I’m experiencing a visibility issue with the Adobe Premiere 2024 timeline. Previously, I could clearly see cuts in my video clips even at minimal zoom, but now these cuts only become visible when I zoom in significantly, although the audio tracks still display fine. This change disrupts my workflow since I need to see these divisions for accurate subtitle editing. I’ve already contacted support but only received workaround solutions that don’t fully address the problem. I’m wondering if there’s a specific setting or adjustment that could restore the previous behavior, where all cuts were visible without needing to zoom in so much.
Premier insists on throwing errors all the time. It does it when i add a marker to a clip saying " The file is busy and couldn't be updated!" with a red exclamation mark. Nevertheless. the marker is there and seems to function properly. That said, premier keeps throwing up a red pop up box which is distracting. it interrupts workflow to have it pop up every time you drop a marker. If you can't fix the actual bug - which has existed since at least 2018 - ugh ! - let us turn off the error pop ups.Ideally do both, because this software is as buggy as a cricket farm. While you're at it, add Autosequence functionality to throw clips on a timeline by timecode. The software is called pro after all.
I purchased this lower third graphic from the adobe stock images and am trying to export it to my students so they can open the template on their Premiere pro. it does not give me the option to export as an essential graphic. what am i missing? Is there another way to share this template to my students?
Applying metadata and timecode burn-in to an adjustment layer, in order to show metadata related to clips below on the timeline such as scene, log note, source timecode. With regular clips this works fine, but when merged clips are used it no longer works, ecxept for timecode and comments. to reproduce:combine video and audio to make a merged clip, add to timeline.edit scene, shot, description, log note, comment data in the project panel for the merged clips.set the metadata and timecode burn-in plugin to display these parameters, and only the comment metadata will show. Premiere version: 25.1 on Windows 10 (but bug has been around since previous versions)
How can I keep the playhead automatically centered while the timeline moves in Premiere Pro?
There are keyboard shortcuts for insert and overwrite, but no overlay, insert before, or insert after. Is it possible to perform the same operation with a combination of keys? Also, is there a setting method that does not move the time ruler backward after overlay operation?
Did Adobe remove the capture live footage feature in Premier Pro 20204/2025?
Hi Team, is there any way to fix the issue where the import and export windows switch from English to Japanese?

Hi - I'm trying to use createSubsequence on an existing sequence to get a sub sequence with specific in and out points. It seems to work fine except that it takes the video track but not all the audio tracks. It takes just one of the audio tracks associated with the original sequence. Here is my code: // given an actualSequence that exists actualSequence.setInPoint(sourceIn); actualSequence.setOutPoint(sourceOut); app.project.createNewSequenceFromClips("actualsequence", actualSequence.projectItem) // just making sure this has all the audio tracks, and it does newSequence = actualSequence.createSubsequence(); app.project.createNewSequenceFromClips("newsequence", newSequence.projectItem) // this has just one audio track along the video track Am I doing something wrong or is this is a bug? If latter, is there another way to do what I'm trying to achieve - get a subclip with specific in and out points from a given sequence with all video/audio tracks from the
HelloI want to edit several clips from an interview (3 camera positions) as a nested sequence. This shouldn't be a problem.BUT: I want to give all three clips a new, unique background before nesting them using Ultra Key (green screen).Unfortunately, multi-camera doesn't work with clips that have already been edited with Ultra Key: Multi-camera no longer displays the nested clips (only as a black surface).Do you have any suggestions on how I can achieve this workflow?
I'm struggling to understand the difference between Motion and Vector Motion and don't know why you'd ever use Motion over Vector Motion. I'm coming across a lot of difficulty because of the Motion section and wish there was just one way to transform. I've only just understood that there's a difference and I've been using a shortcut that modifies the scale using 'Motion'. This works perfectly for quickly ammending the scale by +10 or -10, but I get the issues with the parameters, where media goes outside of the box etc. Now that I know this issue is coming from the Motion panel, it would be good for me to find a way to do that shortcut using the Vector Motion panel but it doesn't seem like there is a way. I've also tried using the Transform, but when scaling up this just stacks loads of Transforms and there's no way to scale down using this method.
Merci beaucoup

I film weddings in the UK and film ceremony and speeches in 1080 and then the rest of the day in 4k. When exportting the video in premier pro I'm confused what way I should be exporting is it 4k or 1080. Sequence settings should it be 50fps? Framerate when you 25 So confused Any help appreciated 👍
(I just precise that I'm french, so please excuse me if I make any mistake. Thanks !)I've been searching for days and I've found no answer. On Avid, you can do a match frame from your sequence in the record monitor to another sequence in the source monitor, as long as this one has the same frame. It dosn't have to be the original clip. On premiere, the only match frame you can do is with the original clip, which will automatically appear in the source monitor. Even if you put a sequence into the source monitor, premiere will just ignore it and give you the original clip.I found this pretty curious, since it can actually do the opposite ! Here's what I mean : if you try a reversed match frame from whatever sequence in the source monitor, it will not work (the sequence in the record monitor stays as it is). BUT if you do a reversed match frame with the exact same sequence as the one in the record monitor (you then have the same sequence in the source monitor AND in the record monitor), t
Hello, I see lots of discussion on how to work with odd framerate and the "Posterize Time" effect. I have a slightly different question which seems to not show up in searches: "How do I export to a media with fewer than 10 fps?" I am editing on-line classes where the lecturer writes on iPad. It is handwritng and there is no need to see smooth writing, so I thought I can spare on the file size by lowering the media fps. Indeed going from 24fps to 10fps I can still get a 30% smaller file. I was hoping to go down to 1 or 2 fps, which still give acceptable experience for the viewer in my opinion. Indeed I tested the resutl with the Posterize Time effecrt and turns out OK-ish. It's a bit uglier, true, but makes the lectures tens of Mb instead of 1 Gb each , and this helps students behind slow internet connections. So I would like to ask how to export to a media using less than 10 fps. H264 seems to not accept less than 10 fps in the export media window and other formats are even l
Hi there - just updated to 25.1 and am running into an annoying new feature that I'd like to turn off. When I place a marker on the timeline, it automatically opens a new settings window for that marker. I've looked for a setting to turn this off, but am having no luck so far. I don't always need to add additional info to a marker, and so far this window pop-up is more annoying than useful. Is there any setting to turn this off that I'm just not finding? Thanks.
For clarification: I'm talking about Source Timelines, Sequences that are opened in the source monitor and than loaded from there in the timeline window with a red playhead. The problem:I try to solo an audio track in the timeline, the button lights up, nothing changes. No solo. Also during playback the mute button has the same behaviour. Expected behaviour:It sould be the same as in every normal timeline.Activating the solo (either during active playback or while paused) activates solo of the audio track. Occourance:In every source timeline. Steps to reproduce:For the problem with the solo: Open a source timeline (open sequence in source monitor, from there as a source timline), hit play, solo a track while playback is active, problem occours - 2nd attempt: during paused playback solo a track, hit play, problem still occoursFor the problem with muting: Open a source timeline (open sequence in source monitor, from there as a source timline), hit play, mute a track wh
Hi All. Although I switch live many many projects, I haven't yet used the Multi-Cam proccess in Premiere pro cc as of yet. All my footage was all over the place with 3 cameras sometimes running sometimes not etc...etc... so I spent hours aligning all three cameras (x 6 hours) onto a timeline (there's absolutely no way Premiere could do this on it's own with this footage(s). Now, can I take all my six tracks (3-videos & 3-audios) and make a Multicam sequence from these? I can't seem to find a way to do so.
Greetings,I've been bashing my head trying to figure out how to render and replace audio files with handles for later export to a sound editor using Reaper. OMF files don't work in this case so we use Vordio as middle man. I am a video game editor so my source video has the audio embedded thus my audio source files are as giant as the video. Anyway I found a work around that lets me grab all the clips on the timeline and have premiere "render and replace..." but also add handles to the files so that the sound editor can later mix them. 1. Create a Wave only (or whatever sound setting you want) export preset on Media Encoder. In my case I called it "Wave Export"2. Export the Export Preset, and put the .EPR file somewhere you can find it. 3. In Premiere, create a Black Video Item (setting are irrelevant) and place it somewhere on your time line. 4. Select the Black Video and any audio clips you wish to Render and Replace (this will let us get the dialogue for Render and Replace whi
So the question is, when I move a clip in my timeline, it becomes "insert' by default without holding down "Command" button. If i hold the key, it also works as "insert". So now i could not go on with my editing work. Both v22.6.4 and v25.1 have this problem. I tried re-install Premiere or Restart my computers. Nothing worked.
For some reason in my Premier Pro 2024, the timeline tracker does not move while the video is playing. The time in the playback window also does not update. They do not change until I stop the video from playing then the timeline and time both update. Is there a fix for this? I am on Windows 10 with current updates. I've tried to close the program and reopen it. It doesn't work. I also tried starting it with Shift and clearing cache etc as recommended on an older version. No luck. It is difficult to edit when not knowing where one is on the timeline while playing. Thank youSuzette
Hi there! I am trying to trim one of my clips on the timeline using Control and then moving the trim tool, however, it keeps showing up as a single, vertical red line with two sets of arrows coming out on either side. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
