Premier Elements does not import variable frame rate video correctly. The audio and video gets out of sync and if you have multiple sources the video will get out of sync between them over time. This is a long running problem which still doesn't appear to be fixed in the newest version. There are literally dozens of posts here from users struggling with this problem. The usual workaround suggested here is to convert the footage using handbrake or some other conversion tool to fixed frame rate H264. I have used this successfully several times but there are still a few major issues with it.1. Handbrake is a complex tool with dozens of settings for the conversion. I am not confident I know the best settings to just retain the original quality and output fixed frame rate. I think it would be good to have a forum post here with input from those with expertise in this area.2. Even assuming the conversion to H264 is flawless, H264 itself doesn't seem
Hello,I recently imported some GoPro Hero 7 footage, shot at 4k 60fps into Elements Organiser 2018 but the videos do not play, auto does but there's no footage shown. Is there a way to resolve this? A codec that can be downloaded or something? From what I understand reading here it's related to it being shot in H.265 which is not supported by Premiere Element, and I assume Organiser either. Would be great to have this fixed as I do have Premiere Pro which I assume I can use for editing but Organiser is so good for organising and finding videos & photos that I would not want to lose the use of it.
Greetings,I looked in the forums and saw a posting and answer on this problem back in 2014, now 5 years later I am posting the same question in hopes that there is a solution out there. I read ATR's problem solving and it was long and it sounded complicated. So all of that said is there a way that I can loop a DVD and burn it with PE 12 other than keep adding it to the time line?I could put my files into Windows Movie Maker and that works for the picture files, but as far as the music goes I have edited it on the timeline in Adobe and not sure it there is a way to do that in Movie Maker, it there might be please let me know because I believe that I can set a loop in Movie Maker. As I said on the subject heading I am going to play this on a lap top, so I don't have the option to hit replay on a DVD player. Thanks
Hello,I want to start by saying that I can usually muddle my way through techy things but I don't know all the terminology so please bear with me.I am trying to edit a VOB video that came from a DVD. I can see the video on PE2019 but the audio is not working. When I play the VOB video on VLC Media Player the audio works perfectly. Also, when I play a more recent video that has MP4 audio on PE2019 it works fine. So, to me this means that there is no problem with the VOB video and there's no problem with PE2019 but the two don't work together. I saw other discussions about this same problem but I can't find any that were actually resolved. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to use a conversion program but if that's the case then I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me which program to use and which format to convert it to.I've attached a snapshot of the MediaInfo details from my VOB video in case that helps.Oh, and my computer runs on Window
After intense anger and frustration, I made my first test clip. I emailed it to my phone. I can't save it, text it or share it. Every other clip people send goes right to my photo folder. It was made on Elements 15 and sent to iPhone. I am stuck Title was edited by: Mod

Hi. I'm using Premiere Elements 15. When I try to open a saved video project (a .prel file) to continue editing, it only gives me the option to skip or "skip all". That results in offline files being opened on the timeline. Any ideas on how to fix this? I obviously don't want to have to start editing from scratch every time I need to edit a project in progress. Also, where would I find updates for Premiere Elements 15?Thanks
I happened to notice a fairly large discrepancy in exported file sizes when I accidentally exported the same .prel file to an .mp4 file on two different computers using identical Export settings. In theory, both computers should have produced files that were fairly close in size, however one computer produced an .mp4 file that is about 40% larger than the other. All other .prel files I tried exhibit similar discrepancies between the two computers. Interestingly, a third computer that is identical to the second produces a file identical in size to that produced by the second computer.I have approximately 200 .prel files to export to .mp4, so I want to split the exports between all three computers to speed up the process. I also need to make sure the exported file sizes are as small as possible for the selected resolution, format and quality, so I can conserve storage space when I upload them to Google Drive.First, I checked the edit preferences on all three compu
Please help...Premiere Elements used to do the leg work for me and help me make sure I had the correct project settings. This no longer happens. When I add a movie clip to the Expert view timeline, Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 DOESN'T automatically changes project settings in the background to match the clip properties. The clip has an orange line above. Thanks for any insight.I am running on Windows 10 and have tried reinstalling and resetting preferences.
Dear Adobe Community,(Computer spec's listed at the end) For over a year I have been experiencing automatic computer reboots occasionally while working on video editing in Premiere Elements - previously version 12 and most recently version 15. It also happened while working in PowerPoint, so it is not unique to the software. For that reason I have been troubleshooting it with a general tech support forum here. I also hadn't been so proactive about it as it was happening rarely enough not to affect my workflow too much. On my most recent project, however, I can't work on part of my video for more than a few seconds before an automatic reboot triggers. The current project is HD 1080p 60fps video with mostly pictures, music, and basic animation. The problem is when I want to use some video within this movie. The video is HD 1080p 30fps, so I thought potentially the frame rate difference was putting some kind of strain on my system resulting in a reboot. The pictures part of the video is f
Elements 19 on Windows 10 - When I try to record, I get this message. I press the continue button but if I try to do anything else I am get the Windows message that elements is not responding I am using a Microsoft USB headset. Searching the help screens I hit a roadblock because they apparently haven't been updated to Elements 19. They refer to "Device Menu" which apparently exists only in previous versions. My alternative mic is a Blue Snowball which is also USB. I'm grateful for any help.
Hi,Is there an intention to add support soon for H265 format ?I'd really like to buy the Premiere Elements but the lack of support for this format hinders me, since I have a lot of video I shot with H265 with my camera and wouldn't like to go through the burden of transforming them to H264 format.ThanksTitle was edited by: Moderator
I'm able to open the Organizer, but is it. No video editor at all. I said initially that I have to re instal it. I did a number of times. Can anyone help? Thanks
Hi,I have Premier Elements 14 and it wont download the photo or video editing tools.[Discussion moved from Photoshop Elements to Premiere Elements]
My notebook is having an onboard intel UHD Graphics 620 and a GeForce MX150.I have set the geforce as standard and also tried the "start with geforce" option, but Premiere Elements 2018 is always using the internal graphic chip. How can I work with the geforce? (More processing power and RAM for rendering expected)Kind regardsJohannes
I'm looking for help for the following case in Premiere Elements 2018:- I'm using 3 tracks: Video 1 (Main Clips), Video 2 (Title), Music (Music).- I'm putting the raw clips to video 1, adding a song to music and then I'm working with the video clips to fit the music perfectly- If I'm moving a clip to the right to get some space in between, the program is cutting the elements in the music and Video 2 track- It seems that the tracks are linked to each otherHow to de-link them that I can work on the clips without impact to the music layer?Kind regardsJohannes
just purchase the 2019 adobe element and upon downloading it when open the system is crashing and will not allow me to open the video editor. My computer specs are up to date and currently running with quad core, 16 gb, at 2.60ghz
i added a video clip with a audio and a second audio clip on the timeline. (lets say for convenience sake video clip with audio as 'A' and second audio clip as 'B'). I synchronized the audio of A and B. Next, I unlinked A and linked A and B together. After that, I tried cutting all the video & audio at once using the razor tool. However it seems that I cannot cut all of them (video and audio) at the same time, even though it is all linked. Is there anything I am doing wrong? (razor blade: I just clicked the razor blade symbol next to the timeline).
Hi together,we are opening this discussion for a customer of us and Premiere Elements 2018 is not supportet by Adobe itself...The customer want's to cut a video in 16:9 with PAL material recorded by a DV-cam on SD-Card. (File info below)Every single video viewed in varios players (Windows Media Player, Win10 Movie & TV, Media Player Classic, etc.) has the correct aspect ratio 16:9 with no bars.Is the video importet in Premiere Elements 2018 (version details see below) he get's a 16:9 project with a 4:3 and bars left and right (see screenshot below). We tried to manual set the project settings and "Force Selected Project Setting" - same result with every Setting...Kind RegardsMartin Ecker (SCHAUX eU)
I have a video where the narrator was not very close to the camera and its built-in mike. I don't understand the various audio filters. Can anyone suggest ways to lower the echo and "sweeten" the sound? I am running Premiere Elements 2018 on a Mac.Mary Lou
Adobe Premiere Elements 15 will not accept my videos taken with my Mavic 2 Pro. I have had it in MOV and MP4. With MOV mode its says "importer reports generic error". MP4 mode states this type of file not supported. Elements had no problems with my P3P . Help please..
Hi,Apologies for the newbie question but I’ve searched the forum and can’t find an answer to this. I’ve recorded footage in 100fps and want to use it as slow motion in a 25fps video (PAL), combined with other footage shot at 25fps. Before I put it into the timeline, I’d like to trim the footage and cut frames from both the start and the end of the clip, as I do with all footage to ensure the overall video has the appearance I like. When I trim 25fps footage and export (save) the clips this is fine, but when I trim the 100fps and attempt to export (save) the clips I run into trouble as Premiere Elements will only allow me to export (save) the clip at a maximum of 50fps (or 60fps if I was in a NTSC region).Surely videographers edit 100/120fps footage all the time and save the clips for use in single or multiple projects, don’t they? Could anyone please tell me how I can save these edited clips and retain the original frame rate? I know the 100fps footage is going to be slowed down by 4x
This is probably a dumb question, but new to PE 2019 (formerly used PE 2018). When I try to preview a video, the bottom of video screen, with the video controls (Previous Edit, Rewind, Step Back, Play/Pause, etc) are blocked by a wide horizontal bar that has "Undo", "Redo", "Organizer" and "Home Screen." Each has an icon. (Screenshot below)How do I get rid of the bottom bar that's blocking access to the video preview controls? Never had this problem with PE 2018, so I suspect it's a setting somewhere, but where? I've resized the preview window from "fit" to smaller and smaller magnifications to no effect. Help! 🙂
