I want to create a video that has a still image and sound (dialog). I want to key over a sound waveform of the dialog to give the still image some motion. Does Premiere have this ability?

What is the advantage of converting a subclip to a master clip - anyone know? If you do this, will you be able to match-frame to the original master clip it came from - or is this the reason its not a good idea to convert subclips to master clips?

When I link mediasome of the files are importing the wrong numbered files. I have fixed this and it reverts back. can anyone tell me if I am doing something wrong if if there is a way to fix this permanently?

Hi, for systems demos that I edit, I add Frame Holds throughout (e.g., to freeze picture to give time for voiceover/description).  My question is about when I want to *un-freeze* at that same spot and let video keep playing out live.  My current process is to add an edit/razor blade at the spot I want to un-freeze, then right-click and choose "Frame Hold Options...".  Then I turn off/uncheck the "Hold On" (to unfreeze) and choose "Source Timecode" from the dropdown menu.  I'm thinking that should use the timecode I'd frozen on and resume "playing" that source from that point forward.  But it doesn't; instead it jumps it forward, seemingly by the amount of time it had been frozen (I believe that choosing "Sequence" does the same).  See attached (source timecode of V1 is 00:00:46:14 but choosing "Source Timecode" and turning off "Hold On" jumps it to 00:00:50:11).Any thoughts on the right way to do this?  I could, of course, match frame on the froz

Hey Folks, So I'm watching online tutorials, learning how to apply a Fade In or Fade Out Trasition.The examples I've seen, all of them actually, seem to work as intended, Fade In or Fade Out, to Black.I'm actually trying to use the Film Dissolve transition, however, any and all of the Dissolves I've tried using are not working as the toturials show they should be working.I've searched YouTube, and perhaps because I haven't a clue as to what to ask, I've gotten Zero results.Okay, rant over.Why am I not able Fade In or Out from Black?All the Dissolves I've tried begin in a Zero Alpha Channel, showing a Blank Background, and then the scence fades into view.Can someone Please tell me why that is?I've checked the Sequence Settings, thinking the setting I'm looking for would be there; as in giving the stage a Background Color; I'm totally lost. Peace,ElementX 

Hello,what is this bug in premiere pro 25? It shows me 3 hours to export a 4GB file in 1080P! I've never had that before. It's the same computer, I always work on the same type of file. Usually it takes me 30 minutes. There is no additional effect.

Hello! I am trying to figure out how to get voice audio to come out of both headphones. I filmed a video of two speakers using the Rode Wireless GO II microphone system. Both speakers had a different mic to pick up their audio, and it sounded great, but when I went to edit the video, I couldn't get both voices to come out of the left and right headphones equally. I can hear the one speaker perfectly on the left channel and left headphones, and I can hear the second speaker perfectly on the right channel and right headphones. I've messed with mono vs. stereo, but this problem seems to be a little more complex because both the left and right channel has audio, it's not like I need to duplicate audio from the left channel to the right channel. Somehow, I am looking to mix both the left and right channel audio and have it equally come out of my headphones. Any tips? 

I just saw this report from somebody, I have the exact same issue. I've tried everything and nothing changes. I have already restarted my computer several times, I checked that my files were correct, cleared my chashe, I have the same version in both programs (2025)... it has also been impossible for me to connect to the adobe media encoder. I don´t know what to do now. Ever since the Cloud Strike thing, my media from my composition in Premire Pro has unlinked. I can relink my media just fine, EXCEPT for the After Effect compositions.  I have attempted to just relink them, but I am met with an infinate "Connecting to Dynamic Link Server" loading bar.I tried manually re-uploading the AE compositions into PP and that just caused PP to freeze. I can open the AE comps in AE, but I cannot see them in PP.  Do I have to delete them and try to relink them in order to get them working? Do I seriously have to go through the trouble of rendering these first and then impor

Waves audio plugins used for sound enhancements in sequences prevent opening the project again by crashing during the project loading up. Cannot re enable them while project is open. HelloNow and then I need to use Adobe CS6 applications to get the work done.In this situation I needed to work in Premiere Pro CS6.The film I am working on in PP CC 2024 ( 2024 is without the 'legacy title' feature) is in two formats:one is MOv and the other is MP4. MP4 plays fine in PP and plays fine in a movie player.However when I import it into PP CS6 I get unsupported format or damaged file.Is there a method to 'repair' what is working in other applications that is now not working in PPro CS6?Thanks

This problem appeared a few days ago, apparently after the update. There is a picture and a background, if the picture had the Drop Shadow effect, then the picture shifts to the side. All the images with this effect floated in the project. I had to delete the effect and throw it back onto the picture, it helped. But I had to spend a day on fixes, because the project is large. I tried to open it in 2025, and the same thing happened, plus everything is insanely slow, this picture on the timeline was drawn for several seconds 1 frame. Although in 2024 it all works on the fly. 2025 is complete crap, it is only good if you want to finish drawing individual clips with ai... And one more thing - if I turn on my Essential Graphics window in Browse mode, the timeline becomes laggy too, I can hear the sound but the video is a slideshow in the best way.And Adobe, do something with curve editor in Effect Control - it is disgusting.Disappointed Win 10intel 13900KDDR 64GbNvidia 3060Ti x 2Samsun

I use the description column to add notes to clips but this does not appear to be possible with folders.  Is there a column header that will allow me to add notes to folders or can I add a custom column that will allow this?

Is there a way to sync two audio tracks without video?  I have two audio tracks of the same recording but they aren't aligned, I need to sync them but there is no video linked to them (it's a podcast) I tought i could use synchronize function but it can't be used without video.  Any suggests ? 

Hi. I am using Adobe too well. But I hope it will add a function. I want a note to be added to the marker function. Sometimes I forget why I put a marker on it. So I wish I could write a note. Thank you for reading it.

Prior to several updates ago, if I put a marker on a subclip, it also put that marker on the same frame on the master—as well as in associated multicam sequences. On the first 2025 update this came back, then when I updated to 25.1 it dropped off again. In case it's helpful, or if someone has an alternative workflow, here's why this is costing me time... If Premiere can make subclips out of multicam sequences I'm not aware of it (I'd love to find out if this can be done). I'm left to synch interview audio and cameras via "create multicam..." and then merge the master audio with camera A by dragging from the multicam sequence into a bin and make subclips from that merged clip. After assembling the narrative, I then copy-paste cameras B and C over each corrisponding clip made from those subclips. I used to be able to simply make a marker at the beginning of a clip in the assemble sequence, that marker would then show up on camera A in the multicam sequence, I'd razor

I'm having a problem where Premiere Pro 25.0 constanty crashing when I'm scrolling through my timeline of XAVC HS 4K clips. It works fine when playing, but whenever I start scrolling through a clip it suddenly crashes without showing an error or crash message. I checked my reports folder and there's nothing in there. I included a video to show exactly what happens.My specs:Intel 13900kGeforce RTX 4090128GB DDR4I have the latest Nvidia studio driver installed and I don't have any plug-ins running. Any advice?

God I hate using PP for captions. So I'm halfway through editing the transcription of a 30-minute video with two speakers. PP won't let me split the segments so I can separate the speakers in certain points. It would appear I should have hit "Create Static Transcript" first. If that's the case, why the hell was I able to create a transcript using a different method? If I now hit "Create Static Transcript" it will re-transcribe everything and undo the hours or work I've put in so far. Why is this not far more intuitive? Why was I given the option to create a transcription that isn't fully editable? Is there any way I can rescue this? In related news, I usually do all my captioning with Veed.io because unlike PP it can actually generate decent animated text for social. Really winds me up spending ££££ each year on a Creative Cloud sub yet I still have to pay more to do stuff that should be built into PP. Rant ends. 

anyone else got a slowdown with warp stabilizer? if Iclick on the fast analysis its now just as fast as the regular one, this has happened yesterday when I installed the new premiere pro 25.1 on a new upto date windows 11 PC clips that would take me seconds now take minutes 

Issue - the right audio output channel will not work even after I set the output to the right. It has worked in the past but doesn't work in the sequence. This has been a reoccuring issue even after installing and uninstalling Premier Pro. Only started experiencing this issue after upgrading to the 2025 version.Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 2025Operating system - macOS, Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD: GPU (Intel-based Macs and PCs)Audio format: mp3 audio from Epidemic sounds but all audio formats used produce this issueWorkflow details: I always check the audio channels and output. As shown in the video I take the audio straight from the source which has both right and left audio outputs working. Once I drop the audio clip into the sequence the right audio channel is mute.I need help fixing this issue so that both audio channels are working and audio can be heard from the left and right outputs. Also please add information on how I can troublshoot
