Questions

I have installed Photoshop Elements 2021 on a PC with Windows 10.  In the Organizer, the top tool bar does not function.  For example, clicking on Edit does not bring up any options.  Also, if I click on a folder and right click, nothing happens either,  I imported a file that is causing some sort of problem and then the program freezes.  I want to delete the folder, but have no way to delete it. 

I am trying to remove the white background from a photo of a needle so I can use the needle as a graphic on a t-shirt. I have tried to use a few of the solutions here, but I can't find the items they suggest, such as the "magic wand", and the "Select" menu doesn't work, apparently because the background is not a layer. Also, most suggestions are for previous versions of Photoshop Elements. I am using(or more accurately, attempting to use) Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021. Below is the photo I am trying to use(I apologize for the size).

Hello,This applies to Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer 2020 (V18) running on Windows 10. I tend to use the Watched Folder feature to add new pictures.  It works very well but I've noticed a bug/feature that I'd like help with. I've found that if I add new pictures to a watched file and then start organizer, it alerts me and asks me to import said files.  If I choose to cancel this alert (so I can do it at a later date when I have more time) then I never get a second chance to import the pictures, no matter what I do. I performed the following test just to be sure this was a consistent issue:1. Added new picture file to a watched folder2. Started Elements Organizer3. I was alerted me to the new file via the Watched Folder D, clicked Cancel4. Restarted Elements Organizer (several times) but no further notification recieved.  Tried a reboot too.  My questions are:1. Is this normal behaviour or a bug?2. Can I force the watched folder feature to ide

Going from HP Envy W10 with Elements 2021 to new MacBook Pro 16.Can I just install elements to the new Mac then use my external hard drive backup from the old pc?

If I upgrade from Elements 2018 to 2021, will all my third-party plugins be carried over automatically?

I just installed photoshop elements 2021. I was using photoshop elements 2015 and have used previous versions since 2000 or thereabouts. About 22,000 pictures are in the "2015" organizer. "2021" told me the catalog had to be converted. Fine, it was backed up in January. But at the end of the conversion it advised me files were corrupted and to do something. Only 9,174 photos were moved actually moved into "2021." Even worse, the folders list and the people tags were not moved so all I have is a 9,174 picture blackhole with no road map. I have PE 2019 and I'd like to get rid of the lines inside the image I'm trying to crop. I find them very distracting. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

Hi,I got a new PC and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. When I start the Software, the Message appears: Activation Limit reached described here:https://helpx.adobe.com/at/x-productkb/policy-pricing/error-activation-limit-reached-sign.html I tried to deactivate the Software on the old PC, but something went wrong. So the old is deactivated now, but I still can't activate the Software on the new PC. This looks like a bug. I was happily using PSE 2021 Mac's Straighten tool with the 'Grow or Shrink' option selected and PSE auto-filling the edges, when all of a sudden it cut off the top of my image. I've attached before and after captures that show this. After some playing around, it looks like the problem was PSE got confused by the white (overexposed) sky, because when I filled the sky in with a color the Straighten tool behaved normally, and then got confused again when I reset the sky to white. Has anyone else seen this? I'm using the latest update (20210126.m.155261 x64) on a 2019 iMac (MacOS 11.2.1).

When I'm import pictures (.JPG) made with a Samsung S20 Ultra, the pictures with the higher resolution (12000x9000 - size about 28Mb) don't have thumbnails. The other imported pictures are working well (thumbnails are present).What can I do ? thanks for help 

[Moderator moved from Using the Community (forums) to Photoshop Elements.]   Hi, I'm trying to print 4 x 6 borderless photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 printer.  I can't find borderless settings (which my printer may not have) but it's not even printing a full 4 x 6 with a border, see the wide gray area on the side and the custom settings won't go larger than 3.48 x 4.48 for some reason.  I had the same printer in an 8600 prior to this one and I didn't have this problem then.  Any help would be appreciated!  Or any recommendations for a good printer that will print 4 x 6 and other size photos borderless.  Thank you in advance!  

how do maintain original shoot date when modifying a photo?

I just purchased the 2021 PSE and did the disc install on my 6 month old Mac mini with Big Slur. At completion of install, there was an update message, which I performed. The problem I experienced is when there are two files open, showing side by side. I attempted to drag a layer from one file to the other, and crash, it quit. I have reopened it and repeated the process again, crash. Is this a known bug?Your help is appreciated.

just downloaded the PE trial, When I bring up my files to work place , i have  no minimize button to move the file to panel bin . I do have the close button .. I had PS 6 for many years so i'm trying to simulate into PE..real newbe  dummy here . thk/u,nils..

When  in the Photoshop Elements 2021 Editor, a popup stating that :"You have a new update!" This is an update for Photoshop Elements: with an Install Now or Install upon exit.  Unfortunately the install stops at 6% stating that there is an Update Conflict.Please save your work and close the following programs for all logged in users, then click "Continue"Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021(Error Code 131)Quit    Continue Help??thanks,

Downloaded 2019 Elements from Adobe.  Using windows operating system.  Downloaded with no problems and no error messages.  Tried to open both organizer and photo editor from the home/start page but just get circling little circle for about 45 seconds to a minute.  Nothing happens. No error messages.  Looked a forums and updated video drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled but same result.  The purchase shows up on my adobe account, so I don't think that serial number verification was a problem.  Any ideas? 

I am on a Mac Mini M1 and have installed PSE 2021. Any slider that I come across has the right side of it disappear off the screen. I go to full screen and they are still off the screen. I go to regular view and the same thing. I try to readjust the window the sliders are in but to no avail. If I go to regular view and pull the entire PSE window to the left, I can get 100% out of the slider. But, my cursor goes past the working window. In some cases I have to pull the PSE window to the left so much that I cannot tell what the slider is actually doing to the photo. It happens with all sliders.

Hi! My name is Courtney. I am very new to Photoshop, so bear with me. I am working on a very special project for my daughter. I have already purchased a book of scrapbook paper from The Paper Studio and was told I can scan and save as a jpg file. Is there a way to upload my existing paper to use with Photoshop Elements or InDesign? I basically want to digital scrapbook and crop, click, and drag onto the paper. Nothing fancy! Also, I have a Chromebook, so I'm not sure if I can download Elements or InDesign on it. I have searched the internet for some guidance, but apparently, I have no clue what questions to ask.  I really appreciate your time! I just purchased photoshop elements 2019 and would like to create a slide show.   Most of my pictures in organizer have captions and I would like to use those captions when creating a slide show.  This was available using older versions of photoshop, but how do I do that with 2019.   I see you can add the captions again in the slideshow but I want to use what is already on my photos.   Help

Hi all First time posting to this discussion group, and my apologies for the length of this post. Question: Is anyone using Photoshop Elements 2020 to write labels directly to printable CDs using a Canon PIXMA TS700 series inkjet printer? Background: For 13 years I was using an Epson R280 inkjet to print labels directly to printable CDs.  Never used the Epson CD label designing software, always used PE 12, upgraded to PE 2020 about a year ago.   Disliked PE’s Create CD label software, always printed from a template I got from Riverwood Photography a long time ago, and I don’t remember how I managed before that. Epson label printing finally became treacherous: text ghosting and stray marks on the label.   Ditched the Epson, bought a Canon PIXMA TS702.   Didn’t install the ‘My Image Garden’ CD label software (everyone seems to hate it), and don’t like ‘Easy PhotoPrint Editor’ which I find clunky and inflexible.   I **s

Selbst ein bereits vorhandener Name wird gelöscht. Wie kann ich erreichen, dass PSE keinen Namen vergibt?

I purchased photoshop elements 2021 & installed it on my desktop, everything seemed to be working OK until a few days ago, when ever I try to open it now I get a pop up message saying sign in required. I purchased the software because I am not always connected to the internet.Think it may have started to do this after an update so wondering if there is a setting that has been changed, hoping someone can help as I don't want to have to sign in each time I use the software.

 The Editor PLACE command defaluts to THIS PC>PICTURES, I would like to change this to a different path. I have attached a pdf which shows you what my intent is. Is it possible? 

Hi, I often change over temporarily to the Zoom Tool while another tool is active in the Toolbox using the Ctrl + Spacebar shortcut. More often than not, I'll then drag a marquee around the area I want to zoom in on. Unlike in Photoshop where the zoom happens instantly, in Photoshop Elements 2021 on my Windows 10 machine, I have to release the keyboard shortcut before Photoshop Elements zooms in. That means I'm constantly having to hold down, then release the keyboard shortcut. In Photoshop, you can hold down the keyboard shortcut for as long as you need to. Even more strange, using the same keyboard shortcut, when you perform a normal zoom by clicking on the screen  Photoshop Elements does not perform the first zoom instantly; you can keep clicking and it does zoom in, then when you release the keyboard shortcut, it finally does the first zoom. The Zoom Tool works just as expected when selected in the Toolbox, and so does holding down the Ctrl key to get the t
