I have a video that is 720x460, so in creating the project I made it the same size. I loaded the media file, edited it, and exported the file. The resulting file is 720x460, but instead of full screen, the resulting video is about half the size, with black borders all the way around. Why is this happening, and how can I prevent it from shrinking the size of the display?
I run Win 10, and have Premiere Elements 19 as well as Photoshop Elements.I have used these programs frequently on both desktop and laptop. Yesterday on my desktop (my main workhorse) I booted the program up and got the spash page but when I clicked on Premiere Elements, it suggests there was w configuration error and to try rebooting the system. I ahve done this numerous times, to no avail. Please help.. (It works fine on my laptop).WP
Hi, I'm working with Premiere Elements 14 and for some reason, it has begun to constantly crash when working with multiple video layers. It seems fine any other time, but once I get 3-4 layers going, it's only a few seconds before it inevitably crashes. This is puzzling because I've used it for years without this happenning before. I'm running windows 10, Intel i7-8700, 16 GB ram, 64-bit OS, and have tried common fixes like restarting etc. Thanks if anyone can help.
Does Premiere Elements 2020 play nice with Dolby Sound? For the past few years, Adobe and Dolby have not played nice with each other and Adobe stopped supporting Dolby Sound, so those of us with investments in higher end camcorders with Dolby sound are out of luck except for going back to using Adobe Premiere Elements 15 which was the last version to support Dolby.

I have a 40 min project with intermixed video clips and individual images. I have tried the remedies provided in the forum with no success. Finally I deleted all 12 clips leaving only images and STILL GOT THE SAME error message preventing me from exporting the remainder of my film. I hate to go back to scratch and recreate the project if I have a permanent error condition.

I just installed APE 19. I am running Windows 10 PE 64 Bit. My Video Card is LG FULL HD(1920x1080@60Hz) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (EVGA). I have tons of memory. After importing a video file of any type, I cannot play the Video. I get no messages, it just doesn't play. I have tried MP4, AVCHD, MP2 AND DVD-NTSD. To import I used ADD Media and the clips are in Project Assets. I pull the clip into the timeline in Expert Mode. The clip appears on the timeline, both video and audio. If I move the marker along the, video appears in play and changes as I move on the timeling. The only problem is it will not play. I have read information in help but have not been able to make to find anything that fixes this. I am guessing this is some simple setting that is not correct or something like that but this is my first use of APE.
I want to understand how to view a video klipp in real time playback, not 1.5 or faster. This is crucial when defining the sound corrections.Using the short commands J, L or the arrows never decreases the speed to 1.Any ideas someone? This is version 18.0 or also known as 2020 on a Windows 10 Pro machine
Up to now I've been running Premiere elements on Windows and saving my complete videos to an external hard drive I've now switched to a Mac book and bought the new software, all running great, but when I come to save the completed video to the hard drive it won't do it Any suggestions?
A couple of months ago, all of the sudden I could not import video files created on my iPhone 11 using Adobe Elements Organizer. I am getting the error message: "the file is damaged or is in a format that cannot be included in elements organizer." I was able to use a 3rd party tool to export the video files from my iPhone to my workstation which worked (they are .MOV files). And I can play those video files using Windows media player with no issue. When I try to import the .MOV from my local folder I get the same Adobe error as one mentioned above. I downloaded the HEVC video extention (as part of the error message directed me to the Adobe site with those instructions.) I verified the HEVC extention has been installed and I am still getting the error. Help!
I'm using Premiere Elements 11.I used to have the capability to toggle this on and off, but maybe I lost it when I last changed versions or maybe it was in iMovie or VegasWhen I select and drag a clip in the timeline to another point in the timeline, it moves just that clip and then overlays it on whatever I drop it on, replacing the content. What I want to be able to do is, select a clip and drag it to the right on the timeline and have everything after it to pushed WITH it. This creates a gap in the timeline ahead of the selected clip. It makes re-arranging clip order or adding additional clips mid timeline SOOO much easier. How do I enact this setting as default? I don't like selecting all of the clips to the right of the clip in question each time.
I dont want a newer version. I'd like to carry on using 15 version
I simply wish to edit a video and then render it WITHOUT it having a black frame. I have Prem Elem 15 but rarely use it because of the above problem. I wish to replace/upgrade my Adobe Photo/Prem Elements but must be able to SIMPLY edit a video and render it keeping the same size/format/etc as the original! (today i have to resort to a Snagit grab inside the added frame!). Will the latest level software help me??? Peter.

Hello, I'm redoing stuff to old Premiere Elements projects. I now have Premiere Elements 13 with the latest updates. I was able to open an old prel file I think from version 7 but I have some from later versions. The project opened fine and so I started working on it. I saved the project, all fine. Now when I try to open the project file all the media seems to load (according to the status bar) but I get the following error: The project is not compatible with the current version of premiere elements A new project is then started with none of the media or anything in the timeline. I have backups of the prels but I'm hoping I haven't lost the time I've put into making changes. Regardless, what's going on and how can I resave these prel's so they open OK again? As I said they opened first time, but seem to get corrupted after a save. Is there any way to
I'm using a 15-month old iMac running Mojave 10.14.6 I've just upgraded to Elements 2020. Immediately after downloading I succesfully opened all three components; Premier, Photoshop and Organiser. I carried out a couple of quick checks and edits then exited all of them. When I returned shortly after I was again able to reopen Photoshop and Organiser but with Premier I could get no further than the welcome screen. When I click on the Premier icon a message with a spinning wheel appears stating that it is opening the Adobe Premier Workspace but, after a minute or more, the message disappears and only the welcome screen remains. I should add that when I was able to open Premier that first time I then loaded a project I had been working on with my previous Elements, version 13. The project loaded successfully and I experimented with a couple of quick edits. They went OK but when I tried to use 'Audio Gain' and 'Normalise' Premier crashed.
For the past 20 weeks I have been editing our pastor’s sermons using Premiere Elements 2020 (folder is labeled as 18?) Yesterday I discovered that if I save a project, when I re-open it, the video looks choppy, almost animated. I thought perhaps it was just a problem with the timeline previews but when I exported a section to MP4 (H.264), the exported MP4 video was also choppy. I discovered that if I keep the project open until completion and then export, the video appears fine. To test if the project or video was corrupted, I started a new timeline with raw video from the previous week which had been fine. Same result – everything is good while the project is open but once I save and close the project, when re-opened, the video is choppy. Tried additional video footage with the same result. No Project Settings or Preferences have been knowingly changed. Laptop specs: HP Spectre, Windows 10 v1909, i7 10th gen / 16GB RAM / 500 GB SSD / nvidia GeForce MX250 (not set as default for
After updateing to Windows 10 v2004, Premiere Elements 14 could no longer use Game Bar screen captures in the mp4 format. I downloaded the trial version of Premiere Elements 2020 and it can't either. When the mp4 is brought into the Expert timeline, the bottom half of the video is green and a repeat of the top half. I tried to run it through VLC convert to see if saving it as a mp4 there would help, and it did - except that the audio was slow and by the end of the video it was completely out of sync.
Hi, I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 2013. I've been renderig a large project in batches to avoid over heating my computer. I.E. Render ten hours of footage, save, shut down & wait till the next day. I've now done this for 20 hours worth of footage, & as I'm in the middle of hours 20-30 my drive becomes disconected. I quickly quit out of Premiere knowing that I've lost what was in progress, but can accept that. However when I log back on after reconnecting, it shows I have to rerender EVERYTHING. Even stuff that had been saved previous days. I have on my external hard drive Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files which is 264.4 GBS so I know the render files are there still. Now I need help on how to reconnect them so I don't have to waste all this time/computer power again. Please help me.Thanks
Unfortunately I bought Premiere Elements 2020 and made a very bad experience: No chance to produce Blu-ray discs anymore!!! That is a real worst case scenario for me and the software is not usable for me. That is extremely annoying. Fortunately I bought a full version and not an update, so I still have my Elements 14 with which I can produce Blu-ray discs without problems. However, Adobe is dead for me, I'll never buy a software from them again and I don't use any other Adobe programs anymore. Bye bye Adobe, keep your scrap yourself! [title edited by mod for clarity]
I've been editing on Elements for four months and starting this week, Elements won't load any GoPro footage shot at 60fps or higher(GX files...). I can still view the files in preview, but don't have a clue why even older footage is now having this problem.
I am running Windows 10 and Elements 2019 and when printing any file type get a message "Could not print 'file.name' because of a program error. I have tried the other suggested solutions and none work. Any recommendations?Thank you.
I have been using Premiere Elements 10 for several years. Suddenly last week I received an error message while trying to render a project to a file. The message says, "You do not have permission to create or delete the output file." Never seen this before. It will only allow me to render to Adobe Flash, not mpeg, avi or windows. I have the software on two different computers, one on Windows 7 and one on Windows 10. Both are showing the same error. Has something changed with my license?
