Questions

I store all my media files on a hard-drive, which is almost full. So I transferred them across to a bigger hard-drive and gave the hard-drive the same name as the original hard-drive, which I though would enable Elements to find the media as before, but it doesn't. Is there anyway of getting Elements to believe this new drive is the old one? Clearly a name isn't enough.Thanks,Martin

The reason I use Premier Elements 11 and don't bother upgrading (aside from the fact that it's now subscription-based) is that the ISO feature has been removed, and I like to create Blu-Ray disks.How can I export a project so that it has a menu, chapters etc if I can't use a disk?

Everytime I try to export a 4K 50fps Video using the hardware acceleration the exported video is out of sync. Audio is ok but the video is running like 30fps in time loop - audio and video is out of sync completly and the lengths of the video grow by 1/3.Using the Software rendering the bug is fixed. strange. Mac Book Pro with M1 MaxAlso the editor with hardware acceleration show the wrong video length but play audio and videoin sync.Tried with different projects and Video sources - always reproducible. Anyone out there who has got the same problems / effects on a M1 Mac ? Looks like the codec parameters for rendering are not ok.

I have edited a couple of videos OK so far, but this set is puzzling me. The videos are from an iPhone 11 Pro and are 1280 x720, 29.98 fps, mp4 files. PC is a Dell Inspiron 7700AIO running Windows 11.  The video thumbnails appear in the timeline and can be viewed and edited in the clip window. But they are pixelated when viewed in the main edit window, or hey don't play at all (black screen) When I dropped the video onto the timeline, the editing mode changed to AVCHD 720p square pixel.

Hi, is it possible to import a SRT file into Premiere Elements and then hardcode it to my reel?

Simple question, I think, but one for which I can't find an answer:How do I crop a video? I'm not asking about trimming or making clips of the video. Instead, I have a video where I want to discard the bottom 25% of the video image for the entirety of the video. I'm not seeing a way to do this.Thanks for any help.

Premier Elements 2018(version 16 20171217)macos 10.13.2, mid 2015 macbook proi7, 16gb ram, iris proworking with mp4 video.after creating a pan & zoom and clicking 'done', premier freezes and crashes. The mac volleyball spins endlessly, and premier must be force quit. The feature is unusable as it. Really sad as this is such a basic feature to not work correctly. You would expect the basic things to work on the basic version of the software $100 is still a lot of money to waste on this.i saw there are other posts for this issue but no comments from adobe, any way this can get acknowledged by anyone else?

I am mostly editing and exporting videos of 480p, but no matter the quality, the sharpness of the images is lower after exporting.  Even if I match the source resolution and set the Quality bar to "high" (9 Mpbs), or if I use Custom export with VBR 2 Pass and set the target bitrate to the original file with the Max bitrate double that, there is still a noticable drop of image sharpness when comparing with the original file. There are video files that even as low as 700 Kpbs Data Rate still have great quality, resolution, and sharpness, yet after editing and exporting, even if they've been converted by Handbrake, are still losing image quality. What am I not doing?

When I try to import a recent .MOV file, I get the message—"The importer reported a generic error." and the file is not imported into Premiere Elements. Any ideas how to correct this? Thanks!

p e 2021 still on old laptop, installed on newe laptop windows 11, logged in in adobe id, when activating on the new laptop with teh serial number existing everytime the answer no connection with the internet, deinstalled and innstalled again, but still the message, then activited as trial version . The solution????  

Hi, Using Premiere Elements 2023, I have sound syncing issue with MTS files, added as-is to the timeline matching clip's setting. The sound is approx 1-sec off which is important for music shooting. It is offsync  right from start and pretty consistantly until the end of a 10 minutes clip. Here are the file properties:  I have no sync issue with other files like this .MOV file:  Could the issue be related to the MTS file audio format? Thanks.

Just starting out using this programme. When using Expert or Quick View to insert a transition between two adjacent clips (no gap) the transition appears to be correctly inserted but it has no apparant effect when scrolling or just playing. I have tried extending length to 3 sec and alternative transitions.What am I doing wrong? (I am familiar with other editing programmes such as Power Director)

Can anybody tell me whether Elements 11 will work on the latest Mac OS? I'm buying a new iMac and want to use this old version of Elements on it.Thanks,Martin

I'm using a Mac with Premiere Elements 14 and trying to burn an ISO image. I've never had a problem before - I've done many - but today I'm getting the message "Insufficient disk space on drive for creating temporary burning files" and don't know how to fix it. Where do I find the temporary files folder on a Mac?  Do I simply need to delete everything there? If I uninstall Elements and then reinstall it, will the problem go away? Help desperately needed!Thanks, Martin

My m/c is a Dell Insiron 7700 AIO running Windows 11. I have 2 display drivers both have their own respective display drivers.So why is there a problem? See attached files. 

Hi, I have a problem starting my Premiere Elements 15 software. It suddenly stopped working. I tried to re-install it but the same problem occures. When I start, I get a popup asking me to sign in. Ok, I sign in.Then another popup tells me to either buy / license / start trial. I of course give the license key. The next popup tells me to sign in... and the vicious circle is ready. What should I do? Thanks in advance! Best,Tommi from Finland

I'm not sure if "Lock" is the right term.I have a video clip that is chroma key or videomerge and now the picture on another layer is visible.Is it possible to lock or sync these two layers together so if I want to pan or resize the video layer the picture will also pan and resize as well. This way it looks like a complete consistent scene.Thanks for the help!

Bonjour J'essaie d'ouvrir un projet et j'ai toujours le même message "Une erreur inconnue s'est produite pendant l'ouverture du projet"Lorsque j'ouvre l'endroit où le projet est automatiquement stocké je n'ai rien. J'ai dû faire une recherche dans mon ordi afin de le voir mais dans le dossier il n'apparait pas.J'ai copié le projet et je l'ai collé dans un autre dossier mais je ne suis quand même pas capable de l'ouvrir. Que puis-je faire pour ne pas tout perdre et revoir dans le dossier tous les projets et surtout pouvoir ouvrir à nouveau les .prel ? J'ai fermé Adobe Première Élément et je l'ai ouvert à nouveau mais c'est toujours le même message d'erreur lorsque je viens pour ouvrir le projet. 😞 Merci de votre aide. 

Hey guys, i'm really an amatuer in this field and im trying to do my first own film of a vacation i just had. I'm doing a pretty fast transition from picture to picture and lining them up with an underlying music track. It is really annoying to clip every picture one by one into the correct length and add it up to the track thats why i wanted to ask: Is there a way to build a mask in premier elements which i can use to save some working effort. The musical pattern repeats itself after like 20 seconds and i wanted to know if there is a way that i build a model or mask once for the first 20 seconds and the first number of pictures and then use this and just have to input the next number of picture without having to line them up to the music again?  I hope it became clear what i meant, Thanks in advance , Tim

I recently purchased Premier Elements 2023.  I just finished a slideshow and when I click Export and Share, there is no disc option.  Only Quick export, Devices, Social Media, Audio, and Image.  I thought maybe something was wrong with my burner so I opened Premier Elements 2019 instead.  I loaded and saved Slideshow and went though the steps as if I was going to burn it.  The disc option is there.  It even listed my exact burner.  I'm at a loss.  

Hello,I'm trying to enhance an old VHS capture using Premiere Elements and I don't know what to to to fix the kind of "color bleach" that is visible (see picture). Any advice ? 

I purchased Premire Elements 2023 and when trying to do a quick export it totally locks up my computer. I have reinstalled the software and still it does not work.
