in Lightroom to print with a border, all the same size on all 4 sides. But when I print one side will always be half the size of the others - it prints off centre. Only with Lightroom though. I've checked the printer settings. Tried borderless and not, tried all the page extension settings, checked and rechecked page setup in Lightroom etc. No dice. All I want is for the damn image to be where I put it. Help 🙂 Im using Windows 11, always latest updates applied. Using Lightroom Classic, again always kept up to date.
I find this filter in smart collections useful, but my issue is with what Lr defines as an edit. I am looking for a filter based on a 2 month timeline on any image I have processed in Lr, but I don't want include any that have just had a new keyword, or rating / colour etc .If you have done any batch changes to keywords or ratings etc - they all show up as edited. I don't count that as editing , it is admin/management. Is there any way to exclude this annoying criteria in the Has edits (or adjustments)? Many thanks
I run a photography business in London, and for years now we have hosted an installation of Lightroom on a server in our offices. It runs Windows Server 2016. This means I can remote in to the server when I'm out with clients, and pull-up reference images from my Archive Catalog, etc. It also means I can work safely with the enormous catalog that holds over 12 years of client work, run large imports over night, and ensure that backups (which take hours) actually get done on a daily basis - none of which would be possible for a photographer on the move with their laptop. We have invested significant budget in this arrangement - it's secure, reliable, and allows for a slick workflow. Well - it did, until recently. Lightroom Classic stopped working recently - I forget exactly how - it just wouldn't start up. I attempted to reinstall from Adobe Cloud app, but came across various errors. I read somewhere online that Lightroom withdrew support for older operating systems. So we
I hope someone can help because I feel like I've tried everything over the past week. LRc has gotten to the point where it is unusable. I have been working on the same job edits for over a week and it should have taken me 8 hours. Every time I move a slider, I wait 2-5 seconds for it to take effect. I've tried turning the GPU off with no luck. Perhaps my computer just can't keep up with LRc anymore, but I see numerous posts about people with newer laptops having same issue. ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what information is needed for someone to help evaluate this issue, but using a 2019 MacBook Pro. 1TB of storage with 683.04GB free (only 317.2GB used). I've somehow messed up my Lightroom catalog after the latest update. I've searched and Googled and tried for hours to figure out how to fix it but I am hopelessly lost. Can anyone help me get my catalog back please?
Hi, everytime i try to import images from my SD card to lightroom, it crashes. Tried restarting my laptop, restarting lightroom. I've upgraded to the latest version of lightroom too. Is anyone else having this issue? How do i fix it please?
I am in a desperate panic feeling like I am about to lose all of my current work and edits in recent catalogs over this recent LR update! It has messed up the catalogs that I have currently been working on by: not allowing me to export photosfreezing up and saying "Application not responding"showing the exclamation point in the top right of a photo, indicating that it can't find the file It has also started affecting my hard drive by slowing it down and showing an error code-36 (I work on a Mac desktop & laptop) on some RAW images when I try backing up onto another hard drive. I have hit a wall and I have no idea what to do or how to fix this. I have reached out to some friends who have also been having major troubles since this most recent LR update. Thankfully I am not at risk of losing any images, as they are already saved elsewhere. I am just trying to recover/fix my catalogs so I don't have to start over and solve this issue so it doesn't happen to older catalo
My work flow is to import into LRC on my macbook, storing the files on a NAS drive, and adding the imported files to a new collection which is synced to Adobe.I then review the images via Lightroom on my iPad, assigning stars to the ones I wanted to potentially edit. On LRC 12, and earlier, creating the collections on the macbook made them almost instantly available in the cloud on the ipad. Now it takes a signifitcant time before they appear. The star ratings also take a long time to appear; e.g if I assign 3 stars on the iPad, it takes several minutes, at least, before I see that on the macbook. The latest problem I've noticed is when updating the star ratings on my macbook, e.g. changing 3 stars to 4, they revert shortly afterwards to what they were. This never happened before I updated to 13. I'm guessing some sort of sync problem, where the new code isn't working as before. ETA: Some time later, I don't know how long as I wasn't watching,
I have a problem that every time I just go over an image that I view in the Lightroom Clasis application I automatically apply that icon of ”Photo has developers adjustments” although I do not I made no changes. This ”BUG” messes me up because when I look at the ”recently modified” folder I appear there and the photos I have practically no editing.Do you have a solution for that? Thanks in advance,
Hello, I have a question that is probably fairly common based on some searching around. However, I haven't found a post with a solution that meets exactly what I'm asking for. What I'm trying to do: I have a Fujifilm X-T4 and I use a number of in-camera settings to achieve a default look that I may or may not actually use as the final product for my images. For many casual shoots, these in-camera settings are perfectly sufficient for my needs and saves me from editing. For this reason, I shoot RAW+JPG on two separate cards, and use the JPGs a lot of the time, but dig into the RAWs when I need to edit. The problem is that sometimes I shoot RAW only, or (in this case) I think I was shooting RAW+JPG but apparently I was not, and I don't have the JPGs to work with. The result is that now I have a collection of great looking previews in LrC, but when I go into Develop mode or export the files, they export as completely plain, unedited images. Even if I'm shooting
After the last update af LR Classic (6 days ago), when using a mask (click on the wheel) causes a crash of LR and it stops. Is it possible to go back to the previous version?
Does anyone have any idea why the latest version of Lightroom Classic is running hard? Specifically, I installed it on an imac M3 and I do the basic editing in Aftershot. I use Lightroom after Aftershot for retouching and exporting and it is very difficult to render.
The changes I make on a photo, can I find the file somewhere or have I make the changes again when i import a photo again because I lost the first on?
