An artist friend has painted a scene that I want to use in my next audio-visual. It has several layers in Photoshop, and was painted so that I can move and scale the objects on the different layers to suit my needs. I have imported the image into Premiere as a layered PSD, put those layers on separate Premiere layers, and away I go. I can make this person larger or smaller (closer or more distant), put that vehicle over there and so on, but I also want to pan and zoom. However, if I pan away from a person, I want that person to appear as if they were locked to the underlying background. Let me put some numbers to this problem. Background LayerThe background comes in as 5171 x 2909 pixels, but is used in a 1080P timeline. It fills the screen if Motion has these settings (960, 540, 37.2): 1080/2909 = 37.2. I want to pan and zoom the background to (1736, 104, 67.2). I've panned left and zoomed in. Aunt Leila LayerI've placed Aunt Leila above the background at (904, 324
I am trying to save a new copy of a project/sequence using Project manager to copy media to a new location and this keeps failing each attempt. I have attached a screenshot of the error code that keeps re occuring. Any ideas how to resolve this issue using Project Manager?
This weird box appeared one day and I just couldn't remove it. Please help!
when I try to open premiere on my MacBook it says ( '' Adobe premiere pro 2024'' is damaged and cant be opened. You should move it to the trash )
Dearest Adobe and Community, Is this where Premiere goes to die? I cannot get the app to work any longer and my projects are now undeliverable. How on earth could this be happening?
I just downloaded the new version of Premiere Pro on my macbook air. But when I want to open it, it says that Premiere Pro is damaged... What can I do to fix it? Because I have plenty of deadlines next week... I've never had a problem with premiere, so it's really weird that it happens now...
Hey gang! I want to export my sequence with 8 tracks of assigned audio channels for an MXF Op1a master archive file.My timeline is organized like this:A1 - VOA2 - Camera Mic/SOTSA3 - Natural SoundsA4 - SFXA5 - MusicA6 - Music The 8 channels in the master file will look like this.Ch 1 - stereo Left (full stereo mix of all tracks combined)Ch 2 - stereo Right (full stereo mix of all tracks combined)Ch 3 - NatsCh 4 - SOTSCh 5 - VOCh 6 - SFXCh 7 - Music Stereo LeftCh 8 - Music Stereo Right I've watched many videos on multichannel audio assignements but I still feel like I'm missing something. The Mix Track Channel in the output assignments are a little confusing I guess. Avid Media Composer does a good job of a handling audio mixdowns but I can't seem to adapt here in Premiere...yet. I appreciate any insights, thanks!
Premiere Pro now crashes whenever I make a cut while the timeline is playing video. Didn't happen before updating,
Rendered areas in my timeline disappear after a while. It turns red or yellow. I just started experiencing this. My computer is M1 Max 32C 32 Ram 1 TB SSD 16" Macbook Pro. The footages I use are Sony A7IV 4K 25fps 4:2:2 10 bit XAVC S codec 140mbps
Is there a simple way to convert Premiere Pro captions to all lowercase? The options only include ALL CAPS and SMALL CAPS, but not entirely lowercase. Other editing apps offer this feature. Hope you can help me! Thankss!
In Premiere, is it possible to locate the project from which you exported a file? So, I have an exported file, viz., an mp4 file, but I can't recall from which project I generated it. Am I out of luck? Thanks.
Since I upgraded to PP 25.0, Windows 11 no longer recognizes it as the app to use to open .prproj files. Setting it in the Control Panel doesn't work, nor does right-clicking on the prproj file and setting it in the file properties; Windows refuese to recognize it as a valid app. I uninstalled and reinstalled PP: no joy. Did a quick look at the registry, but did't want to spend much time in that rabbit hole untill posting here.
Issue - When using proxies, they work fine but after I stabilize a clip it no longer uses the proxy file, making playback laggy. Adobe Premiere Pro version number: v24.6.1 b2Operating system - Windows or macOS, and which version of those operating systems?System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:Windows 11 PCCPU i7-11700KFGPU 3080RAM 64gbHard Drive internal m.2Video format: h264 MP4 (but also others as well, sometimes our cameras are mixed) and I tried proxies as h264 quicktime and prores.Workflow details: I typically import MP4 footage, interpret 59fps to 23fps for slow mo, then proxy. This didn't work in past versions but now it seems to. After cutting some clips I apply warp stabilize to them, at which time the proxy files don't display any more, even with the proxy toggle on and off, no change. I made proxies at 1/4 and with the watermark just to be sure. I also tested on footage that was NOT interpreted to be sure that isn't the mix up, proxies still disappear.Steps to r
Hi, friends, I wish you all a nice 2025!I've noticed two somewhat annoying things in PrPro 2025.1.0(b73)- After an hour or so of editing, it becomes unusually sluggish, with lags as long as half a second to playback. Restarting the program seems to fix it... only for another hour or so. This is a performance issue new to me with my hardware.- It stopped autosaving. It's configured to do so, but it won't, not for love, not for money. Simply put, this version does not autosave. I am being forced of saving copies at regular intervals. Are any of you experiencing this nonsense?Other than that, it works fine, at least the features I got to test in such short time.I'm on an oldie but goldie PC AMD R3700X, 64GB RAM DDR4, Radeon RX6700 XT 12 GB VRAM DDR5, which had no problems until now and does not slug around in any other video app. Win10 up to date, CC up to date. No unusual resource consumption, 46% memory, 6% CPU used when lagging on Premiere.
I updated halfway through a project from v24 to v25.1 and now when I try to warp stabilize my footage it hangs on the first frame an remains at 0%. I've tried the normal fixes (Nesting and matching comp size to the source footage). There are no time effects applied to the footage. Just your standard real-time shot that's got a slight bit of shake. Funnily enough, when I open my older v24 project the stabilizing works so this must be a v25.1 issue. I see a thread regarding this issue in the v25 beta, but this is the full standard v25.1 release. Osx, Apple M2 Max, 15.1.1
I am editing a project in which the master audio for interviews was recorded by a professional sound recordist. Some of the rough-cuts of the interview were edited by a previous editor in a sequence using audio that was fed into the camera for time code purposes (it sounds okay, which is probably why he missed this). Can anyone suggest an easier way for me to easily sync the separately recorded master audio tracks to the clips on the timeline? Thank you for your help in advance.
Just wondering what I'm doing wrong with regard to the Zoom Level of the Program Panel. For example I might have the Zoom Level set to Fit and after doing some editing I notice that it has changed to another Zoom Level. I don't know how I'm causing this to happen.Sometimes I do use different Zoom Levels but I would rather that it only happens when I do it intentionally.
To be clear, it's not that the program crashes and shows a report. It just shows the initial load screen then....vanishes. I've tried to reset the preferences but I've helt alt (PC user) until the cows come home and it doesn't do anything. I've uninstalled everything. Even used the CC cleaner to get rid of all programs but when I reinstall it does the same thing. Or, in this case, does nothing. I moved from a GTX 1080 to a Radeon RX 7900 XT. That's the only thing that changed. Thoughts?
I seem to have accidentally deleted Premiere from my computer and lost all presets and keyboard shortcuts. Any way I can recover them if I have emptied my trash?
How do I make sure the stroke size (and shadow) stays the same, no matter how long my text is?Well, I draw a rectangle and select "pin to" my text in Essential Graphic, it works fine except that the stroke size becomes larger or smaller depending on how much my text deviates from the length which my rectangle i drawn. How do I make it stay the same?
When I import any MOGRT Premiere Pro goes into the not responding thing. I use every other Adobe product no issues and this is a newer, monster machine in terms of ram and GPU. It is frustrating. I've never experienced this with PP before. It is unusable??? I'm on W11 with 96G ram and an AMD RX 7900XT GPU with 24G ram?
This issue has been fixed in Premiere Pro version 23.2. Please update to get the fix. We have identified a file name issue affecting H.264 and HEVC/H.265 exports on Windows with Premiere Pro 23.1 The issue impacts H.264 and HEVC/H.265 exports to folders with names that use double-byte characters, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or extended ASCII characters, like accents and umlauts. Affected users will see this message: File importer detected an inconsistency in the file structure of %filename.mp4%. Reading and writing this file’s metadata (XMP) has been disabled. If you are experiencing this issue, use one of these options: Please update to version 23.2 where the issue is fixed The following workarounds are for 23.1 Choose an export destination folder that uses only single-byte ASCII English characters (no accents, umlauts, etc.) Export to a different format, such as Apple ProRes. For H.264 exports only: disable hardware-accelerated encoding.
Hi!I am currently attempting to develop a plugin that reads and modifies the text content, styling, and position of text clips in a video track for Premiere. The goal is to create a tool that can help with translation of captions for filmmakers that use non-standard captioning with dynamic positions and color. Many filmmakers are using text layers for captions in order to communicate additional information to deaf/hard-of-hearing viewers. These projects sometimes use older features such as title clips to achieve this.I hit a wall pretty early on with Extendscript, Premiere Pro 2025, and CEP 12 when I realized that the Extendscript API is not able to read/write text clips from a video track or captions. Does this same limitation exist currently with the C++ SDK for Premiere Pro? I was able to find this lone comment from Adobe Employee @Bruce Bullis. That comment doesn't have any information though and the question it is responding too isn't very clear. Would love insight from any e
