Not sure if a setting was changed or this is bug! When I label a specific cut of a video file on the timeline, it changes the entire video file clip to that same color, not just the section I cut out. This is really throwing off my workflow! If anyone knows whats going on please let me know. Thanks
Hi there, I'm trying to export some clips at a certain FPS so that they become a bit easier to animate in Adobe Animate, however I'm finding a seemingly large issue. I have my clips all set to 6 FPS with the posterize time effect, in the export menu I have it down as Quicktime in H.264 codec, with the only thing changed being the video FPS which I have set to 6 FPS to match with the posterize time. Is it possible that the export could be grabbing the wrong frames? I am quite confused with the situation to be honest. I've tried on higher frame rates within the export and it's still come out weird. I'd prefer to keep the posterize time the same just so it's a bit easier later, but at this point I'd be willing to try anything. Thanks in advance for the help!
It's 2024, how can we get an engineer to apply to work at Adobe to create the basic fundamental feature of Automatic Beat Detection? There is the Beat Edit plugin available and although they've probably made millions by now providing these basic features, it's buggy and doesn't work with the latest version of Premiere Pro. There are other threads inquiring now for almost 10 years, is Adobe refusing or they don't have the technical knowledge on how to implement this very basic fundamental feature that every other competing app offers?
hi ALL! wow... lumetri isnt on.. the little sliders wont even move... it's completely impossible for me to access lumetri pro... any ideas or insights?! thank yalll!!!!! big love from Texas...
Inrecently downloaded premier 2024 and was having issues with the enter hotkey for rendering and playing from In/Out selection. Fixed it by changing the keybind to 'render from in out' instead of the 'effects' default. Was working fine for a day then when I was in the middle of editing my project it all of a sudden will not play back from the in/out points. It just plays from the beginning of the timeline no matter what I do. If I go to preferences > timeline > uncheck 'play after rendering previews' it doesn't even play the video anymore
I am editing in Premiere Pro and I activated something that is causing me problems. When I try to more a piece of video I get a blue down arrow with bars on either side. The video will move but everything shifts. I must be in some type of mode becasue I cannot add efects into the timeline. How do I get out of it?Thanks,Mark
Hello all! I need to unnest a sequence, which I've cut up quite a bit... Is this possible? Here's the back story- I made a 2 min trailer, cutting down bits from a 1.5 hour long source- I have 2 versions of the same source, one with subtitles burned in, and one clean. Some of my exports of this trailer needed to be clean, and some versions subtitled, so I put both the clean and subtitled 1.5 hour clips on top of eachother in a sequence, and used this sequence as a nest in my main edit (like precomping in After Effects).I brought the nest in a main sequence and made my 2 min edit- When needing to export with subtitles, I went into my nest and enabled only the subtitled later; when needing to export clean, I enabled on the clean layer. My question now is, is it possible to un-nest these cuts in the main sequence? I ask, because I've just been asked for an AAF, and I understand I can't send an AAF of my main sequence with the nest!Any help would be GREATLY a
To those who have the Adobe CC. Throughout the last several years I have heard in the industry, editors pass on their 'bragging rights' to the amount of cuts they have made in their final project. Thrilled, I wasn't quite sure how to do this in Premiere. Count my cuts/edits until I tested out a theory this morning. I tested it out on a few edits and it seems to work. Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong on this. I dont suposse this would include nested sequences or linked comps from adobe after effects. Export your sequence to a Final Cut Pro XML file.Open in Adobe Dreamweaver. Automatically Dreamweaver groups the starting and ending tags in the file. I easily saw how the XML file was composed into groups. I collapsed everything until the <track...> and then it listed several point blank <clipitem...>. This would be the clips in the sequence. Now all that you need to do is cound inbetween the line numbers for "<clipitem" within Dreamweaver
I don't want to scale up everything (ie. change Windows scaling globally, because it's a 15" laptop screen and it's 4K) like many people, I want to shrink everything to actual size when I'm using busy user interfaces like Adobe Premiere, otherwise I'm mostly wasting my 4K screen resolution!I've tried the .manifest file with registry hack.I've tried changing the Compatibility option in the shortcut and on the .exe itself.Has something changed in the latest version of Windows/ Premiere? Thanks for any ideas!
My audio is slightly out of sync, and when I try to adjust it, it snaps back to align with the video, overshooting the slight adjustment. I've unlinked the video and audio, and patching should be off. What am I missing?
Trying to dub voice over from English to Dutch in Premiere Pro and the recording always starts at 0s when there is an In and Out. I am bound to make an error when I delete I/O. I need the recording to start at the PLAYHEAD. Like in the old days with tape...This was a Tweet to @adobecare where ^KM asked me to move the question to here...
I have a Cross Dissolve at the end of a clip and one at the end of the previous clip but only one is working.I tried several transitions at this location and none of them seem to be working. I have transitions between other clips in this sequence and they are working, so what's going here?
Lumetri will not turn on.... the videos ive watched do not help... none of the little sliders slide or are illuminated or turned on to use lumetri. ive included a screen shot here and lumetri isnt highlighted and im unable to use any of the components of this panel....
I am making a frame by frame animation which needs to be 12fps. In preferences, I set the still image default duration as 2 frames. Then I set up the sequence as the Digital SLR 1080p 24fps setting. I then drop in my frames which auto sets to 2 frames per image. The timebase for this preset is actually 23.976. When I go to sequence settings and change the timebase to 24fps, the frames that I drop in are no longer auto set to 2 frames as the still image default duration, they are put into the timeline as 1 frame. I can't seem to find a way around this - the default in preferences is still set to 2 frames but it always auto sets to 1 frame. Why does the still image default duration not work when I change from 23.976 to 24fps?
Has this been fixed?
I am in the process of switching from Avid to Premiere Pro and am hitting a stumbling block. With my one minute test sequence, which has many types of video (4K from 3 different cameras, HD, QT, JPGs) and various audio sources, these are the steps I am following:From Project Management, choose Consolidate and TranscodeSource: SequenceFormat: DNxHR/DNxHD MXF OP1aPreset: DNX HQ 1080p 29.97The original project size is 138.51 GB, estimated project size is 35.11 GB. Hit okay. A warning comes up: "Some clips have frame sizes, frame rates, field types, color space and/or aspect ratios differing from their selected project. These clips wil be copied in their original format to the resulting project." This seems strange to me - isn't the point of transcoding to bring everything to the same specs? Hit okay anyway. After waiting a very long time, it saves to a Transcoded project folder, and the size is larger than the original, over 167 GB. Am I missing something obviou
Problem:Currently, when creating multicamera source sequences, the choice of Video Clip Name, Audio Clip Name, or Custom determines how clip names are displayed in the Timeline.By default, Video Clip Name displays the underlying source clip names, while Audio Clip Name + or Custom displays the multicamera sequence name. However, this setting becomes static after the sequence is created, leading to usability challenges for editors who want to adjust clip name displays dynamically in the Timeline. Solution:Introduce a toggle option that allows users to switch between displaying source clip names and multicamera sequence names dynamically in the Timeline. This would give editors greater flexibility in naming conventions throughout their workflow, eliminating the need to recreate multicamera sequences just to change clip name displays. Implementation:The toggle functionality could be based on this line of XML code, which currently determines the display behavior: <Source.Monitor.Mu
Like all of us, I have to output the same content in different formats, I have been copying and pasting the content timelines to different sized sequences. I am now working with platforms that are asking for even more 'unique' format sizes. My little system is no good when there are minor changes to the content (e.g. spelling mistake) as I have to go through all of the timelines etc. It is easy to get muddled up.(I recently discovered artboards in photoshop where you can view multiple formats all at once. This would be perfect - to view 6 different sequence settings from one timeline)Does a comparable feature like this exist in Premiere? Is there a workflow? There must be because we are all being asked for 1080x1080/1920x1080/1080x1920 etc etc...I have tried google but it is hard to communicate what I am asking.Chat GPT suggests dragging a master 1920x1080 as a next into a (e.g.) 1080x1920 sequence and using auto-reframe, but this results in the initial problems. For example, the neste
Hello everyone... I need to create an youtube faceless videos.. Any tutorial to do this in premiere pro... Thank you
Curently using Premiere Pro version 25.1I have been using the auto-transcribe sequence feature in Premiere every week for well over a year now to put captions on videos for social media. I work primarly on my Windows desktop computer which is very robust and built for gaming and video editing, but occasionally I will work from my Lenovo windows laptop. The laptop is obviously slower, but has never had any issues handling my weekly video assignments. That is until about two months ago when I started getting the "no dialogue found" message every single time I try to transcribe anything on my laptop. These are simple, small video clips I'm working with (8-15 minute long clips from the recording of a livestream, 1080p at most, less than 500mb) and it's always just a single audio track with one person speaking that I'm trying to transcribe.Everything works fine when I'm working on my desktop. I can have literally the same exact video clip, and on my desktop it will transcribe, but on t
