Questions

I have seen similar posts to this, but none of the advice in the comments is working for me. When I try to drag and drop an effect into my timeline, it doesn't even allow me to move it over. The second I click the effect, I get a closed hand with an X. I'm getting frustrated and not sure how to fix it. I have tried to reset my software and a few other things, but nothing is fixing my problem. 

With Premiere Pro CC 2019 I have the same bug I see in the forums dating back to 2013. It's an intermittent buzzing on audio playback when placing audio transitions between two audio clips. Same problem occurs whatever crossfade transition I use: Constant Gain, Constant Power or Exponential Fade. Sometimes it disappears when closing and reopening the application. The problem seems to be more acute when placing several audio transitions on the same track.And the noise is present when exporting. I'm surprised this recurrent problem has not been solved after 6 years... Or do I miss something in the process ?Of course I could crossfading out and in at every transition but it's a long process.Thanks for any help. I have to finish an editing before the end of the week.

I'm having a strange problem with this keyframe, where when the playhead is on it, it's correctly representing the values I've set when  I view it in the playback area, but one frame past it, the video jumps to the left, but the position values aren't changing at all. There are no keyframes after this one, and it's just a simple right to left movement, I've done it hundreds of times at this point. It slides over to the correct position, and the 1 fram after the keyframe it jumps a little more to the left and stay there, and I can't even fix it with more keyframes because the values are the exact same. How do I fix this?

Hi Community, I am working on an old project originally created in 2020. I use PP professionally so I am familiar with the time it usually takes to save a project. It usually is quick. This one takes about a minute to save and I have my auto-save usually set to 5 minutes. Because of the length it takes, I extended it to 10. Nevertheless, it is really annoying.Any idea why it could take that long?My thought is maybe of a pluggin. Is there a way to quickly see all of the pluggin used in one project? Without having to have to go through each sequence (i have maybe 20 sequences on this project, at least) and without having to check each clips ( that would be impossible!!!) Thanks

I have some projects that have been in progress for a couple of months, and have never had any issues up until just now with the timelines. For some reason, Premiere Pro has replaced some of my existing footage with other random footage from a completely different project.    To give some context, this client is a gym with 3 locations. Each location gets 6 new videos a month (2 horizontals, 2 square and 2 vertical versions of the same video for that month). Since I have the layouts of the videos pretty much mapped out, all I have to do is replace the main talking head clip each month and the other clips stay the same. The talking head clip exists on track V1, so all I have to do is replace that with the new footage and the videos are good to go. For some reason, premiere has replaced my V1 footage on one of the locations (each location is a separate project) with totally random footage that I had used in a separate project. Even the splices in the random footage mat

Hi @Mathias Moehl ! I'm creating a script that involves adding an effect to a clip. I found the Execute_Code_Examples_Pr.xml block, which has nearly what I need. Is there a way to modify the 'add effect to clip' block so I can add my personal Effects PRESETS? Simply using the name of the preset in the effectName variable doesn't work. CheersSam

I'm working on a showreel and my first pass is to pull subclips out of the footage I have(I use restrict trims to subclip boundaries). I place them in useful bins for organizing.  Now I can quickly go through a bin and scrub the thumbnails and only see the footage I will use.  This is all working fine but randomly when I reload a project all the subclips go wacky.  Suddenly the out point of the subclips is lost.  The thumbnail now has a length listed that is from the in point of the clip to the end of the video it came from.  When I scrub the thumbnail is mostly black for the full length.  If i open it in the source viewer it has the sub clip and then just black for the length of the original video it came from.  I can fix the problem by editing every subclip and toggling "use restrict trims to subclip boundries" off and then on again.  Obviously not ideal when you have a hundred or more subclips.  Particularly when it could all break again

Hi guys 😃 I added a transition to my adobe premiere footage but when i play the preview it don't show. How to fix please.

The "Progress" window in Productions is extremely helpful. It lets me know to slow down and let Premiere do its thing if I'm moving a bunch of stuff into a new project. I'm seeing an interesting new alert, "Auto Color complete". What's auto color? Is the Production doing some auto coloring? Can I turn this off? I'm pretty sure my director does not want anything auto colored:

I'm editing a project. But suddenly my video freezes when I play the project. I tried restarting and clearing the cache. But it doesn't help. Does anyone know how I can solve it?

I'm using Premiere Pro 2025 in windows 11.I edited a video recorded with an iphone and it sometimes gets a bit laggy in the timeslider, but when i export it there's like 3 specific shots that look like still images. I tried rebooting both the pc and Premiere, and although the lagging in the program stops, the exported video keeps freezing those frames.  

Beginner question here. But I have a project with multiple existing audio tracks associated with video clips. I just came across some other audio files and I am not sure if they're being used in the project or not. If they are, they've been trimmed and turned from single stereo tracks to 2 mono tracks. Any way I can figure this out easily?  Thanks MC

Hey guys,   I'm currently cutting a documentary where I set up an assembly timelines for all the interviews. A set of interviews comprised of two people next to eachother both with dji mic's recording. I then sync'd them all up with the scracth audio from the camera. That all sounded perfectly fine.   But once I copy and paste that interview into a new, unedited timeline; the sync'd two dialogue tracks from the dji mics give off a horrible echo. Like they're not properly synchronised even though I just did it. What makes matters worse is that moving the tracks using audio time units doesn't help either, and using the synchronisation feature again in premiere doesnt do anything.   Has anyone else come across this issue before? Any help would be great.   Thanks, Harvey    

Hello,So on my timeline, I synced with Syncaila all my Video+Audio tracks with my external voice over mics. The voice over track sit just under.Is there any way to batch link & unlink multiple clips? The option is grayed out.My solution is to Nest and Detect & Cut scene, but is there anything else I can do?

1. What format must a provided caption be, in order to have it be importable to Premiere?2. Once they are in their, is Adobe capable of analysing them and timing them to captions? Often times we are using a teleptrompter and the script already exists. I want to be able to use this to get the right spelling for pro-nouns like people's names that Sensei doesn't get right. I also don't like having to rely on the cloud to do the analysis for me (only because it's been buggy and offline - right now my captions workflow is frozen again and my team are disgruntedly starting to type and time things the "old" way). I'm assuming even if I successfully imported an existing transcript, Premiere would still need to connect to Sensei servers to match the text to the speech to time the captions, right? Anyone else struggling to use existing transcripts?

Hello, I just used Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 to open a project from last year which I created in Adobe Premiere Pro 2024. I converted the project as I was prompted to, but when I opened it, a whole bunch of sequences were missing in the project. Luckily I kept 2024 installed on my laptop, otherwise I'd be screwed. When I open the project in 2024, the lost sequences are still there. In 2025, they don't exist. I've read other users reporting the same issue on this forum and on Reddit and so on, but there isn't a fix that I can see and Adobe seems to have offered no help, support or resolution for this issue which they've brought open themselves/users in the update to 2025. This is actually the first issue I've had with PP 2025 so far, but I am hoping Adobe/someone could perhaps point me in the direction of a solution? Hi - I'm an archivist so I still need to capture footage. I have a Blackmagic Decklink mini monitor which I've been happily using with Premiere CC2022 for a year or two. Now I've added the Ultrastudio 3G recorder. I also run Premiere CC2022 on my laptop and have been using that same 3G recorder for a while, and it captures fine in Premiere. But on my desktop PC, I have a problem. I can select "Blackmagic Capture" from the capture options but then when I select "properties", Premiere immediately crashes and I get the light grey "error repotr" window. The same thing happens on Premiere 2022 & 2023. I am using the latest Blackmagic software update (14.4) but I downgraded to an older version (the earliest which supports the HD monitor) and that made no difference.I can capture fine using Blackmagic's own media express software so that is working fine, there's obviously some kind of conflict with Premiere. I'd be grateful for any suggestions.  Thanks. 

I want to edit my subtitle in text window, but sometime or many time, it wounld be lag / can't typing Chinese (especically after swtiching the typing language)/ even it gonna be crush.I am sure  the resons is not about the the problem of the computer spec.

whenever i try to type using the text tool the text dialogue box is automatically inactivating and while i am trying to select the text dialogue box on monitor the hotkeys are activating.in version 24.4.1

I just installed Premiere Pro. When I upload my video file and drag it to the source, the screen stays gray (not even black screen), but the sound works and i can press play. (NVIDEA RTX4060). What am i doing wrong?
