Hi guys, totaly noob here and i don't understand how to do a light (blue, yellow, whatever) on faces for my Youtube thumbnail. I try several tutos on Youtube but i have no results... Someone can help me ? And additional question, every brushes work for create lights ? Thanks a lot for your help  

I just noticed that all of my brushes, including ones I have made, purchased or added from the "Get more brushes" menu item, have all disappeared from Photoshop. I can add some legacy brushes but they are nothing to do with the brushes I had made or added myself.  I have my preferences in Creative Cloud set to migrate presets to new versions, but I don't even think this disappearance coincides with an update.I went to my Preferences folder in my library (on a mac) and tried copying the brushes.psp file from Photoshop 2025 to the 2026 folder, and then reopened Photoshop but it was back to the bare minimum default brushes again -- even the legacy things disappeared. Is there anything I can do to restore my brushes? I did not export them to an .abr before this happened as nothing like this has happened in the 30 years I've been using photoshop and I didn't realise my presets could vanish.Looking around I see that all my patterns and colour palettes have also disappeared. Please tell

Is it posible "lock" move tool if I click on artboard? I dont want to switch from move tool to artboard tool. Thank you so much.

Hi Everyone, At our company we experience the following issue: when a windows user would like to use Adobe Photoshop on VPN or on company Wi-Fi (behing proxies), after 30-60 seconds the app crashes. (Error report has been attached.) I experienced the issue on my device with the version 26.11 or 27.1.0 (Adobe Photoshop), but when I installed an older one (25.1) everything was fine. If I disconnect (with 26.11 / 27.1.0) from VPN or company Wi-Fi and I am using my personal hotspot / home Wi-Fi, Photoshop is working fine. (We had the same issue with InDesign, but after I have updated from 20.51 to 21.0.2, InDesign is working on VPN/company Wi-Fi. I suspect that the InDesing issue was due to this bug: 'InDesign freezes when connected with the Enterprise VPN.' https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180/suggestions/50450502 which was fixed in the 21.0. version.) At the company we use Cisco Secure Connection VPN and Windows Security app. Unfortunately we aren't allow

I don't know if this is a feature or a bug but: When I bring an image from Lightroom CC into Photoshop and do my final touches to the image, I intentionally save it as a TIF in a new, separate folder in a different location than original photo the RAW image was in. The problem is that when I close that file in Photoshop after saving the TIF file, the TIF file gets magically relocated back to the same folder as the RAW file, despite having saved it using the "Save As" option in a new, separate folder. This is incredibly annoying. Help? Feature? Bug? 

Hi guys.I always have to "delete hidden layers" and select all artboards on the layers pannel then center them all and save to import to AE so everything is on my comp size.Since the amount of arboards change from project to project I couldn't find a way to do with actionsAny way to do it smartly with a script or another solution?

Im done. everytime i use this thing it has changed, nothing works well , no jpeg save is crazy. actual size in light room and ps are not the same and are both wrong.this is not usefull to me at all .

[cursing removed]  I have used photoshop for over 10 years.  When Generative Fill came out, it had some quirks but overall it was fairly impressive.   Then....Firefly in the recent update.  its awful !  Not only does it not perform like the previous (not even close) but sometimes it doesnt even render what I ask of it.     Adobe...this is a hard FAIL

Hi,Avro Lancaster superb large 1/32 model, black wing undersides and fuselage, and tail fins, and silver wheel hubs, legs and tail wheel, blue has appeared in the black and silver of these as it was on a vivid blue cloth. What method to remove that, to get it as if it had been sat on grey cloth instead ?Placing it into a real scene this blue 'invasion' is readily apparent. I have the areas masked and selected but auto colour doesnt do it.  The wing underside especially has taken on a very blue look., feathering out as the wing dihedral takes it further from the cloth.I attach the .psd file with that mask. I have removed the real scene runway to keep file size down.With more than one model over the years photographed on this electric blue cloth, knowing how to remove the blue, and prior to that the magenta that was used, would be VERY WELCOME ! CheersMerlin

Photoshop 27.1 File Extension Error: This update no longer overwrites extensions when saving files. Resulting in Filename.jpg.psd or psd.jpg. I resize artwork in different dimensions and export both formats with the same file name followed by the dimensions. ex: Filenname_Date_SIze.jpg.  If I click on the name to copy the naming convention, it used to have a dialogue box that would overwrite the file with the correct extension. Now it just adds both extensions. This means I have to adjust the names manually after export adding extra work to my day. The only this update managed to improve was my hatred for AI. Great work team.

Created GF for 16x9 (1920x1080), but now need that same fill for 9x16... is there a way to take the current fill I have and apply that generative to different canvas size?

Hi, I am struggling to find anything to help me with this, partly because I am not sure of the language to be used. It seems like a really basic question, but can you change the size of area the background 'dead' area of an image in photoshop? I'm talking about the space around the outside of images (in my case it's grey) which you can move around with the sliders. My issue is that it's super annoying to have this much space for the way I use photoshop. For example, if I need to select from one side of an image with the marquee tool to the other it will shoot my curser way outside the image and into this grey area, and I have to scroll back - really annoying! I've attached a screen shot of an image, and how it looks to me in my photoshop. You can see there's an excess of grey 'nothing' area all around the image (this is just one side). I hope this makes sense. I'm struggling to find the language as I said.Please someone help, I've been tearing my hair out over this!

Attempting to use generative expand with or without a prompt throws Error 54. A workaround is to expand the image, select the new area, and apply generative fill, but it's still a bug.  

HiI'm trying to figure out the best place to save my photoshop brushes that I actually want to use. I have so many over the years and they are in different locations. I'm trying to find the best place to save a batch of brushes that I actually want to load and not cause problems for photoshop. Where is the best place to save them for the best preformance. ThanksGreg

I have installed Mac OS Tahoe 26 .1 on my Mac  Mini 4, with Photoshop and 27 ALL MY PLUGINS are greyed out.My Macbook Pro is an Intel model but runs Tahoe 26.1 and used Photoshop 27. All my plugins run on it.I have tried installing all the photoshop 25 and 26 versions on the mini, and Plugins do not work on any of them.The only consludion I can draw is that PLUGINs dont work on Apple silicon.Has anybody here seen this before, ( I cant be the only one with this problem)? Why is this important?Plugins.. I NEED MY PLUGINS

I have an original full version of Adobe CS6 that I bought many years ago from Adobe.  I now use their Creative Cloud All Apps.   I video tape our church service and author the DVD of the service and have been doing this for several years.  I still use Adobe Encore program from CS6 because I’m used to it and it meets my needs.  As you know, Adobe stopped making Encore and no longer support it either.  Several months ago my main desk top computer crashed and I had to have a new motherboard installed so while I was having that done, I had them upgrade a few other components - basically a new computer.  When I got it back I tried to reinstall Encore from CS6 but I got a message that said I had installed on too many computers (I also have it installed on my backup desktop computer).  I could not uninstall it on the computer I was on because it crashed.  When I called Adobe to try and solve my problem I was told they no longer support Encore so t

I'm trying to update Photoshop to version 27.1. It starts at 1% and stops there for a while. Then it gets to 17% or 38% or 43%. In the meantime it totally freezes my computer. Then the update stops with the comment that there is an update for Photoshop. Only after the 20th or 30th attempt does it finally work.I have spoken to 4 different Adobe agents, none of whom were able to come with a solution.The problem is not my internet connection or speed, not my antivirus or firewall, not the driver of my graphics card, not my graphic card, not my hosts file. Totally removing and re-installing Creative Cloud Desktop didn't work either.This is not a recent problem. This happens during I would say the last 2 or 3 years. Under Windows 10 and Windows 11.I hope anyone knows a solution.

Environment:- macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 (Apple Silicon)- Photoshop (latest)- Wacom Pen TabletIssue:- With GPU enabled, Liquify is very laggy ONLY when using a Wacom pen tablet.- Liquify is smooth with a mouse or trackpad.- Normal brush tools are smooth with the pen.Workaround:- Disabling “Use Graphics Processor” makes Liquify smooth with the pen,but causes other Photoshop features to become slow or unavailable.Summary:This looks like a Liquify-specific GPU/Metal pen input issue on macOS.The problem is fully reproducible.

I have looked at multiple YouTube tutorials but can't find an answer.If I am drawing a shape, and I make one curved line from point A to point B, when I make point C, how do I make the line curve in a different direction? In the screenshot, I would like the second line (from point B to C) to go along the red dotted line.Thank you in advance! 

Why would you have a limit on generative Ai and not tell anyone? Furthermore, why would you think that was okay? did you think it was "good" enough to limit? because i can tell you right now i go through at least 50 generative Ai requests before it even comes remotely close to what i'm asking for. So please enlighten me on why you would think it was a good idea to not even have a generic free version like the first one you put up? because at least that would help smaller issues. Like background replacing and such. You have set me back at least a few weeks on something that couldve been done within a day. Shame on you.

I will soon move to a new computer. I am moving from a 2017 Intel iMac running Ventura to a Mac M4Pro Mini running sequoia or Tahoe. It will arrive Monday and if it has Sequoia, I will update to Tahoe as a first step in setting up. I am a Creative Cloud subscriber, all my apps are current —except for LR which no longer is updated for my machine—so I plan to simply download to the new machine a new install of my apps from CC.1) How do I best handle moving my LR catalogs from the old machine to the new one?2) And my second question is about PS plugins. On my current machine I have multiple versions of PS, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026. Can I copy and transfer the most recent plugins from PS to the new install on the new machine, or is there some other process? I also plan to do new installs of those apps referenced in PlugIns, eg the Topaz suite and Q Image One. If I do that would they automatically install the plugins making my effort to move them unnecessary?Appreciate any advice and TIA

As of 1:00 PM PST today. Topaz Gigapixel for Generative Upscale giving an error message: "We have encountered an issue and cannot complete your request at this time. Please try again.  I'm running lattest version of PS 2026 27.1.0. I've tried signing out of Cretive Cloud signing back in, restarting both PS and my computer, also cleared using Edit-Purge-Clear All Cache. I only get this error message when trying to use the new "Topaz Gigapixel" upscaling. This feature was working just fine earlier today. I can still use the "Firefly Upscaler" at both 2x and 4x. I'm testing this feature for my company and need to get this fixed asap. Any help fixing this asap would be much appricated.  

Is there anyone who works with transparent backgrounds in Photoshop and video, where the background of the video should be transparent? I have a video sequence downloaded from Stock (Green background) - where I can't get an alpha channel to work. I've tried both with video and with converting the video to a smart object. I've also tried with a video from Firefly - where I've added two video clips (Foreground video and alpha channel video) But I don't get the option to turn on the alpha channel.How does this works? Please help me ...

I want to provide feedback (and a complaint) about the generative AI features in Photoshop. I am a paying Creative Cloud subscriber, and I have been using the generative tools that require Firefly generative credits.The main issue is that the generated faces do not resemble the reference faces or descriptions I provide. No matter how carefully I prepare the prompt or reference, the output faces come out completely different. As a result, I am repeatedly wasting generative credits on unusable results.Because I pay a monthly subscription and a limited number of generative credits are included, this feels frustrating and poor value.
