Questions

I have about 100 raw clips that were received upside down and flipped.  While I normally use Media Encoder to export them at 180 degress, I am not able to flip footage in encoder and have to go to premiere.  While it is simple enough to apply the "Flip" effect, I now need to export the clips individually and have them maintain their source timecode.  This is so editors will be able to match the hi-res footage with the proxy or raw files during edit as the clips will be distributed for multiple projects. Any suggestions on the most efficient way to go about this?

I have worked with 4K footage on two projects recently that are incredibly laggy and using >90% CPU usage.  This did not used to happen. I have seamlessly worked on 4k and 6k footage in HEVC encoding in premiere projects with no issue, adding transitions and effects.  Now I can't even scrub through a timeline of just footage without serious lag and I'm not sure what could be causing it. I attempted to change the encoding of files from HEVC to ProRes which helped but it also quintupled my file size which isn't sustainable.  Oddly, when I go back into older projects with similar footage and codecs there are no issues, it works smoothly, which makes me think the projects must be corrupted, however when I tried copying and pasting the footage across into a new project I got the same issues. I have tried updating premiere, updating windows, clearing my media cache, keeping my preview window at 1/8 quality, ensuring hardware encoding is enabled and setti

Since the usage of premiere pro 2025, my mac crashes and freezes, since the volumes get to over 50GB, even though i am working with a very small project. It happens after a while and i dont know why. Never had this problem with the other Premoere Pro versions. I also cannot export. Very strange. I also have enough storage on my mac...

I'm currently editing a podcast recording featuring three individuals, each equipped with their own microphone. While the setup ensures clear audio for all speakers, it presents a challenge during the editing process. Each microphone captures the voices of all participants, making it tedious to manually mute/unmute audio tracks based on who's speaking.With hour-long footage to sift through, the process becomes highly time-consuming as I must listen closely to discern who is speaking at any given moment, as it's not visually evident from the audio track alone.I'm seeking advice on how to streamline this editing process within Adobe Premiere. Are there any features, techniques, or plugins available that could help automate or simplify the task of muting/unmuting audio tracks based on speaker activity? I am building cep extension and I was wondering if it is possible to pass from extendscript context object to CEP context and then pass it back to extendscript context? Eg:extendscript [object TrackItem] -> CEP (here some operations happends with the callback data, but not with the object and its properties) -> extendscript [object TrackItem]currently I am passing along needed data the object:{ startTime: clip.start.seconds  parentTrack: { trackType: "video", id: clip.parentTrackIndex },}using this object I am looping thought parent track and I am getting the clip object by start time. It worksbut I am looking for ways to optimise the workflow (I cannot use indices due to some changes that happen on the timeline during the script run) maybe stringifing the object via JSON and parsing it back? p.s I am using both vanilla CEP and react bolt-cepThank you

Hello all,I Just have a quick question about my current PP file now saying [conflicted] out of nowwhere.  The file seems to open fine and is working normally.  It's just saying [conflicted in the title now.  Wondering if this 'conflicted' warning is just something I should be worried about or just disregard that it's saying that?  Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the file.  I've attached a grab to show what I mean. Thanks for any insight!

Desde hace unas semanas estoy teniendo muchisimos problemas en general con adobe.Videos de 12 mintuos que tardan mas de 3h en exportar, lag en la timeline, errores de export en media encoder, errores de sonido, errores al vicular medios.Tengo un Intel core ultra 9, 32 ram y una nvidia 3060ti y parece que no tuviera nada.Esto me hace perder demasiado tiempo y no entiendo nada.Hay alguna solución? Es simplemente problema de las actualizaciones?

So, I got some footage of an artist who shot down an ally. The camera was handheld but had excellent stabilization. They tried to put the camera in the same place on the two shots, but the zoom and angle are off a bit. I have never tried this before, but I want to line them up enough for cross dissolves to work as a transition. Here are the 2 shots, with the standing shot being V-Track 2. V2 is in b&w.

Hello all,I’m having trouble opening a project after updating to Premiere Pro version 25.2.1. The loading bar gets stuck about halfway through when trying to open the project (screenshot attached).I’ve tried uninstalling and reverting to version 25.0.0, which does work.However, in 25.2.1, I’m unable to open a new project and import any of the sequences or the full project by any means.I use the Maxon Red Giant plugin for colour grading and effects, which I suspect might be causing the issue.Any support would be hugely appreciated—this is a large project and I’m so close to finishing it!

Technical Specs: iMac Retina 5K, 27 Inch, 2017Processor: 4,2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7Graphics: Radeon Pro 580 8 GBMemory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Adobe PremierePro 25.2.1 version Bug Problem:Inside the timeline I wanted to place 2 opacity-keyframes in order to create a "fade-in" effect on a MOV file exported from After Effects [motion graphics - quicktime - gopro cineform - RGB Alpha].  I tried to place those 2 keyframes with selection tool by holding cmd, but it didn't let me. Then I selected pen tool and I tried again, it also didn't work. Even though I can grab the "line" and I can drag it up and down, it shows me two values [0 and 46] so the keyframes are placed, but they are not shown.  I must specify that on the footage [which is MP4] I don't encounter this problem. I will leave here a video so it will be clearer. I attached a screenshot to show that the keyframes that I'm placing are shown in the Effect Controls panel, but not

Trying to migrate a sequence form Avid to PP. Got one sequence to work no problem now the second one is crashing PP.Using a 2017 iMac in High Sierra with newest PP update. Also fresh install on Avid. PP is giving this error: Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro CC to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project. Tried a bunch of dif AAF export settings and tried going thru Resolve to with no success.  Adobe Chat/Customer service wasn't much help. Anyone delt with this? or have any ideas I could Try? Thanks

Hi,For an unknown reason, the right & left arrow keys don't work anymore in Premiere. I can't jump one frame at a time, left or right. The up and down arrows keep working properly. I haven't changed anything in the key mapping or the settings in general.I checked the forums, it seems other people encountered this problem. In most cases it gets solved by unchecking the "Display audio time units" so that we see proper video frame units. I checked and unchecked this setting, but nothing changed.I checked that the arrow keys have a proper mapping (in case Adobe changed this setting in a recent upgrade), but everything seems fine there.I did a complete Premiere reboot, no change.Has anyone experienced the same problem lately? Hello, I downloaded a video from a website and when i import it on Premiere Pro 2022, "New Sequence From Clip" => the image is not fluid :   Here are some informations about the video (tell me if you need a translation) : How can I solve this problem ?

When I open premiere pro- on my ASUS laptop- it says system compatibility report: video Intel R Arc(TM) Graphics: Unsupported driver. If I proceed with the fix button, it doesn't work. If I proceed within premiere pro/it crashes my computer. I brought to Best Buy geek squad- they replaced my computer. I got a new computer- the exact same - I turned it on- downloaded creative cloud then adobe premiere pro- opened- and sure enough the same system compatibility report. I have ASUS with intel core, Nividia, GeForce rtx. When I bought this computer they said it was perfect for editing videos in premiere. I am not techy- and the geek squad could not understand the issue - I don't want to go back and get a third new computer. Does anyone have very straight forward advice on how to fix this- step by step that someone not techy could preform? Clearly it's not my laptop- brand new- up to date everything and latest version of adobe premiere pro.

The contrast between the frame and everything outside of the frame is hard to disern.I prefer the Dark mode so I don't want to change the display setting but is there a way to change to color of the Frame?  I currently place guids arount the frame, but it tricky; the dissappear if they aren't in the frame.

How do I do this? / Workflow Advice / Looking for plugin Hey everyone,So there's something I do that's unsynching my audio, and my guess is when I do cuts, I don't see what else.I will have all my clips perfectly synced (normally 3-5 lavs audio tracks), and after a couple of cuts, everything is slightly unsynced ; it sounds echoey.I use these shortcuts- Ripple Trim Next Edit to playhead- Ripple Trim Previous Edit to playhead- Add Edit (to make a cut to all layers)The other option is to In and Out and extract, which will be more time consuming, but if it fixes the problem in the long term, it'll save me some time.

I created an effect called filmstrip transition, and it worked great for me,until I changed the entire clip in the timeline in the input LUT. After the change, the application crashed, and when I logged in again,I received a message that the edit file was damaged. The entire timeline turned red. As a result, I rendered it, but unfortunately the effect is not working properly for me. I worked on the video for a whole day, and I really need this effect. I would appreciate help in fixing the problem.

I have a number of Premiere Projects that have media named in a way our archivists on Windows apparently can't accept, so I need to use name mangler to take out things like "&" and "?" out of filenames. Why they were originally named uses those characters is beyond me, but I've been trying to investigate ways to be able to rename these files in Name Mangler to remove problematic characters but still have Premiere recognize the files themselves. Otherwise I have to spend about 2 hours on each project manually re-linking.  I have investigated using clip IDs and XMP IDs but nothing I've run across seems like it is going to be able to help me.  Any thoughts?

Hi everyone,I’ve created around 20 episodes about our journey through Canada, and now I’d like to make one big movie out of them.What’s the easiest and most efficient way to combine all these episodes into one timeline in Premiere Pro?Each episode is its own project and sequence - is there a way to merge them all into one master sequence without too much manual work?Thanks in advance for your help!Christian

I'm trying to adopt Premiere's colormanagement into our workflows to hopefully remove the need for LUTs for offline editing. However there is seemingly a massive drawback in managing how Sequence Clip media is treated.    You can not change the tone mapping method for multiple clips at once to something else. You can also not force a default for the entire sequence or project. Having everything by default set to Hue Preservation regardless of the source is not working for us.   Happy to be correct here if I just missed something.

Hey there,I've been applying morph cuts in side a nested sequence. Most of them work fine, but there are 2 of them a relatively short time after another. There's always a "gap" in between them that looks like that: There's a vignette on a background layer, so that's correct, bit there's no such edge or vertical line, just a person.I've tried reapplying the morph cut, alzering it length, but it just outputs the artefact in the altered length.Latest version of PP, Win 10, 128 GB RAM, Quadro M5000, Dual Xeons, M2 SSDs onlyN.b.: there are no gaps or problems in the preview. This only occurs after output via Media Encoder - exporting directly, it doesn't happen!

Hello,I want to add a glow effect to draw attention to a specific section of the screen that a presenter is screen sharing (speficially, the 'Customize Response Clarity' on the left column). How can I achieve this? 

Interpret Footage no longer seems to work with the Premiere update as it did with older versions. I film at 50fps, and in Premiere before, I would interpret the footage and set them all to 25fps, drag them onto the timeline (25 or 50 fps), and I had my footage in 50% slow motion without having to change the speed of my clips one by one on the timeline to 50% (a time saver). However, this no longer works on my update of premiere. Premiere always plays the footage at the original 50fps (originally) even if you interpret the footage at 25fps. If anyone else noticed the same thing, I haven't found an option to make footage interpretation work properly.ThanksJon
