Questions

I want to create a new project with 9:16 aspect ratio but can't find any between the provided templates or edit the resolution of the project before or after that it has been created.  Any suggestion? 

Dear CommunityI created some Presets for Effects for Clips. I want to delete some of and - more importantly - backup those presets since I have to move them to a new PC.I searched my Harddrive for this presets (with no success) and I can't find any way in Premiere Elements to do this, nor in Elements Organizer, nor do I found any Information in Adobe Help or Google. Can anybody point me in the right direction, please? Thank you so much,Best,Florian

I filmed a few videos with my Google Pixel 7 and wanted to edit them in premiere elements 2021, but I keep getting the same error message: HEVC and HEIF media cannot be added, the tips from the linked page didn´t yield any succes.What can I do?Thanks

I have recently upgraded from Premiere Elements 2018 to 2021. This seems to have introduced an odd behavior when images are inserted (Add Image...) from the Text menu. It seems that, if the images are high resolution, then Elements now crops the image before insertion (in a centered fashion). I cannot find a way to undo this cropping (scaling just scales the cropped image). I can work around the problem by downsizing the image before inserting, but that is not very efficient. Note that the "Default scale to frame size" option does not seem to have any impact on what happens (same result whether checked or not). This cropping behavior was not present in 2018 (photos inserted were scaled to fit but didn't get cropped), so it seems like something has changed. Is there a different procedure that should be used? Is it a bug? I appreciate any suggestions that anyone might have. Thanks in advance.

To close a project and open another, I am forced to Exit the application and re-open it. Is this normal for Primiere Elements 2022? I downloaded this program with Photoshop Elements last year but am finally needing to use it now. Did I receive a bad download?

Well I hope I'm wrong, but the first thing we noticed after purchasing 10-Elements 2023 licenses was that burning to DVD is gone. The second thing we noticed is that most of the Audio FX are gone. This is an upgrade? Why does it appear that everytime you upgrade Adobe, you lose features? Nice upgrade!  

Hi All,I am a beginner, so please be kind to me... 😉 I am working on my parents old 8mm movies (made between 1958 - 1970), got them digitalized.I am adding "text(=names)" to the persons (old relatives) by making a "picture" (freezing the movie during 5 sec), works just great.BUT, when checking the movies, I realized that I have named some of them wrong - and I can't get hold of the text again, can not correct/change my added text !!!???Please, need some help.... 😉 /Christian

I am using Adobe Premier Elements 2022.After inserting a number of individual pieces of music only in my time line and then exporting the whole clip to a CD how do I click on my CD player to skip to certain tracks?

I bought Adobe Premiere elements 2023 to edit Youtube Videos.The most recent project has been the longest and most edited so far.Previous projects have crashed as i added more to it but they would eventually open up after a couple of attempts.The recent project crashes a few seconds after loading up and has continued to not open properly since, no matter how many attempts without an error message.However, clicking on an auto-save file by adobe thats the same project it opens up perfectly fine but it doesn't have the most recent edits.Before it opens a file opens asking 'where is file...?' which a file that doesn't exist so i press cancel each time. In the past thats never affected anything till now possibly?I can't find anything online about assisting with project crashing for Elements.

I installed 2023 photoshop and premiere months ago and made a new videoi (7 min).There has been a W10 update and an Adobe update. and now my work is gone. Nowhere the .prel to find.Gone. Help!

My Premier elements 12 will not start. When you click on 'Video editor', New project all I get is the Stripe bar underneath running but nothing else happens and the program will not start.I have tried reinstalling the program form the DVD but still get the same result.Please help.Regards Graham[title edited by mod]

Hey guys I just got Premier elements 2021, and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to unlock an audio track. I edit music videos for fun and have the music on audio one track, but every time I try and put down the edit video, the audio for the video will replace the audio that I have on track one please help

Hi, I want to export just a small clip from a long video to test the right output settings, and while I can see there is an option to "Share WorkArea Bar only", I can't see any way to add this workbar to my timeline...I've found the keyboard shortcut to use CMD+[ but this doesn't seem to work to add it, possibly because I'm using a German keyboard and the [ key requires pressing "alt gr" to access it.I've also searched the PREL manual and while it discusses using the Work Area Bar, it doesn't tell you how to add it!Anyway, this has been frustrating me for the past 20 minutes and I'm hoping someone can help me out!

Hi my elements 2023 stopped working on Windows 11 Pro.I have only starting page  and when i click Video Editor i have a message : Loading Adobe Premiere Elements Editor Workspace...  and it disapearPhotoshop works ok.  I try reinstall etc.  My 2014 version both Ps and Premiere works fine.  How can i get help  there is no live support on www.

Greetings, Just getting started with PE 2022.  I put an m2ts file into PE 2022 but when I play it to edit it in PE 2022 there is not soound.  When I play that file in other programs the sound is fine.  How do I get the sound track into PE 2022?  Do I have to convert it to a differnt file first to edit it with sound? Thank you.

I have downloaded the latest Premiere Elements. I have a new gaming computer running on Windows with all the specs to be able to edit on this program My previous computer with lesser capablities was able to handle it. I had a tech expert go through every option to try to solve the consitent problems. When I import my Go Pro clips to the timeline they tend to playback jittery at the beginning of the clip. If not then when I render then it gets worse Also when I import MP4's from my phone it won't support themIt must be noted by this stage I've scoured a lot of information tried many things Downloaded necessary codecs and spent a lot of time trying to solve this to no avail

I purchased the software combo and have activated Adobe Photoshop.  Now I am trying to use Premiere Elements, but it appears it did not activate with Photoshop.  I only have one redemption code and one serial number.  The serial number works for Photoshop, but not for Premiere Elements.  When trying to use Premiere Elements, I have access to the the first 2 tools, but the Video Editor asks for activation.  Is this normal?  Do I need to purchase something to make the video editor work?

Elements Organizer when loading says bitmap file is missing or is out of date which causes Organizer to not operate properly. I have Premier and Photoshop Elements 2023, starting Organizer from either app has the same problem. Do I uninstall both Apps and reinstall to fix the problem?  Thanks       Charles

I think there should be an option to bypass Home Screen and launch Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements apps directly from desktop. I know there is a way around by creating desktop shortcuts, but not everyone can do it.

Using Premiere Elements 2023: I have multiple video layers, and I am trying to adjust the position and scale of one layer by dragging the "handles" to zoom and reposition. I have a bunch of places I need to do this and other effects -- and I am on a tight deadline.  The problem is when I select Video 1 and click in the window to manipulate the video scale and position, the selection changes to the Video 2 layer and my adjustments are made on the wrong layer even if Video 2 is hidden. I am able to pan and zoom ok, but would prefer to control it with the "frame handles."  I also would like to understand why this is happening so that I understand the software better. Thanks for any tips!

These are the directories where current apps are being installed:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2023C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2023 I think C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2023 should be changed to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Elements 2023. I understand it is just cosmatic but it looks more professional. 

I recently upgraded my Premiere Elements from 2015 to the new 2023 version. It all works great until I go to transfer the rendered file (MP4) to a USB stick. The output MP4 file is 10.3GB. It plays just fine, but when I go to transfer to a blank 64GB USB stick, it says there is not enough room on the stick. I formated the stick ahead of time so it is blank. I tried this on 2 computers and I have the same problem. I failed on my Windows 10 desktop. I then archived the project to a USB stick and put it on my new Windows 11 laptop. Same problem. The error said the destination device was not large enough for the file MP4 file being transferred. I'm completely bewildred by this behavior. I believe it must be a Premiere Elements problem, not a Windows file system problem. I can transfer much larger files/folders of various types to and from the same computer and USB stick without a problem.  Any suggestions? Hi,I am a new Premiere Elements user and not particularly tech savvy, though I tried looking through prior posts for ideas. When I try to save a 30 second video with a few clips spliced together, it says "rendering media" and either goes to 2-5% or doesn't go anywhere at all and then sits there indefinitely until I have to manually ctrl+alt+del to shut it down. Per advice in a prior post with a similar issue, I tried a simple video with just two images and it worked fine. Here are the specs of my device: Device name laptopProcessor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U 1.70 GHzInstalled RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display It is relatively new and has 379 GB free. I am open to any suggestions/advice to solve this.
